Why was it whenever He showed himself, the insects and underlings showed themselves? Was He cursed to live this life for the rest of time? He almost wished He could do as his children did, and travel back to a time when those below him knew their place and acted accordingly. Yet as He looked upon his only son, and as his son answered him in kind, Those lowly insects came crawling out of the woodwork like termites who'd had their fill of wood.
He heard the voices, and in some odd way, they all faded toward the background save two; His daughter and His son. His son answered quietly and quickly. Wolf's sister kept protesting, but Ket paid her no mind. As much as He loved her, she could never know the bond between a Father and his Son. Wolfram Van-Derveld. His one and ONLY Son. He was the rightful heir to the Van-Derveld legacy. Such was the way of their family line. Such as Ket himself became Heir to the Van-Derveld name and to the Schwartzweld like his older brother before Him, and their father before that, Wolfram was Heir apparent. It was for this reason Ket subjected him to such things. For if Wolfram could not hold his own, Kat would still inherit all that their family was. An entire world filled with riches, slaves, and total control.
Such was the nature of the Lupine race. Humans have always and would always be below them. Such was life.Yet not only humans, but Zabrak began to challenge him. And Ahroun was not pleased. A Zabrak thought to tell LORD AHROUN what to do? The only thing that saved him was the fact that Ahroun picked up the scent of one of his greatest adversaries. Yet...He was but a child. The Starchaser line. Marek must have copulated. The Lupine Lord chuckled as his daughter pleaded with him. Ahroun let the boy go, as He would never truly harm his first-born son. He cared too much for his blood. These were the product of his mate. He saw his children as those above the rest.
Yet, Starchaser and SirDio both felt the need to tell him what to do.
Lord Ahroun felt no need to heed their call.
He knelt before Wolfram, and He smiled.
"My dear boy, I know I am your father. I am not a typical Father, but I promise you, I shall help you in any way I can. Your twin sister is my greatest creation. To know you came forth at the same time makes me even more proud."
Ahroun then let Ket come forth once more, and Ket took His son by the arm and lifted him up.
"My father forsook me, and his father did the same. The blood of the Lupine let every son find himself. Yet guidance would have made us better than we are. And guidance I shall give you, my son. Within you lay the talent and the chance to become more than what we are."
Yet just then, Ket looked at the rest of those gathered and grinned.
"Try me. You will all die should you try to harm my children." he said, as he motioned for Kat to come to both himself and Wolf.
