Description: Designed to be carried withing a transport or lifted underneath a shuttle, this turret is a innovation in modern IFF indentifaction and tracking system that allows it to lock on to any ship not transmitting the correct IFF signature. This turret has a lot of advantages and a lot of drawbacks. Obvisouly one of its drawbacks is its weight which means it can only be moved with heavy equipment. One advantage is its range, while the at 11 Kilometers the chance of hitting some is 10%,a group of 10 or 20 of these could lock down a very large amount of land. Due to the fact that the turret might lock on to debris,it has a system which detects the heat eminated from the exhaust port of a ship and fires.

Could you post a source link under the image? Otherwise, it's basically a sam-missile launcher. How does it aim the missiles? On board computing? Is there a weak droid brain in this thing?

How does it determine the difference between a ship and a falling rock. Neither would have the right IFF signature, would they both be targeted? I'm not trying to be a smart aleck here, I just want the specific limitations of this device. Does it track a starship's heat signatures? Background radiation related to a certain form of propulsion?
