Old Wounds

The brunette gasped, "For free?" she placed a hand against her chest and swooned against her chair. "What has this galaxy come to?!" Had she not been strapped into her seat, she probably would have collapsed out onto the floor for dramatic effect, but as it were she just remained slacked against her seat.

"Okay I'm going to ignore your tone," He said playfully. "Alright you take over the controls for a bit, I'm going to make something to eat." He said as he unstrapped himself from the chair. "All you have to do is keep an eye on the control panel and monitor the readouts. If anything spikes let me know, if anything jumps into the red then you hit the emergency shut down on the hypderdrive." He pointed out all the necessary controls to her. "I'll teach you how to fly this thing yet." He said clapping her on the shoulder as he went back to the kitchen.

"Wait a minute!" Anora unstrapped from her seat, but only so that she could get turned around in it completely. "You're making food? This thing has autopilot!" she protested. Hell, she hadn't even realized she was hungry until he mentioned making food. And yet she didn't get up, juuust in case.

See? She was learning.

"Well I was going to make something for you too, but if you're going to be snippy I can always toss you back into that cage and eat in front of you." He grinned at her. "Plus I would like to have some eyes on the readouts just in case something goes wrong with the electrical system again, but if you want to end up broken down into your base molecules in a hyperspace accident...then we can leave everything in the hands of the autopilot. Either that or you could do the cooking." He said crossing his arms and leaning against the bulkhead.

"Hey, hey," Anora shifted a bit and lifted a hand to point at him. "That was not snippy. It was excitement. Seems I'm not the only one who has things to learn around here." she informed him, and then slid from her seat so that she could get into the pilot's chair instead. "Don't worry, I will not let us become space dust." she assured him.

"I've seen your flying so the jury is still out on that one." he laughed as he made them both some dinner. It wasn't anything fancy but you couldn't beat a nice nerf steak. He served her up first so she could get out of the pilots seat and eat. "There you go, that should quell your....excitement." He said as he went back and made his own plate and took his seat in the pilot's chair again.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah..." she let out in reply, but while he was cooking? Anora kept things smooth sailing - not that there was a whole lot for her to do of course, but still!

When a plate was brought to her, she shifted seats again once she had food in hand. "Thank you," It smelled good, and her stomach most definitely agreed and growled in both approval and anticipation. Thinking back, there wasn't really a whole lot she had eaten since all of this began.

"No problem," He said after chewing on a piece of steak and swallowing it. "Can't have you telling people I locked you up in a cage and didn't feed you now can I? I'm not a total barbarian after all."

"Mm, the verdict is still out on that one." Anora mused between bites. She ate quietly from then, up until she couldn't eat anymore, and then she sighed and relaxed against her chair. "Alright...maybe not a total barbarian...."

"Okay so as long as I can cook I'm not a total barbarian," He grinned as he took her plate from her and carried it to the kitchen. "I'm starting to figure out how you work Anora Vahn, it's not an easy task but I'm slowly putting the puzzle pieces together."

The brunette made a loud, thoughtful sound. "Well if you figure it out, please let me know." she requested, and then got herself to her feet - after taking a moment to make sure everything was still going well with their flight. She made her way to the kitchen in his wake and then put just enough speed in her walk to be able to step aside him, slip the plates from his grasp, and pass him up.

"You cooked dinner, I'll clean up." she told him. "Go sit back in your fancy chair and keep us from becoming space dust."

Tyran Numeck

Mandalorian Supercommando
"Well look at you being all helpful." He grinned as he turned around and made his way back to the chair. He wasn't going to protest if she was more than willing to do the cleanup work after dinner. "It's not really up to me if we become space dust or not, but the skill of the creepy mechanic who kept leering at you and promptly got a wrench upside his head." He said matter of fact like as he dropped back into the chair and fixed his eyes on the controls.

"See, right there. You knew it was creepy, and yet you let him keep doing it." Anora pointed out. She had gathered up the rest of what needed to be cleaned up as well and got to work. It wasn't a whole lot, so it wouldn't take long. Otherwise she may not have offered after all. Regardless of how she had grown up - if someone cooked, the other did the clean up.

"Hey, the guy was up on the top of the ship and I was on the ground." He said in his defense. "I just knew I couldn't have you storming out half naked and causing an even bigger scene while I'm trying to stay out of the spotlight." Then he turned and pointed at her. "I didn't say anything when you threw that wrench at him though now did I?!"

"I'm pretty sure you could have gotten up there to him," she paused, and then she also turned around to face him and laid one of her hands against her hip. "Wait a minute, if you were on the ground, how did you know what he was doing, seeing, and what kind of a reaction to expect out of me?"

She arched a brow at him, her fingers drumming against her hip and yet there was the starting of an amused smirk on her lips as she waited for his answer.

"Hey!" He said with a very large grin on his face. "I prefer quirky to creepy. Get your descriptors right!" He said knowing he was busted and there was no point in trying to dig himself out of this particular hole because he'd only wind up deeper in it.

"Well the fact that you were in the same exact position as the mechanic, only being less mechanical than he was, kind of makes you ultra creepy." Anora stated, matter of fact like even. "So quirky you may be, but it makes you no less creepy."

Tyran Numeck

Mandalorian Supercommando
"I wasn't in the same position though." He said back. "I was on the ground, the mechanic was hanging from the viewport." He said pointing at the front of the cockpit. "The only time I saw you half naked was when I stopped you from rushing out of the ship. The only reason I knew you'd be coming out of it was because he was kind of narrating his experience for everyone nearby."
