Operation Icebreaker (SO vs. SJO)

"My lord, they have asked us to transmit the telemetry intel that lead us here. What should we do?"

Abyss listened to the words, and his brain already was working on a possible solution. At least the question allowed him a bit of insight about the situation they would drop into once they reached the surface. They were suspicious, but they had not yet determined if they were who they said, or another trick from the sith. That alone was a shield around them, as he didn't expected the jedi to shoot down a potential humanitarian mission. If they would confuse them enough, they might be able to get to the surface without being destroyed on their way down. It had been a good plan, but it was common knowledge that most plans didn't survived the first few minutes of a battle.

"Transmit as much noise as possible, all the useless data that our sensors can collect. If we keep them occupied with working through it, we might have enough time to reach the ground."

With an annoyed sigh he moved his hands to his face, and slowly erased the makeup that had obscured his face. A second later the ridiculous white robe fell down, revealing the black one he had worn below it, and reached for his mask that had been hanging on his belt hidden under the white piece of clothing.

"We go in hot, so drop the act. Scatter when we reach the atmosphere, spread our LZ wide to divert their troops. Try to land roughly ten minutes away from the edges of the capital."

One cue a few officers moved either to the comm terminals or the cockpit of the freighter, transferring the new plan to the pilots of the other ships that traveled besides them

"I want a handful of saboteurs posing as civilians, to spread the drugs. I also want our forces be ready to set an ambush. Hide in the ships, strike when they least expect it."

Again a few officers made calls, the ship was fairly crowded for its size. At the same time several of his men began to hide below the floor, a classic hideout for smugglers and other criminals. Abyss himself simply descended on the ground, crossing his legs to meditate. A second later he was gone, hidden under shadows both visually and in the force. The ships steadily descend towards the planets atmosphere, while the designated saboteurs began to crawl deep into the machinery of their respective ships, ready to leave through the back door once they would touch the surface.

Lynn stood outside as the snow cascaded over her caring her hair in ice. Why she was outside instead of inside with everyone else was simple, she wanted to be better at the Force. Like her father Valiens she was skilled with the lightsaber, but her work with the Force itself was not up to par.

Then again, the ability she was trying to understand was above her, but her Master seemed convinced she could do it. As the snow fell around her she held out both arms and focused deeply on the light side of the Force. She continued to try to blast it out in a power known as Force Light, but like each time before, all she managed was a bright back firing explosion sending her off her feet and skidding for a few yards.

As she laid in the snow, now completely covered in ice she could not help to break into laughter. She wasn't getting the power down, but she was having fun trying. It wasn't until her senses went on high alert that she stopped laughing. Jumping to her feet with two lightsabers shooting out of her sleeves she looked around her. Both sabers came to life with a violet blade and the other an icy blue blade. She looked around her frantically looking for the culprit.

Her eyes widened in horror as she looked to the sky feeling more and more darkness joining the sky. She couldn't see anything, but she knew something was coming. She turned off her sabers and put them back in her sleeves as she broke into a dead sprint heading for the palace.

Busting through the doors with her whole senses on high alert she began searching around the area for [member="Coci Heavenshield"]. Once she found her she rushed to her, " Master Heavenshield, something is wrong, there is a disturbance in the air!"

As the shuttle dodged the incoming fire from the fighters, Tersen could only feel like he was back on the battlefield during the "Cold war" as they called it. It was a reminder of his approach to Belsavis, and how the republic fought to keep control of their prison. His shuttle took a hit from a laser cannon, and smashed into the ground. This would mean Tersen would have to find a new ship to get off the planet. Hopefully his mission to grow in power and find some possible followers for his Sith order would come out of this. He was ready for this, he could hear some of the troopers and defense forces murmuring outside his shuttle as they waited to see what would exit. Tersen would kick open the door, activate his lightsaber and slowly exit his shuttle putting fear into the lowly troopers in his path. He then charged the trooper line, swinging his saber violently, and aggressively. The troopers didn't stand a chance against the Acolyte, the few that survived were lucky only since they ran right from the start. The ones that stood and fought all were killed.

Walking away from the carnage left near his busted shuttle, he started to make his way towards the town he crashed nearby. Maybe someone could be persuaded to give him information as to where he was and some important locations.

