Old Times

Vulpesen allowed the shift in her to go unmentioned, simply waiting until Alexandra regaine dher composure to speak again. Afterall, he hadn't come here to discuss such things. This was business, and when one's business included simply trying to not die,it was sometimes best to keep it as professional as possible. "You're not entirely wrong. I do focus on combat, but that's because I had to. If it were up to me, I'd know every skill you know and more. But we both know why that hasn't come to pass." He was of course, referring to his rejection by the jedi, a memory which still left a foul tate on his tongue. All the missed opportunities his misplaced loyalty had caused him...

"My coat has come in handy many times, preventing my enemies from cutting me down. But I'd like to get something better. I want to learn to imbue it with the force. And perhaps, start imburing things in a similar fashion s you do your tree. Something I can do in my spare time and during the days when I simply prepare for what's to come." Reaching to the edge of his coat, the Valde brought it up, showing the glistening dust that lay trapped behind a layer of adhesive. "It's certainly saved my life before. But I'm certain I could prepare myself far better for my enemies."

"Imbueing your coat?" Alexandra raised a brow and smiled, turning to deliver a quick strike at his shoulder and letting him see another far more natural smile as she laughed a bit. The man was asking of her something extremely simple compared to her tree and far quicker to craft.

Her hand came to rest on his shoulder, the same one she had just punched softly a few moments ago and she sighed.

"You know Vulpesen, you had me expecting something very different, like turning a statue into some kind of conduit for the force. Imbueing your coat is a far simpler process and something you could do to a limited capacity yourself, if you tried hard enough. You are more than proficient in the basis for such a thing, especially with how you manipulate the force." She said, her hand glowing as new strands shot out from her tree and pushed into her body, curling up her spine and down her arm until a small mark was placed there.

She focused primarily on the single feeling she felt right now, an overwhelming joy that filled her body and helped her to create the mark through the force. It would not alter his coat, or even give it special qualities, but instead was a point that he could focus the force into. She prepared it much like she had turned her body into a conduit, allowing him to use that as a starting point for any alterations he so chose to make on the coat itself.

"You know how to manipulate the force, it will do as you want but do not expect grand results so early. Use that mark I placed there as a starting point, a place to focus the force and use it as the thing to focus on. Imbuement of items is manipulation of the force to a high degree and then grounding it into the item. It will take time before you can make any meaningful creation if you have never done it before... but think of it this way. You know how to make your body lighter, to move quicker... apply that idea to the idea of creating a lighter coat, or perhaps something with more flexibility to it. Then use the spot I left to focus that idea... grounding it is like with the flower from before, tying the alterations down with the energy you impart on the item."

As Alexandra worked, Vulpesen closed his eyes and focused himself through the force. The force was not something that was so easily seen with physical senses. But when Vulepsen reached out, every current brighter and more vibrant than any piece of art. He could watch the the ebb and flow of the energy as it moved around him, bending to the woman's will to show what she was talking about. "Makes enough sense. But this coat isn't the object I had in mind. The wilders back home are preparing something new for me." Watching the flow move around it, it washed over the outer part of his coat, fended off by the tarentatek leather within it, though the mark did find an open spot on his chest. "Our plans will turn the material into a slight conduit. Not too dissimilar from my pendant, but more in the way that it will be easier for me to touch with the force."

Finally focusing on the mark itself, Vulpesen layered the force over it, creating a barrier like he had so many times before on the battlefield. But rather than project it outwards, he pressed it into the fabric, using Alex's aid to cement it in place along the cloth. She was right about its difficulty for him, or rather, its lack of. Thinking back, it wasn't the first time he had done something like this.

Alexandra let him work now that the mark had placed itself on the shirt. Her hands would go back to rest behind her back and she would then turn to go clean her supplies, organizing them while Vulpesen continued. With careful fungersshe drew forth another seed and made preparations for it before pressing it into the ground and then giving it water, needing thsoe aids even for this one. It was then that she reached out with the force and created another plant, one that could be seen in small patches around the garden.

It was a deep blue colored flower, one that seemed to be bioluminescien and held that light for a while. She had started to grow the flower to give Vulpesen the time he required to do as he was, and she in the meantime could focus on the very same garden that she called home. There was little she could do for Vulpesen at this point and even if she wanted to hug him, or help him, either would be wrong as he needed to figure out how to manipulate the force on his own to that degree... that and she couldn not do so without things becoming awkward for herself.

She thought on the matter for a few more seconds as her hand drew upwards and the flower finished its growth, shining a bit and she loved seeing the flower at night, knowing the picture they created here.

It was only when she finished, that she looked back over her shoulder at Vulpesen and checking on what he was doing or if he was hung up on the process of creation that he had been tasked with.

For several moments, Vulpesen layered on the barriers, studying the mark as he did so. It was easier than he thought it would be, to imbue an object with his own power. Of course, having the initial foundation did help quite a bit. After a while, Vulpesen lifted up the coat, and inspected it. It was certainly a little a stiffer than before, it also seemed a lot stronger. "I suppose with practice, I might learn to do it a little faster... and a little neater."

"Practice makes perfect after all fox brains, so don't worry too much about the quality of your efforts right now. They will improve. I know that much about you." She touched the petals of the flower she had grown, tracing its shape and smiling as she closed her eyes.

Her hands came clasped together, and her head bowed to the flower, breathing in and focusing on the force. She said a quick prayer, holding there and letting the air fall still while Vulpesen did as he wished. She had kept the seeds he was to use open if he wished to continue his own practice she would not stop him. She would continue with the specific set of seeds that she had beside her though, the one that had grown the blue flower infront of her.

It was after the prayer like movements, that she withdrew a second seed and placed it into the ground before covering it and closing her eyes again. Her hand hovered in the air over the flower and slowly rose, the stem of the plant poking through and breaking the surface of the ground as it continued to grow. And when it started to bud, shortly spreading out its petals there after, her eyes did move to Vulpesen, openning enough to look at him.

"I'm sorry by the way... I never said that. I should have known She was going to try something sooner or later, I just didn't expect that." There was no ned for elaboration, he knew what she was talking about.
