Blood was drawn from her nose by the pommel strike, but Mal went back onto the offensive, only to feel everything behind her explode. Her thoughts jumped to Void, and she nearly looked behind her to see where the Darth might have been. She was distracted for just a hair of a moment, and was newly caught off guard by Ordin's strike. She stepped out of the way, her blade slid in down and across, only for Ordin to parry it and fire a short burst of lightning into her face. She stumbled back, the burst not enough to hurt her, but it played hell with her implants. She fell into using the force now, prepared to go back into the fight, only to find Void had joined the fray as well, though she seemed to be hurt. The two flanked the jedi, and laid into him with everything they had. Ordin was good, a master even, at sword play, but he knew well enough he was outmatched here; though Void would manage a glancing blow on the man's left arm from her assault. Ordin made a hasty retreat, and it was rather obvious why. The ground under the pair gave, as the sound of snapping metal was followed by a sudden plunge, as Ordin had quite literally dragged them down with him. She heard her name be cried out for, as the Darth merely sought to try and find a hold to stop her fall, but failed. Mal was prepared to brace for a fall, only to find that Void had taken hold of her, seizing her arm and slowing their momentum down with her lightsaber. They shared a glance, and Mal felt the shifts of rage she had been channeling into herself waver ever so slightly. Once again, Void had saved her, and Mal wasn't entirely sure why. The moment was short lived, as the wall that Void had been trying to slow their wall with gave way, and the Darths were soon separated by the ensuing fall. She struck something metal, feeling it ping against her armor, before she ended up on ground, with a pile of debris separating her and Void. She winced, tasting the blood from her nose had found it's way into her mouth, and her face mildly singed by the lightning burst from her master. To her surprise, however, she found that she was not alone. She could sense Void near by, and took comfort in that, sadly there was a more concerning matter at hand. Several scrap droids attempted to halt her, firing randomly towards her, but she paid them little mind, as she could see a wounded Ordin just past them. She lashed out with her left hand, pure rage powering her push as she sent her opponents, and using her speed she dashed towards him. Her blade flared to life, as she began to lay into him. Her rage was consuming her, as she pulled upon everything she could muster to match her old mentor. Sadly, Ordin knew her well, and she found that no matter how fast or hard she struck at him, he knew how to stop her strikes.
"Why can't you see it Alana? You don't belong with them, you were always my pupil, and you always will be." He taunted her, his posture melting into a total defense, as she was starting to wear him down, his old age getting the best of him.
"Perhaps a second tragedy will reforge you, and I'll be there this time to fix what's left." He continued, sliding past a strike aimed at his side, only to gasp in pain as Mal readjusted her blade and nicked him in the side.
"ENOUGH!" That was all she could muster out, the rage was palpable as she couldn't keep it in check. He had to die, he needed to die. He was going to die. Her blows began harder, each strike coming harder and faster than the last, as she was working through his defense, slamming through the practiced stance of her mentor that so many years ago she had sought to best.
"You're going to get her killed Alana, just like Ines, just like everyone you've ever cared for. You're a monster. My monster." He words drilled into her soul, prodding at the vulnerability that was still there, it had always been there and he knew how to strike at it every. single time.
"SHUT UP!" She bellowed, her voice a shattering roar, as the effects of a force scream sent the man stumbling back, his ears bleeding from the attack. She had her chance, an opening to end it all. A grin formed behind the face plate, as Mal lined up for a killing blow, knowing her masters days were numbered; then it happened. A droid was sent flying towards the man, who almost instinctively threw it upwards, causing it's faulty power core to overload. The place was starting to come down, and Mal soon realized what the jedi had done. He grinned at her with that sadistic little expression, his eyes filled with madness, as if he had won be getting them all killed. She felt the temple collapsing, it's top half starting to cave in from the damage, and it would crush any one left inside. Ordin stumbled back against the wall, sliding down as if he had admitted defeat, but that wasn't who Mal was concerned about. The two Sith shared a glance, and Mal's eyes widened in shock.
"VOID N-" She was thrown back and out of the way of the collapse, as the falling wave of dirt and debris blew over the Darth. Mal struck the ground hard, and drug her armored claws into the ground to keep herself from sliding. She looked to the rubble pile where Void had been standing, her struggled back to her feet. Why had she done that?
"Void?" Mal called out, but it was all in vain, the Sith was gone. She didn't need to do that. Ordin was gone, but had she lost Void as a consequence? A newly born rage seeped into her being, as she wasn't willing to accept this. No. She couldn't accept this. Her eye implants switched to pick up heat signatures, her ear implants honing in on the sounds of breathing, as the Darth limped back towards the rubble pile. Mal sunk to her knees, as she pressed her hands onto the ground, and dug in deep for what she was about to do. Despite the pain, Mal would attempt to find Void within the wreckage, and with a great deal of strain, attempt to lift to debris off her. It was the heaviest thing she had ever lifted, and indeed she felt as if her shoulders were about to pop out of their sockets as she took on the weight, but this had to be done; she couldn't let it end like this.