He could feel more of it, when the alert had come the sentinels had assembled. Letting the one who were with him move quickly to prepare. He knew the silver shadows or what was left of them might do something but was unsure. He had never really found them interesting when he walked. Motioning with his fingers for the robe clad figures to stand there before he was speaking. "Spread out and search. Anything that is hostile disable or handle." He said it as they stood there for a moment before moving out quickly. The sash over his eyes before brushing back some of the short hair and having a small grin on his face. "Well it could be interesting at least. Or at least break up some of the boredom." The ranger's that were there as they moved in the heavy transports and vehicles. The sounds of it before one of them approached. "Positions secured, Commander Isards regiments will be moving in soon while you engage the main force and we'll arrive at the city after most of the enemy forces Master jedi. Artillery and mortar positions are set up with snipers and teams from the bladesisters who brought their battle droid." He gave a nod of heis head as the feeling and sound overhead of the massive shield carrier setting up to cover and protect the area went. Fighters, interceptors that could work and defend the ship and city were flying overhead.

Aria was uncannily cheerful today. She had reasons aplenty, after all. Today's mission was on the field; her favourite sort. She was standing alongside the Sith Order - she still couldn't quite call herself Sith, but not for lack of trying - and better still, against the Jedi. To top it all off, she was heading into battle with Imperia and Onley, her wonderfully evil best friend and, ah, companion respectively.

Of course, her buoyancy would be certain to take a backseat once she ran into some Jedi; in fact, she was counting on it. The point of today was, after all, to invade a planet of theirs - Aria was unlikely to be of any use without her contempt towards the Silvers to use as fuel. She was yet to run into any Jedi to set off her anger yet, though. Right now, good company added with the imminent battle had her positively gleeful. How absolutely splendid of Imperia to have known to offer Aria a ride.

The flight aboard the Jen Mid'wan had passed in spirited conversation, and Midvinter was looming in what seemed to be just minutes. With a momentary burst of energy, Aria almost sprang to her feet, double-checking her armor and calling her saberstaff to her hand, twirling the hilt lovingly between her fingers. Ooh, they were landing now. How exciting.

Onley spoke, and her grin widened.

"Kark yes, we do. Let's go."

Yes, today would be glorious indeed.

Willa looked at the information being given about it, since the alert had gone out it had provided most of them with a lot of information and this was a good chance as the Rac was flying to allow her to coordinate things. her ranger's were setting up and the main division had been set up, using the aerial infiltration gear so that they would be able to get down to the planet with some of the scout snipers that had been setting up in the mountains. Using the dar'yaim cannons for the range that they could get the far better views. She had been sending one of the massive transports they had to bring the division and their equipment. A large contingent of gnat runners that would be used in the city to help out the locals. Both locals, the massive bears were being helped and given what informmation could be given to better help them and ensure all of them were set up in the large armored transports. Assault and heavy speeders prepared to both test out the newest pieces of equipment the ranger's had in the field along with possibly the fortress as it had been developed and was in the initial phases.

"Commander we have reports from the valkyri forces that have been sitting up, we are moving the Jericho cruisers into position where we can. The walls can work making massive blockades in the mountains and setting up controlled areas for the shield carriers to cover. The dymo cruisers are also moving into a defensive position with the cities and where the Valkyri are direction them. With fighters and soldiers on the ground, we have the Dela and skyfalls on the ground for mobility. Willa was looking at more of it there until she stuck around seeing some of the biot troopers who were being set up to head down with some of the bladesisters in their cerberus units. A way to shoot and smash into the enemy forces that wanted to march on the city. She knew the fleet from Midvinter would have been prepared and working with each other and itself to set their own traps while ships like the Rac or the patrol destroyerss would have being in position. They already had orbital stations around silver jedi space and for defensive purposes should be able to move with them.

"Commander we have reports, other ships are heading down from their fleet and we are moving the interdictors into position to lock the system where we need it. Staging ships will be set up and the triage ship will be there in case it is needed to coordinate with our ships and the medics on the ground. Despite everything we know magical meteors could appear and we will do our best to handle the problems. The remade Saotome Watts class is there prepared to provide long range coverage and they can smack heavy ordinance into enemy ships. We also have thanks to Damorian in our ships a large grouping of MK.II Carracks to give fast support in everything we need with their heavy cannons." willa looked at him while she finished getting her equipment securing the helmet and the hood of her jericho armor, her weapons ready on her back as she started walking down the hallway to see the others as the Rac was heading into the atmosphere with a distraction of swift class starfighters that could get their speed and cannons in towards the transports bringing others down onto the ground. THe contradiction of a jedi master stood there feeling that warmth and fire that was everything vahla to want to see the heretics purged but she was letting self control win out as she moved forward from the ship.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For many months the Sith had been planning this assault, and for many months the Silver Jedi had been monitoring them. The Sith Order situated on the borders of Silver Protected Space hiding in pockets throughout the Stygian Caldera had not gone unnoticed. If they thought the Silver Jedi had not been watching, they were seriously underestimating them as monitoring stations throughout their space had been on high alert and probing well beyond Silver Jedi borders. Although it was not known initially were was to be their target, they had learned it would be Midvinter in time for them to prepare. Coci and [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] had been on Midvinter for the past week and had not just sat around idle. Apparently, the Sith Order is here to 'make a statement', well... the Silver Jedi will make one back.

