[Open] Drinking with the Ravens

As soon as Jace saw the unknown woman walk towards them, he got up and headed over to greet her. "Hello there, miss" Jace said, scaning the woman who just walked into the Casino. "May I have the pleasure of knowing your name?" As he talked to her, he was slowly going throw her mind looking for her intentions, for he did not want to trip any wires, and with his skill, it was the fastest he could go with those limitations.

DD-S1 Designation: S1-000384
Status: Active

The six-foot-five tall DD-S1 security droid patrolled the nightclub. Each footstep was followed by a resounding 'thunk!' that was drowned out by the loud music. Suddenly everyone began raising arms and muttering the same word. His systems quickly accessed its core memory drive, analysing the data for the appropriate word. Cheers, ʃɪəz/; expressing good wishes before drinking. His neck craned to investigate the crowd, there was a drone of audible movement as he did so. His sensory data picked up on the outline of something. Once more the droid delved into its core memory, accessing his software for the appropriate connection. A lightsaber, and he was concealing something else. His ability to access this information took only a matter of 0.00012 seconds, his onboard computing system timed it. He turned to Jan and approached.

Target: Acquired.
Objective: Disarm potential threat.

Approaching the shorter humanoid, S1-000384 was a towering menace. His movements while not erratic, appeared strict and tight. It was far from the fluid movements of any organic creature. He stood before Jan, and with his face right before him, facial recognition was about to track him as a member of the Red Ravens before he spoke. He stood there silent, comprehending this influx of new data. His body turned rigidly and began to march back into the crowd, silent.

A woman came walking towards Sebastion and his party, and as Jace was about to introduce himself Sebastion interrupted him and introduced himself. "Hello miss, my name is Sebastion Wulfsorrow, welcome to the Dragon Palace Casino, and might I say your dress looks simply stunning." Sebastion threw away his rum and grabbed a glass of wine and slicked back his hair to make himself look more regal.

The man sat at the bar nursing a cup of caf. Around him people drank, smoked, and snorted their particular vices. His buy'ce hung at his belt. Long, tapered fingers wrapped around his cup while he watched the crowd. His nails were long and tapped at the ceramic cup while grey eyes skirted the crowd. He had a job here to find. A rat.

He was to make an example of him. Theoden took a drink while calmly watching the man at thee end of the bar. Jonsy was a suave talker and an adept pick pocket. He picked the wrong pocket of the wrong crime lord. Now he was to make sure it never happened again. Of course that was later. Now he was just watching and learning about his target.

A group of people were chatting nearby and the giant mando looked over at them scrutinizing them for threat assessment. He took note and kept them in the corner of his eyes. He never was one to turn his back to a threat. It had held him in good stead for decades. Security had went by and again Theoden glanced over this time tinged with curiosity. This is an interesting place.

No weapons and armor, this wasn't the first time Adenn Gra'tua had been out of his armor around this many other people, but he still felt naked nevertheless, yet another reason for the man to get out of his armor more often. The bounty hunter wasn't in formal wear for the occasion, instead he was wearing a more casual outfit, one that included a old and worn jacket along with other old clothing items, the gauntlets from his armor included, although they were put under the sleeves of Adenn's jacket. The man had been making his way over to [member="Lysle of the Hydian Way"], as he wanted speak to the man so he could properly introduce himself "Hello gentlemen, my name is Adenn Gra'tua, Mandalorian bounty hunter and newly inlisted member of the Red Ravens." Adenn smiled and held out his gloved hand to Lysle, looking over the people around himself for a moment before returning his eyes to the man in front of him.

"If that is how you introduce yourself here, anyways."

Cryax watched all the boys lose their wits at the arrival of a beautiful woman. He smirked watching them fawn all over her. He rolled his eyes. This Chiss wasn't going to inundate her with unwanted advances. He was classier than that, he thought as he reached for a drink and missed, tipping over one of the R5 units and sending a whole tray of drinks crashing to the floor. The R5 whined angrily at him as he helped it clean up the mess, and once he was finished implored him in bleeps and bloops to, once again, slow his roll.

He sighed, used to making a spectacle of himself in front of the female spe...wait a sec. Was that someone he knew? He hadn't recognized her at first because he was trying not to stare, but now he saw that this definitely was a familiar face. He sometimes took on freelance jobs, and the woman standing in front of them was his new client, Anastasia.

I was about to say something to Cryax, but I looked up at the droid who'd almost tried to disarm me. He began walking away,

"Droid, come here. I'd like to ask you something. What's your name?"

I turned back to Cryax, and grinned. The guy was obviously pretty drunk, and I like talking to drunk people, depending on who they are.

"Remind me to show you the speeder I've got parked outside. You'd probably love it."

And then I noticed that he was walking towards the blonde lady... Just like every other guy in the room. Jeez. I shook my head, and walked off towards the sabbac tables. At least that was a place with a mediocum of logic or science to it.

And where were the spiders
There was a lot of information in the galaxy. Marek Starchaser was good at finding that, through Bright Star and other venues, he liked to keep in the know. And with the rise of this new group, these Red Ravens. He took the trip out here on Bright Star dime. Be pretty easy, someone to represent the company, he knew that Ryan was around somewhere too, looking to check the establishment out and do some networking. Marek, he'd do the same, but on his own pace.

