The Hunger awaits
He wondered if this was simply youthful luck or the brazen stupidity of the young, but as soon as the masked man had manageed to calmly silence the poor survivor, using the remaining lifeforce of the trapped and quite frankly doomed man as his own nourishment, some brazen youth appeared with his lightsaber at the ready, silently challenging the masked man for what he had done. Alas, rather than being provoked or reacting in any sort of violent manner to this challenge, the masked man simply tilted his head when looking straight at the man who seemed to be helbent on putting on a show.
"Dear boy, though painful it may have been, what I did was an act of mercy," Motioning with one of his hands towards the obvious pool of blood which colored the sand underneath the pieces of metal and debris which covered the lower half of the now dried up corpse. "This man was already dead, but rather than have him suffer the exposure to thirst, the sands themselves and perhaps even those serpent masters who are known for violent tendencies both brutal and savage, I simply had the remainder of his life have meaning, have a purpose. If you still think it would've been better to save a man who no doubt lost the use of his legs, probably had severe internal bleedings and obviously some shattered bones, torn organs and more...I won't deny you your opinion, but I would suggest putting down that pitiful laserpointer of yours."
Letting out a sigh, Kredius turned towards the two and made a sound akin to clearing his throat. "Will you two just stop it, a man has died yes...at the hands of my attendant, but this is a crashed ship, some people can't be saved, a cruel and harsh reality when we're in such a situation, but..." Looking up, Kredius could notice the arrival of yet another survivor. Not at all a bad sign, more survivors was always better on a planet like this, though he did wonder...for who it was better, those living on the planet or the survivors themselves. As soon as he wished to greet this new arrival properly though, she instantly started berrating the masked man, which made the viceroy slightly cringe. The masked man had already been calm and collected enough to not go into too much conflict, but with another one spouting out accusations, Kredius knew well enough that the most savage thing on this planet could no longer be said to be the serpent masters. "Now now, let's not make any decisions and accusations without basis so hastily."
The masked man just sighed, seemingly ignoring both Beric Layne and Allya Vi'Dreya , jumping up onto the largest part of the debris, seemingly continuing his work as a lookout. "Too much noise will attract unwanted...attention."
"Forgive my companion, Major Vi'Dreya," Motioning calmly at the dried up corpse and the young man who had nearly accosted them. "Though terrible it may seem, I do not think it is such a bad thing to spare a man the agony of trying to survive in such harsh conditions as this world will no doubt provide us with. Thise IS Ophideraan after all, is it not and we all know what happens to those who aren't fit for the... dealings of the so-called serpent masters around these parts. Is it not better to die a quick death with meaning than a slow and torturous one without?"
