OOC Some Like it Hoth | GA Invasion of FO Hoth & Bespin Hex

Hey folks sorry if I missed anyone been having issues

However! I'm here to extend a offer because I think it'll generate some story for my characters and others

Who wants to capture a first order special forces pilot? I'm on bespin in the thread so if your there just message me and I'm sure something can be worked

I had an absolute BLAST - pun intended - with [member="Cameron Centurion"] and of course, the lovely [member="Imka Larue"] for giving us that epic twist in the story.

My part on it icly is done; what happens next is dependent on those who are on Anoat. Thanks to the First Order and my Alliance peeps for a fun roleplay :D

I can't wait to read what happens in the next few hours!

Allyson was inept at sensing things through the force, but with this control based Force power – her mind could distinguish quickly where they needed to go for the best probable location of survival. [Instinctive Astrogation Control] The route would be a weird one, having her mind register the fact that there are mines and the like blocking the typical entry and exit routes.

The Itsukusk had deactivated its sector-wide interdiction capabilities which just left the grav mines. These, however, were in the distance and not in the direction the station was headed. Her stomach lurched as it forced its way into hyperspace.
As it was little bits in quite a lengthy string of posts maybe the way we activated the hyperdrive was just missed? Not to worry if so :) I'm a just a little confused now. If the station tried to jump away from the battle (quoted above in case missed, the battle is away from anoat and its gravitational field) what external force is acting on the station to move it into the battle?

Also that was probably my largest invasion posts since fleeting as Irys against 5 GR members. And was damn hard to write too! Really enjoyed getting involved with what Cameron and Micah brought to this. And thanks for coming [member="Ipsy"] !

From my understanding, the station has become destabilized and chunks of it have been torn or blasted off by Cameron's boom or the self-destruct charges that the boom triggered (as well as the trauma of being ripped out of hyperspace violently). The direction of the jump, even had it been clearly established previously (and it hadn't) is no longer relevant given the fact that the station is being worked on by other forces, related to gravity, the vacuum, and the explosions.

It's worth noting that the station jumping at all was unlikely given Aedan's interdiction, so if you want to play it like the station attempted a jump away (again this wasn't specified) but was rubber banded back because of the interdiction you failed to consider that's fair too. But there is debris and bits of the station careening around the battlefield at the moment.

Predator Interdiction Drive is what he used per this post.

Turning and nodding to a man seated at a seemingly useless control panel he activated the ships Predator Interdiction Drives sending out a burst that would sap the speed from the fighter swarm as they neared it before he hit another button causing the Retribution shielding to send an energy back feed to any ship that targeted it with laser weaponry as vulcan's and point defense turrets opened up on the now slowed fighters having an easier time of targeting them.

It isn't actually sending out an interdiction field, it doesn't affect hyperspace travel, it is just named unfortunately (for clarity sake). From the wookie article, it looks like it is used preciesly how he is quoted using it, slowing realspace ships.

Well either way, the story that has unfolded is pretty dam epic. I'm digging the station falling apart after all the ic actions. I know Cameron loved how it all turned out and we are both well pleased.

We started out with the intention to hijack to disrupt the sectors survelliemce but this turned out sooooo much better.

Props to everyone, First Order and GA alike.

I must have angered the great Lesbian Goddess to deserve such a fate >.>

I must repent and binge watch Xena Warrior Princess.

What's the point of fleeting if ya can't see some ships explode!

My favourite part of BSG was when they sacrificed the Pegasus to get away. Fleet battle mastery!
