If it was up to him Ryu would be channeling his anger and shake his wound off as if it were nothing. But the adrenaline from the shock had started to wear off. Eventually, the pain shot through his body and he flinched as the medic bandaged his shoulder. He never felt so ashamed. He was the first apprentice of the Diarch and he fell to a mere blaster bolt. As he was being patched however, he and his unit were in awe as Diarch Reign Diarch Reign unleashed his fury on the gree. His saber like a hot knife through butter as the gree fell before him. Ryu's stormtroopers were in awe of their Diarch's power as they lowered their blasters. In a flash, Diarch Reign had cut his way through, seemingly to Diarch Rellik Diarch Rellik and Rocho Rocho whose presence could be felt through the force. Also chatter from the comms indicating that both insertion teams were close to meeting. All they had to do was make this final push.

With a grunt, Ryu stood up and readied himself to finish this thing. The gree were staggered from the Diarch's offensive, which gave them enough time to piggyback off the momentum and continue the assault. The stormtroopers pushed forward in tight formation laying down fire on the gree as they pushed forward. Ryu struggled as he stood up, the medic staying close to him.

"Sir please! You're going to open the wound. I advise that you hang back before getting proper bacta treatment."

"Silence." Ryu said with venom laced in his voice. "I shall not be held back from achieving my true purpose." The medic knew better than to talk back to a sith and Ryu's pride would not allow him to stay down while they were achieving victory. As he took his saber with his wounded arm, he winced. The adrenaline wore off. But he would not let his doubt stop him. His breath grew heavy and his arm even heavier, but he would not relent. He knew he would not be denied his chance to glory.

With the strength he had left, Ryu would lead his troops to victory as he drew his saber and began his advance. He kept a steadier pace and led his troops to meet with their allies on the lower floors. Ryu channeled whatever anger he had left into the gree that were now faltering as the Diarchy swarmed the facility. His movement was limited as he allowed his stormtroopers to clear the enemy while Ryu supported by deflecting blaster bolts. There were little casualties on the Diarchy's side as they pushed the enemy back. He eventually caught up with his two Diarchs who were preparing to rendezvous with Rocho Rocho and prepare to control the facility. Ryu had approached his Diarchs, posture retained and breath heavy.

"My lords... Forgive my impudence. Allow me to atone by participating in the final push."

It finally happened, after all the waiting, after trying to give those brave men and women trying to get their hands on the gree technology the time they needed to escape the Oracle; the three Szayel Cruisers slowly started to take position. As they did so, the Oracle seemed to roar to life, as soon as the HASS drop pods shot into space, the large star destroyer began to use its remaining weaponry in a last bit of trying to resist what was about to come its way.

"Confirm safety Commander Laphisto Laphisto , Confirm safety Zara Saga Zara Saga ," The Centurion of the Valkan Guards exclaimed through the comms, hoping that they had gotten off of the vessel safely. "All hands, commence Firing on my command. Prime the turbolasers and arm the missile tubes..."

"Stealing an N&Z built vessel and actually improving it...somehow seems a bit of a shame to destroy it," Tertius muttered somewhat out of place. "I do hope they managed to get some of that Gree technology."

"Fire!!" The order was short, without doubt or delay. And then, the three cruisers erupted, their turbolasers firing with ferocity upon the single star destroyer. If the Oracle had been undamaged by the earlier strafing, it would have been able to not just withstand but actually retaliate against this barrage. However, now with the damage it had sustained, the shields collapsed rapidly, its hull started to buckle, plate armor ripping and tearing and internal fires starting to overwhelm and ravage the destroyer's interior.

"Should we not maintain a greater distance...what if we hit the reactor?" Obviously there was some lack of general military knowledge in Tertius, but he did have a point.

"Milord, the main reactor system is shielded seperately and we are not aiming at the location of its emplacement," Livicus' words seemed to reassure the Marquis, who simply hummed a bit and leaned back into his seat. "Launch the GMIM's , burn her down... The Oracle can not be allowed to remain operative, not even as a limping husk."

Missiles began to streak across the distance, burrowing into the already open wounds of the destroyer and bursting into brilliant flares of uncontrolled fire escaping along the rushing oxygen out of the ship. A sudden explosion on the back end of the Oracle rocked it at its core, as its thrusters started to fail and its engines were shutting off. A victory cry could be heard over the comms as the Oracle slowly started to descend towards the planet below, slowly being torn asunder by its own weight and instability coming into contact with Assation's atmosphere.

"All squadrons...haul in those pods, bring our heroes home...The Diarchy can put a notch on their belt for this," turning around, the Centurion nodded towards Tertius. "Milord, I hereby relinquish command back to you."

Zara, her breath ragged, squeezed Jaxon's shoulder. They were near, she could feel it, so close. The escape pods. The Oracle was groaning around them, a wounded beast succumbing to a fatal assault. She'd lost Laphisto Laphisto and Gavin Vel Gavin Vel in the chaos of the sixth subdeck and now it was just her and her two students, weaving and dodging through the crumbling corridors.

"Almost there." she hissed, pushing Anya ahead slightly. Debris rained down around them, sparks flying as blaster fire from unseen enemies whizzed past. The ship was dying, screaming its death throes in twisted metal and flickering lights. She could practically taste the metallic tang of fear in the air.

Suddenly, the corridor buckled, throwing Jaxon off balance. He cried out, grabbing for something to hold onto, but there was nothing except the crumbling wall itself. Zara lunged, catching his arm with surprising strength. "Hold on!" she yelled over the din, hauling him back to his feet. Anya, ever quick-witted, had already been covering their retreat.