Looking around, he made eyes at the people and was idly reaching out in the Force, to find the power players here. Making his way to the bar, he ordered a whiskey on the rocks. This group, they had their interests together. If he could get them to play nice with Bright Star, or at least leave his company alone even if he couldn't broker a deal, that'd be worth it.

But it seemed business was far from the mind of everyone here today.

Sigourney was not typically one for small talk. She also wasn't one to interact personally with her employees. Business was business and you never got too close to business partners. In her line of work, it was almost mandatory to be solitary. She had no family to speak of, her parents had died a long time ago. Her business associate, Lysle Rigger, had been the closest thing she had encountered to a friend in years. She turned to look at The Raven's Co-owner who stood beside her. His face lit by the endlessly flashing and tacky lights the casino possessed. A flicker of light illuminated the ever-present suit worn by Lysle and Sigourney momentarily admired his handsome demeanor. There had been no denying that she had been attracted to her partner at some point, although she wouldn't care to admit that to Lysle. He exuded a cold and distant air about him, caring only for business and lately, business had been booming. The current hike in attendance at the Dragon Palace had been a 'meet-and-greet' of sorts. It was necessary for The Raven's survival that they made more connections and tonight had been organised to ensure just that. They had already been approached by one of their new thugs, [member="Sebastion Wulfsorrow"]. The Zeltron's eyes had followed to scene closely, although she had been largely ignored, as usual. Sigourney had the welcomed talent of blending into the background despite her red skin, white hair and black eyes. She did suppose, however, that in their casino a sight such as hers wasn't rare, nor did it draw attention. They had briefly spoken to the Ravens secretary, [member=''cryax Bane"]. Sigourney had briefly met the secretary beforehand. They had never exchanged any words, though. Sigourney was one to only really converse with her business partner unless necessary. Lysle and Sigourney now stood alone in the room. Sigourney browsed the area, checking that the one thousand strong security were doing their job. The Ravens were not a group to slacken on security, especially for an area as large as the casino. The Zeltron turned the Lysle, "Good turnout, I suppose. I'd like to go meet more of them. It always helps to know who you're hiring." Her thoughts turned towards the upcoming mission.

As Starchaser got his whiskey on the rocks, Selka Ventus appeared, champagne in hand. A little ritzy for this particular casino, but a casino this size attracted money, and Selka's dress, hair, and jewellery made it very, very clear that money was involved. And not on Starchaser's end.

"I know what you're thinking, Marek," she murmured, dark eyes scanning the casino floor.

Chiasa was a fan of parties, be they sophisticated or rough and tumble, as long as no one touched without permission, and she didn't get actually dirty. Metaphorically dirty was fine of course. Add unto that another chance to see and be seen with the upper echelons of the Ravens.. She was there. She was definitely there.

She'd waited a bit before arriving of course, unless you were hosting you did not arrive first. One of the good things about being a Twi'lek who's body was basically a walking piece of art was that wardrobe was fairly simple. The correct answer to 'What should I wear?' was almost always as little as possible.

She wondered briefly if Big Boy would surface, she'd liked him, but he hadn't really seemed the party type. Perhaps he was when off the clock, or perhaps he'd be here helping fill the role of large and hulking. Which mostly seemed to have been taken over by droids, but it was always smart to keep a few organics on hand, and she'd decided that if Lysle was one thing, it was smart.

She sent a smile in the directions of Sebastion, Jace and Jan on principle. She knew them slightly more than she knew other people. Lysle was awarded a more respectful incline of her head, a mini-bow if you would. As usual it looked like he'd been approached for business matters. That was fine. He could just get used to seeing her in the background for now.

"I could use a Pick Me Up."

She commented to one of the serving droids as it passed. With a beep of acknowledgment it headed back to the bar to get her drink. Light and bubbly with a deceptively strong kick. A good start.

He grinned, looking at Ventus as she came over to him. "I really don't think you do." His eyes were going from the casino to and then back from [member="Selka Ventus"]. "Its a nice establishment here. Lots of people having a lot fun. Shall we mingle?" They could discuss the test drive of that ship from the auction some other time, he was sure.

"I hear they're looking to do business, looking to claim some territory. Might be worth getting information on." And reporting back to the powers that be, obviously.

But he could still do work for Bright Star, here. Broker deals, divide the galaxy, pay the royalties.

I waved back at Chiasa, and gestured for her to come join me at the card tables. If I had to guess, she was probably better than either me or Jace. I just hadn't had the chance to see her in action.

I grinned at the thought of seeing the gold-ish Twi'lek sending all the other players home with nothing in their pockets. She would, too. Maybe even with a kiss or a sly wink to confuse and befuddle her opponents. Or a stiletto to the face, depending on their reactions to her winnings.

Whatever would happen, I resolved that I would see her play at least one game. If she lost, that was one less thing she could say she was better than me at. If she won, I had plenty of entertainment to last me the rest of the party.

