Tera Highwind
Character
Well, weren't they eager campers? The entire squadron, such as it was now, went rushing out of the door, dogpiling towards the fighters in the hangar as everyone rushed on to...well do what? It wasn't like the ships were going to get away from them, and the exercise could surely wait a few seconds. Still, As Tera bobbed along in their wake the green-haired woman found her light eyes dancing between her teammates, observing their reactions. It was telling, from the bright eager enthusiasm of the young pilot, Cody, or the single minded focus of their new commander as she drove straight to her X-wing, she was going to be very business focused. The most telling reaction though came from their Corellian XO, she did not seem happy with the ground crew who had been mantaining her fighter, so she liked those little tweaks. Well, the best way to know them, that was to get in and actually fight them in the sim.
Adjusting her path to the side Tera approached her own machine, nodding amicably at the mechanics working around the other fighters as she approached in silence. Raising one hand the woman ran her hand over the cool metal of the fighter, walking around the machine, her eyes dancing across the armour plates as she completed a circuit around the machine. It wasn't that you could always spot any problems, but it was a ritual she'd had drilled into her, you never knew what your eyes might spot. This time however, there was nothing, no problems that lept out of her as she dropped into the cockpit, fingers running through the startup checklist, the cockpit thrumming to file around her.
"Kids huh XO?" a smile touched the woman's lips as the image of the battlefield appeared around her, "You'd just tempting me to cut in and make it a threeway."