"Left! Pod bay alpha-niner!" Anya shouted, pointing down a narrow passage. Zara didn't hesitate. Adrenaline surged through her, pushing her past fatigue and fear. She followed Anya, Jaxon stumbling behind, fueled by their combined urgency.

The pod bay was a scene of near pandemonium. Technicians scrambled to launch escape pods, ignoring the alarms blaring around them. Enemy soldiers, desperate to escape the dying ship, fought amongst themselves. Zara grimaced. This was going to be messy.

"Anya, take the controls! Jaxon, cover us!" Zara barked, her voice sharp and commanding. Anya dove into the nearest escape pod, her fingers flying across the control panel. Jaxon, despite his earlier stumble, planted himself firmly in front of the pod, saber raised, his face set in a mask of grim determination.

Zara scanned the room, her eyes darting from threat to threat. Time was slipping away. She could feel the ship shuddering, listing dangerously. They had to get out now.

"Almost… almost there!" Anya cried, her voice strained with effort. Finally, with a triumphant shout, she announced, "Locked and loaded! Let's go!"

Zara vaulted into the pod, grabbing Jaxon's arm and pulling him in after her. Anya slammed the hatch shut, sealing them inside. The pod lurched, groaning as it disengaged from the bay. Through the viewport, Zara watched as the Oracle was ripped apart by enemy fire. It was a horrifyingly beautiful spectacle, a fiery ballet of destruction.

Then, with a sickening lurch, the pod ejected.

Freefall.

For a few terrifying seconds, they were tumbling through space, completely exposed. But then the pod's emergency thrusters kicked in, stabilizing their trajectory.

Zara took a deep breath, finally allowing herself to feel the rush of relief. They had made it. They were alive.

"Tertius, this is Zara Saga, pod alpha-niner." she said, her voice steady despite the tremor in her hands. "Requesting immediate pick up."

She paused, a small smile playing on her lips.

She leaned back in her seat, letting the gentle hum of the pod's engines lull her into a state of exhausted calm. The Oracle was a burning memory now, a testament to their courage and ingenuity.

A different voice crackled through the comm, warm and reassuring. "Copy that, Archon. Welcome home. Prepare for transport."

Zara closed her eyes, a wave of pure gratitude washing over her. Home. She couldn't wait. She had a lot to report, and a very, very long bath to take.

High Commander of the Lilaste Order
The Oracle trembled violently beneath Laphisto's feet, the ship's structure groaning under the relentless barrage from the Diarchy's fleet. The air was thick with smoke, sparks cascading from ruptured conduits as alarms blared their final warnings. The ship was dying, and it would take anyone still aboard with it.

Tertius's voice came through the comms, crisp despite the chaos. "Confirm safety, Commander Laphisto. Confirm safety, Zara Saga."

Laphisto gritted his teeth, throwing his weight against a half-sealed blast door, forcing it open with sheer brute strength. The corridor ahead stretched toward the subdeck where the escape pods awaited, but it was in ruins—exposed to the vacuum, flickering lights barely illuminating the wreckage. The ship was breaking apart faster than he'd anticipated.

"This is Laphisto," he growled into the comm, his voice strained but controlled. "We're en route to the pods."
As the final stretch came into view, a sudden explosion rocked the corridor, sending debris cascading around them. Laphisto threw out a hand, stabilizing himself against the bulkhead as his squad was momentarily disoriented. A second blast ruptured the walls to their left, exposing the cold void beyond. The force of the decompression sent bodies spiraling, both Gree and Diarchy soldiers alike. "Move! MOVE!" Laphisto barked, urgency sharpening his command.

With renewed determination, they pressed on, closing the final distance to the launch bay. The escape pods were already being prepped, technicians scrambling as klaxons blared a final, desperate warning throughout the Oracle. Laphisto caught sight of Zara's pod jettisoning into the blackness, her transmission cutting through the static. Zara's voice followed soon after, relaying her own escape with Jaxon and Anya. Good. That was one less concern weighing on his mind.

"Tertius, this is Zara Saga, pod alpha-niner."

Reaching one of the last remaining pods, Laphisto turned back to ensure his soldiers had all made it inside. The Lilaste Order's squad was already strapping in,Laphisto followed, sealing the final locks as the ship around them trembled violently. A moment later, the launch thrusters ignited, and the pod detached, hurling them into the vacuum just as the Oracle's hull caved inward from a final devastating explosion. Through the viewport, Laphisto watched as the massive warship, once a formidable force, was reduced to a burning wreck spiraling toward Asation's surface. "All Lilaste order personell have been extracted."There was no need for dramatics. The mission was complete.

Laphisto made his way to the last open pod, stepping inside as the final countdown began. He cast one last glance over the ruined launch bay before securing the hatch. A sharp jolt, and then weightlessness as the pod ejected, rocketing away from the doomed vessel.Through the viewport, he watched the Oracle's final moments. The hull buckled under the unrelenting assault from the Szayel-class cruisers, internal explosions ripping through its spine. Fires erupted in great plumes, consuming entire sections of the ship as it spiraled, helpless, toward Asation's surface.

Laphisto exhaled slowly, leaning back against the cold metal of the escape pod's walls. Another battle finished. Another battlefield left behind. But there would be more. There was always more. As the retrieval beacon blinked, signaling their approach to the fleet, he closed his eyes for just a moment. Soon enough, the war would demand his attention again. For now, he let himself enjoy the brief silence. unless rescue would arrive that is.