Business had been good, and Circe was here to enjoy herself once more. For the first time in quite a while, she was drinking a glass of alcohol, which actually was having a degree of mellowing effect on her. It was the first time in any of her lives that she had been drunk. And with a smile, she stepped forward, eying the host of this magnificent party.

"How's it been, Lysle? I haven't seen you since that business deal..."

"No, that's not what you're thinking. Not all of it, anyway," she said quietly, and took a sip of champagne. The bubbles hit her nose, made her flash back to the days when she'd had no nose to speak of, just tusks for miles. "You're thinking you like this place, and you want it, but bigger, with your name on it -- on the Nexus, and on your ships. You're thinking about what you'd copy and what you'd do better."

Walking into the main doors, I was dressed in a finely done Trench Coat. Blue with some gold trim, a black dress shirt, while underneath I wore some hidden leather armor that I had bought from AEL. A Singlet, as well as my Bracers. Seeing as how we were in a very close environment, and I was still learning to trust those who I would be working with, I decided to wear some form of armor to protect myself. As well, for decoration purposes, I had a sword encrusted with gold and gems along the grip, while the blade was a simple Katana weapon. Hanging from the belt I wore, my left hand rested on the grip at it protruded out the opening of my jacket.

I smiled lightly as I had my long hair up a little in a pony tail. Even then, it was still long. Reaching about my mid back. Walking in. Clearly off the bat I could see others who wore way too much, and others who wore way to little. Most however were looking rather fine. Seeing a very fine looking young woman in a black dress, As well as a few other guys in the corner playing card games, a few who looked like the business types, and even one who was at the bar and looked to be either a dancer, or wanted a lot of attention. Despite this, I walked up to the bar, happens to be just a few feet down from the Twi'lek that was wearing little to nothing on her body. and ordered myself a drink.

"Mug of ale, Glass, little froth." I told the bartender as he looked at me. I then slid a credit chip across the counter to him to pay for the drink. it took him only a few seconds to get the beer, and from there, I took a nice hearty sip. Feeling it burn ever so slightly down my throat as it went down. setting the glass back, I began to look around once more. Maybe to see any familiar faces.

Yeah, the fact that Selka had... right he wasn't even going to think about that. Just enjoy the aesthetic right now. "Well, you could say that. I'm all for what they did here, but there's no... no room for secrets? Working on getting something out of the white collars. The workers, they hear things, and that gives you rumors. Thats great an' all... but." He shrugged and waved a hand off.

"If I could get something set up like this, with this crowd, in one of the larger Bright Star locations." Sure, maybe he was all for separating the rich and the poor, but when you had to decide which starship you were using that day, it was one of the better problems in life.

He was going to have to listen to the ambiance, see what he could hear.

"Well, perhaps not this crowd," she murmured with a grin, watching as the comprehensive weapons scanners and very polite front door security forces began attempting to strip [member="Darren Shaw"] of anything remotely resembling armament. "Though I can't fault their taste in hair. That weave is spectacular."

She gave the long-haired Sith Lord one last evaluating glance from afar, then turned away. "Not an insider, not a local. If you're going to try for the help, I'm going to aim for low-ranked Raven -- connections, ambition, nothing spectacular. This dress versus your stubble -- let's see who gets results first."

"Pleasure to meet you, Adenn," Lysle said, shaking his hand firmly. "I must truly apologise, but Sigourney and I here have to talk in private." He nodded and smiled at the Mandalorian. He turned to Sigourney as she began to speak, nodding his head. "You should come out more often. I know you've been sick, but they need you. We need you." He turned to regard Sigourney under the light, a fair woman and he could see why all races thought Zeltrons were the most beautiful of the races. "What is a First-Mate without his Captain, eh?" He looked back into the crowd "Business is good. The Hutts are starting to join us. The Nexus are looking to ditch their business and join us. Everything is falling in place. The credits are making our vaults fat. But you should talk, I know you aren't a big talker, but no one man should have all this power. This power is yours, and yours to do with."

Lysle was a big figure in the Ravens, but nothing more than the puppet belonging to the puppeteer. In front of the stage, he walked and talked, he waved his hands and things were done. But it was Sigourney who held the strings. Elegant twitches of her fingers as she carefully positioned her knights and her castles, ready to declare checkmate on the Black Sun when the time was ripe. Then Circe approached him, diminishing the humble company he had. "Business has been good, I've sent out the orders to your company, and in due time your company did send them." He nodded his head in the direction of a droid, indicating to the fact they were holding Subach firearms.

The Corellian was looking around. That made a bit of sense, get the proper group. “Well, I’m sure there are certain people I can invite, and others… to keep the ones that’ll cause issues out.” Whoever they were, weapons carriers or how awesome their hair was.

“Could probably get some of the Tionese to use their alchemy on hair products…” Marek gave [member="Selka Ventus"] a wink with a bit of a lopsided grin. He’d have to give Rave some ideas.

“So, we’re going to keep track? If I disappear off the floor for a bit, don’t take it personally.” There were a lot of lovely women around, but right, finding the right people. “See what you can find out, lets map the power players here.”