The skies are clear and the air crisp but that can change in the blink of an eye, Midvinter weather never predictable, she has learned that much from many years of coming here. It is an unforgiving place is Midvinter to those that do not respect her. Coci stood on the upper ramparts on the Western Wall by the high gate, her head turned as she looked over the vast plain that spread out from the main gate, for the moment it is all clear, the Sith would been for miles coming across this plain if they dare to cross it. Then her attention went to the large fine forest on the western side, many adventures her son had had in that place exploring as a child but her head turned to the east, there the mountain ranges reaching high into the skies. Something was drawing her to it, and she searched through the force. It was him, Betrayer. [member="Connor Harrison"], the man now dead to her had brought them here? Her benevolence had left him alive, I should have killed you. The words of her mind picked up on the air and floated where they may.

"Master Heavenshield, the charges have been laid", the captain of the Rangers informed her. "Good, thank you captain". In the background she could hear her brother Thyrian rallying the Valkyri all of which would be no easy beat, they are hardened warriors ancient in their practice from early age, and although many would give their lives for their Midvinter, many would not .. the Sith are out numbered. There are more things in heaven and earth, than are dreamt of in your philosophy*.

The young girl Lynn reached her at this point. "Yes there is a disturbance in the air", and a grin broke across Coci's face. Plans were at the ready and so too was she. "Just stay close". Over Lynn's shoulder she could see Thurion busy with preparations of his own, once more they are atop the wall ready to do battle against a foe foul. "You know, these Sith are really starting to irritate me", she said with her grin growing to a smile as she looked into his face, she was being flippant of course but there is no point in being all morose, there is plenty of that awaiting them in the Sith. "I do love you", she whispered for his ears only.

Aboard the Ruination
Moving into geosynchronous orbit above Midvinter

Soldiers were being funneled into dropships for the battle below while fighters had been scrambled to combat the enemy pilots in the black, all while the Ruination edged closer and closer towards the enemy defenses. The warship was surrounded by a dozen or so other smaller destroyers and frigates, each ship a single component in a wedge that was meant to cut into the enemy positions and drive them apart for the disembarkation of ground troops. Hundreds of weapon emplacements would open fire on targets of opportunity, missiles zooming through the airless darkness to slam into hulls or break apart into a hundred smaller projectiles to eviscerate entire fighter squadrons like tissue paper.

"They've been preparing for our arrival, just as anticipated." The Dark Lord's words were like a thunderclap amidst the cacophony of noise within the loading bay, his form cutting across all fields of vision as he monitored a holographic display of the planet.

"Yes, milord. The stations you ordered us to observe have seen the forces amassing in the Caldera, and the Jedi have hastily mounted a defense just as you said they would." The officer relaying the information was a sporty young fellow, his face relatively free of stress lines or scars of war, and his eyes blazed with vigor and the hunger for battle. In his hands he held a datapad and a stylus, occasionally tapping visual readouts that rolled across the screen to project them onto the three-dimensional sphere.

"And what of our build-up in the Reach? Have the Silvers discovered that?" He uncrossed his hands, letting his left rest on the hilt of his sheathed sword while the right hung limply at his side. The officer's brow scrunched in concentration as his gaze fell to the datapad, and after several minutes of scanning his face lit up with pride. "They discovered nothing, milord."

"So they know not what they truly face, their doom shall be all the more sweeter. Deploy the barges."

Four Beezlebub-class Assault Ships thundered ahead of the main wedge, their weapons stripped away and their hulls modified with extra layers of armor plating. Not only that, but their insides had been gutted with many floors and superflouous components being completely removed in favor of increased space. Their shields were raised and their engines pushed to their limits as they hurled themselves towards the enemy lines, intent on blazing past them towards the planet's atmosphere where they planned to crash down around Tháinbroek. The ships were being piloted only by a skeleton crew, men and women who knew that their only task was to crash the ships onto the planet and let loose their burgeoning cargo.

