On a scale of 1 to 10...

[member="Edston Firestone"] It's that time of the year. People are busy with the holidays.

Just going out on a limb here...but...You probably got banned from the rank request topic because you constantly are changing your name and thus, are requesting new ranks.

That isn't what I thought... I am mostly wondering how long I'm banned from that topic and why I was mostly ignored by the friggen Galactic Republic before I made this thread at this point...
You could... oh, I don't know. Ask?

It seems like the notification was somehow mislaid.

Here at SWRP we don't have restrictions on how often you can request a name change or a change of rank bars. For one, it's a lot of tedious work to keep track of profiles and dates, and second it rarely becomes an actual problem.

However, such generosity can be abused.

[member="Edston Firestone"] for the next little while you will not be able to request a name or rank change on your writer account.

I hope you take this as it's intended, as an encouragement to either create character profiles or to focus on a single character.

You're only saying that because my guns are pointed at someone else.

This time.

Ok let me stop you right there. Major factions have tons of people in them. As I writer I have help rejuvenate NFU focus not once but twice and helped build their current Military structure within the Galactic Republic and I still paid unholy heck trying to get people to pay attention to me for longer than 30 seconds. The Same thing with One Sith. If you want people to pay attention to you and what you are trying to do then you need to bring something to the table other than woe is me.

I have had more threads get ignored or become complete flops but I keep plugging try to get something going. With this toon I am 0 for 6 in successful threads. You don't fix it by continuing to toss up why me, or woe is me threads.

Find a concept and then start posting. Crash any Open RP thread you can find if need be.

Look, before I even joined the Republic, I made that faction thread for bringing a character back into play. At the time this very topic was made, only 1 Republic member actually tried to RP with me even after an OOC thread was made in the Republic forums by one of the admins. Perhaps I am looking at this the wrong way, but I don't even know the hierarchy of thread types or even if there is one.

Point is, I don't fully know if I even did the right thing by making it a faction thread instead of a public thread when I made it.

Again if you want a daily hand holding experience jumping into a faction with a billion people working on 100,000 things at once is an unrealistic goal. Look at the thread list in my Bio. Well over half are incomplete........ it happens. Instead of whinning about how nobody wants to RP with you, which is the biggest cause of nobody wanting to RP with you, dust yourself off and try again. The faction thread right out of the gate didn't work so create a public one, or as I siad early find an open one somebody else did and jump in it. Let your writing draw people in.

As much as I may have had my issues with the Galactic Republic that failure is not their's. Kiskla and Avalore and who's the other one Corvus......... have way too much on their plate to coddle everyone that comes their way even if they wanted too. Somebody with your post count should know that long before now.

There is no heirarchy of threads there never has been. One type is just as lucky to get you posts as any other type of thread. look in any role play list for any character and it will become very apparent RP is a game of chance. Some threads work and others don't. You either keep rolling the dice or you just stop doing RP.
