DESCRIPTION

-905 ABY-

Starting the design phase as a luxury liner for Kurayami in early 905 ABY, the need quickly shifted to a black project at Nubia Stardrives as soon as the Blackwall was coming near its fruition, the 'Olys Turhaya' Blockade Runner is a craft that was purpose built to defeat such an impediment to travel so that families may be reunited, goods may be freely traded, and secrets may be swapped as needed. To do so It is equipped with an absolutely mind-boggling suite of stealth features, including those to keep it hidden through those who would try to scry its position in the Force with the inclusion of Grade 3 nullification resin infused along with nykkalt and phrik, into a reinforced gammaplast main hull. A layer of chromium covers the main hull plates with added aurodium accents to mimc a luxury ship of Nubian design, on top of this is a bandorium nanosphere clearcoat to provide an extra level of security again detection when other stealth systems are deactivated.A HIMS device keeps it chugging through all but the heaviest of interdiction fields, gravitic amplitude modulation makes it appear as though there is a quick blip on the sensor that could easily be chalked up to a false return from interstellar interference. The inclusion of a mag field generator means that the magnetic signature is barely above that of the standard background radiation, and the Vanish 2 military sensor mask makes sure that the craft is all but invisible to optical and other standard sensors, this is enhanced further with the inclusion of a cutting edge ECM package. To maintain effectiveness of these systems there an equally cutting edge ECCM package installed.

In addition to the above systems the specially modified RSD 88D-II ion engines are outfitted with thrust trace dampers, exhaust baffles, and are set up to burn TibannaX. They have the capability to propel the ship to blindingly fast speeds and allow it to do things that, well one wouldn't think a corvette should do. Probably they shouldn't but don't tell the pilot that.

Powering all of the above are dual isotope-5 reactors. This ship has power to spare which is god, given it also houses a TIE/es assault shuttle in a single bay for emergencies, so making sure that has power enough to go should it be needed is definitely on the pre-flight checks. The shuttle is also utilized to shuttle passengers and cargo to the main ship when conditions are calm enough . All this is kept cool by a supercooled tibanna sleeve over the base layer of the phrik frame which is then set over by a laer of pyronium heatsinks between it and the main hull material.

Unlike the 'Bulwark' class which was heavily automated to allow it to be piloted by a single person, the 'Olys Turhaya' has not been heavily automated. It was desinged from the outset for a single pilot, but all other systems still need constant monitoring and maintenance which means there is a crew of astromech droids zipping around at all times to fix or adjust some part or another. Barely controlled chaos is the best description. In the few moments of downtime that Kurayami does get during a trip, he can be found in the meditation chamber onboard. The chamber itself is connected to his quarters onboard, but a stark contrast in that there are shards of kyber embedded in the walls of the chamber. Where they are from is open to interpretation, but the feeling is akin to stepping into the eye of a storm. While everything around seems turbulent and evershifting, you are grounded and calm.

In terms of defense and offense the ship is by far more defensively minded given its role. It mounts redundant particle, xythan force, and molecular shields, retractable fast track point defense anti-missile laser cannons, and a missile deactivation transmitter. In terms of offense it mounts four kyber enhanced composite beam pinpoint laser cannons, and no other armament or option to add offensive power later.

Overall, though the 'Olys Turhaya' is a powerhouse in terms of stealth blockade runners, it also suffers in that should it be cracked open, it would take little more than a luck shot to completely disable or destroy the ship.
