Scar-Faced Hag
Cora felt his hand rest against his own and she exhaled, suddenly, audibly. Blue eyes fell closed. She tried to nod, but moving made her feel dizzy, as if she would float away.
"I am," She answered after a long pause, not sounding entirely sure.
Even as her senses gave in to inebriation, it had not been lost on Cora that a year ago, they would've had no trouble filling the time.
What surprised her was the lack of true regret she felt. She felt terrible for hurting Makko and those around her, for forsaking the relationships she'd built with them in favor of an unwanted union, but she could not bring herself to regret leaving. Past the indoctrination of her father, was a fanatical duty to her family. Her siblings. Her blood. Cora would burn herself to ash in order to keep them safe. She didn't know how to reconcile that with the duties she'd taken on as Jedi.
A sharp intake of breath expanded her chest, followed by a quiet exhale.
"Just…be here with me right now."