Graug.

Since their exodus to the Reach alongside their Sith patron, the Graug of Fornow had been allowed to breed exponentially to the point where Fornow had become overcrowded by the scaly marauders. Now the Dark Lord had filled four gutted assault ships to the brim with them, intent on letting them run wild on Midvinter before making landfall himself.

Location: Aboard the Eidolon, Midvinter's Plains, West of Thainbroek
Objective: Find Coci

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tydE1r-IxrY

The Leos that left the bridge of the Eidolon was not the real one, nor was he a clone in the typical sense of the word. In fact, he was a manifestation of the darkside of the Force, crafted in image of its maker. Why? To do the bidding of one who did not enjoy personally being forced into combat. In this case, Leos fought by proxy. And even if the person he faced knew that this wasn't real, it wouldn't change the fact that it was there. In fact, because he was in a secure location, he being the real Leos who was sitting in his cabin on the ship, the only way to affect the apparition would be to come and find him. He counted on it.

But he hadn't created just one. No, when the ship discharged its occupant, there were two of him that stepped out. Each was instructed to go to the nearby city, commanded by Leos himself, to find [member="Coci Heavenshield"]. She, like he, had sensed the presence of [member="Connor Harrison"], but he had chosen to utterly ignore the weakened man and focus his attentions on her. She was there, of that he was certain. It was only a matter of finding her. His illusion copies would do the trick. Fully capable of inflicting wounds even. His own personal contribution to their capabilities that he'd perfected when he'd faced Connor in battle on Mirial. Not perfect, true damage, perhaps, but lasting darkside lament. Might as well have been truly physical.

"Find her," his voice whispered.

One hand grasped hold of a Ritual Knife. The other held an ignited, orange glowing lightsaber with the Dantari crystal active. His preparation to wage a proxy war was all but complete. He should have liked to have had his sphere, but The Lambent Shadow was not yet ready. It was still being completed at Surron. The knife and his saber would do for now. He also wore his armor, had Connor's lightsaber strapped to his hip, and carried the Skull of Mythos in his bag should he need it. Suffice to say, he was fully prepared for what lay ahead of him, and he was formally intent on waging battle against the so-called Jedi of this world. Nearby, his Maalraas waited patiently to be called upon if needed.

Outside of the ship, the Vermillion Guard, his own personal guard, clad in red armor, took up positions to keep the ship secure (note: just fluff establishment, may be ignored). But the key were the two copies of him that moved swiftly across the field approaching the city. They would take fire, and were even capable of tripping mines, but they wouldn't die so long as his concentration remained unbroken. They approached now, heading towards the western gate. Identical in their appearance, a singular goal as Leos saw through their eyes. She was there, close, and they would find her. One of them even appeared to be wearing Connor's saber. Perhaps she would take note, perhaps not. Either way, they closed, and only one person would satisfy their intent.

"Coci Heavenshield!" a voice boomed, echoing from both apparitions. "Come forth! Face us, as it was we who led Harrison to the darkside!"

"It seems too soon," she said quietly, walking through the snow to the man in the red cape and probe droids floating along behind her. She had followed [member="Connor Harrison"]'s beacon, using the stealth ship her master had provided her for the task to slip through the engaging fleets above. When she had informed her master of the Sith Order's pending assault on Midvinter, and Connor's inclusion, her master had given her a simple command: protect the investment. So here she was, on Midvinter, walking through snow to the man who had provided so much information on the Silvers to the Sith.

Garbed in her familiar mask and armor, lightsaber on her belt... and three seemingly innocent red balls tucked into a pouch. Another was in her hand, flying up before being caught by her. If one knew what those little balls could unleash... well her master had said to take drastic actions in her mission.

"She also thinks it is too soon," she continued saying, standing next to the ex-Jedi Master now. "Such a grandiose assault will place them even further on edge, ready to fight. If it fails, and Midvinter and the Heavenshields still stand at the end of the day, the Silver Jedi will only be stronger for it."

Lynn pulled her robe up farther wrapping the robe around her as the cold air hit her. She began helping the Lady Grand Master with the preparations. She had noticed them working on something earlier, but she had not noticed they were preparing for a war. Lynn wished she would have been more prepared, more ready. Her eyes looked up to the sky as the Sith forces began to break orbit. She was learning that in this grand war one was never as prepared as they liked.

