So which ship/ships jumped into Bespin and deployed fighters and such?
I believe you'd want to talk to [member="Asmus Janes"] about that? Or [member="Vilin"]. They'd be the ones to know.

Hey Guys,

I was wondering if I could get some clarification as your posts are incredibly vague as to who you’re engaging. So, in these posts here, you mention that you all mention that you’re attacking Imperial Walkers - but not to whom they belong too. Could you guys tell me if they’re those stationed at Outpost Veers, or if they’re the Walkers under the command of [member="Chron Terix"]?

Also, if it’s the latter, I would ask that you amend your posts to mention that you’re engaging his forces. It’s not good sportsmanship to have someone unaware of their troops being damaged, and having their troops handled without their knowledge. Not to mention, double posting before a counter response is made.

However, if it’s the walker’s at Outpost Veers, please be sure to let me know so that I may alter my post to tie in what’s already written and respond accordingly.

Many thanks in advance, and I’m looking forward to facing off against each and every one of you. :)

Addendum:

As it seems there's a bit of narrative confusion, I'm letting everyone know that Echo Base = Outpost Veers. Just so we're on the same page.

We're tagging all the FO people at/around Outpost Veers who have mentioned engaging Alliance forces, and even those who haven't expressly done so yet.

In regards to 'double posting', our entrance/actions have been acknowledged. As far as I'm aware, a counter response from the opposition warrants a response of our own. Given that Strain claimed the walker kills, I'm guessing they're his. However, calling the hits isn't in our purview, so you'd have to turn to your members as to whose walkers are taking damage, since they have both posted having them in the area.
TK-4261 Strain said:
"We got contact sir! A thousand meters and closing! One ... no two walkers KIA."
As far as the whole Outpost Veers = Echo base thing, IC posts on the FO side do not reflect that:
TK-4261 Strain said:
RTO, get on the Comms and call Echo HQ. Let em know we're gonna need more bodies up here."
TK-4261 Strain said:
This is the last line of defense before Echo Base.
Hope that clears everything up. :)

Usually mentioning what forces you're directly engaging helps determine where damage could be accurately called, but if you're doing a blanket tag then that's fine. I'll do what I can to tidy up the confusion and make things flow with my post. (EDIT: Mess wasn't really appropriate there. My apologies!)

As for the Outpost, even though it was mistakenly listed as a separate location, it's actually a Codex approved Location replacing Echo Base. Please view this link for source and reference.

He'll be getting a PM momentarily to clear up any confusion.

Nevertheless, thanks for your clarification! :)

Hey, saw this quote!

"Don't respond. Mark those shuttles - We'll send them over to the FOSB after we've received confirmation of success at targeted locations."

Which is cool. But just a rather teeny tiny detail, but we are in medium and heavy freighters and not shuttles! We would be happy to relink you the ships we linked earlier in our posts if you like. :)

Could you please annotate it as such?

Unless... you mean different shuttles?

Just wanted to let you know that I'll be working on your post tomorrow, been busy with some IRL stuff that's kept me from making a post for you. Hopefully by the time I post, the others that are with you will have a chance to post as well.

:)

[member="Magnus Ren"]

Thanks! Although now that I'm reading to respond, quick question, but why are you responding in the plural? It was just my ship that said the okay. I can understand signaling me out and saying to mark my ship but not anyone else.

Could you please explain that?

Because logically, all the other civilian ships are still slowly adjusting traffic on a highly busy section around the station. There is no reason to signal anyone out.

Sorry I didn't mention it earlier, but I had just woken up from a nap so must have skimmed it.

"Follow all directives, we don't want them to think there is anything amiss." redirecting traffic and evacuating civilians was a massive undertaking. It couldn't just be done in a few minutes. Not with how much of heavy traffic the station saw on a daily basis. The Alliance may not know exact numbers, but estimates suggest that the population could reach in high thousands for a military presence, perhaps even in the 7,000 mark. Compared to the civilian population that could very well perhaps nearly double that depending on the time of shift. As they had come to hit during the mid-day, the Alliance may not know the exact percentage, but these stations saw typically 19% military presence and 21% civilian.

This quote pulled from this post, sets the tone for the traffic being heavy, or at the very least enough to take time to clear out. Taking into account the flow of ships leaving the multiple hangars, it'd be even more of a mess, no?

Sure, it's traffic control. But they're not making requests, it's quite literally an announcement.'Do or be apprehended' You don't respond to announcements individually. You follow them. Regardless, the tone of the aftermentioned quote sets the system as being high traffic - moreso due to the ships heading out of the multitude of hangars - Thousands of verbal confirmations would be ridiculous to hear and subsequently filter through.

We are not the First Order in Canon, but like them, our narratives have all more or less described the First Order's military officials as being efficient.
tldr
Two systems both on opposite sides of Anoat suddenly turned into battlegrounds, long range communications and traffic centre not attacked by an actual military force - Open target? Random confirmations when the norm is being seen and not heard / doing in silence?

From the submission of the station:
Sector Traffic Control - Another two sections devoted to maintaining sector traffic, with at least half of it devoted to just traffic around the station. This section coordinates heavily with the Starfighter Corps.

It makes sense to confirm announcements because it is done in aircraft control towers to pilots flying in and waiting to land in the airport. It shows that it has been confirmed by and understood by various ships. Which is why several "understood, redirecting into traffic," is a normal procedure, especially when increased alerts status are done. This is seen in several airports with various pilots.

I would disagree that such matters are not verbal -- as is seen in several of the Star Wars movies and in clone wars. To suggest that no one would confirm to the requested detours -- especially under the threat of possibly being detained -- would actually be out of the norm.

These airports don't have thousands of ships flying in and out of them simultaneously. They also don't feature warzones ten minutes away on frequently travelled routes. These airports are also not under an authoritarian fascist state that prides itself on the efficiency of its workforce.

As I said, it is a general announcement - as with the operator of an intercom. They give the announcement, and then turn it off. To which you and your fellows would subsequently be confirming in open channels for literally everyone to hear them - Suspicious.

If it is really an issue, this post here, further describes why they'd be tagged and goes on to mention that other ships would be tagged as well.

If there are further issues, send me a PM.