It was then her attention was drawn away by some voices calling for Lady Heavenshield. With quick, but smooth movements, she turned to the voice as she drew one of her blasters and aimed it at one of the voice. Lynn's mind began to feel her eyes were playing tricks on her as she saw two of the same people. She believed at first these could be twins, bt something was awful about them, they looked too similar and the signature she was barely sensing seemed even more similar, something was off, but with her limited knowledge she could not tell what it was. She was not rash, she would keep her gun leveled on one of them, not confident to draw her second gun and set them off. She would not fire, Lady Heavenshield would handle these guys and Lynn would help the best she could, but would also not get in the way and weigh down her Master.

Flames and explosions went off all around Dredge as his drop ships were flying down to the surface of Midvinter. Dozens of them filled to the brim with Yuuzhan Vong and Graug pierced the atmosphere headed directly for the one and only city on the planet. Leading the charge was of course none other Dredge himself, in these sorts of situations a leader who said "Charge" was far less effective than the one who bellowed out "Follow me boys." And Dredge was the latter, he was positively giddy about choking the life out of Coci in front of Thurion. He had even been rehearsing lines in the mirror last night before bed. He was that dedicated to his theatrics. Because if you didn't have fun being the bad guy, what was the point?

Regardless of all that, his drop ships managed to pierce the atmosphere and start to head towards the ground. But now that they were in atmosphere they had a few choices to make. They could go directly to the capital and try to deposit as much troops as they could, no doubt the fighters would rip them apart before unloading a few. Or there was Dredge's favorite option, the West Wall. There was an open field between them and the city, and it was a great area to unload the troops. He chose this spot for a particular reason. It was a sniper's god damn delight. He, his men, anyone with them was at risk of having their heads taken off by snipers and gunners. It was motivation for them to fight, either you get to the wall or you die. Simple as that. He also wanted Coci and Thurion to see him coming, he wasn't the type of killer who struck from the shadows. When he wanted someone dead he wanted them to witness him in all his unholy glory.

So when the ships dropped down away from the West Wall, he and his men quickly disembarked and moved through the tree line until the large field stretched between the city and the approaching darkness that was Dredge. When his men gathered around the hundreds of Graug and Vong with him began to pop out of the trees and stood there in silence as snow and winter wrapped around their bodies. With Dredge at the center he looked to his men and spoke in a very calm and collected tone.

"The first ten men to die, I'll have your names. If you fall, I will kill your bloodline. I will reap your children, and I will mount your spouses heads on my wall. I will kill and destroy everything you have known in your life." Nothing to get the blood pumping like the threat of your family being butchered.

With a dead calm washing over the horde, Dredge raised his massive Sith Sword, and pressed it into the air straight towards the city. He'd let out a beast like roar and take the first step towards the city. A chorus of howls and war cries followed behind him as the army he had brought charged forward with him.

It was good to be back.

Harbinger,

Vyrassu tested out his cybernetic arm as he did a million times before since acquiring it. There was no synthflesh over it to give it the appearance of being real, rather, he preferred showcasing the sleek, black cybernetic arm as rolled his right shoulder back, as if to loosen the joints of his arm. Electrostatic fingertips simulated a sense of touch which allowed the data collected by the appendages to be transported along a line of sensory impulses before reaching a junction that brought together both his living flesh and the replacement to his body.

Although he lacked the ability to use the Force with his right arm now, the cybernetic offered additional strength and practically filled the spot of his phrik crushgaunt in his suit of armour.

At this very moment in time, the Sith Order had gathered to strike out at the Silver Jedi Order. Although a High Marshal in the First Order's Army, he was still Sith, and although the call from [member="Darth Prazutis"] had been unexpected, the Epicant-Hybrid came all the same. Even if his most recent duel with that Zeltron hadn't turned out as he had initially pictured it when he had set foot at the Citadel, she had inspired additional ideas for the cybernetic arm, although those changes would come at a later time. Provided he didn't lose this arm as well.

Or anything else for that mattered.

"Could've picked a warmer planet," A'sharad said the moment he spotted Braxus head for him and [member="Braith Achlys"]. Reaching down to a crate, he lifted his helmet off of his head and closed his eyes as the helmet slipped down over his head. When he opened his eyes, he was almost immediately integrated in the Heads up display. He'd have to wait until they actually touched ground to reset the environmental seal, but until then he gave the order to the forces of House Graush to descend to the planet, naturally, in their own ships.

He checked the chronometre in his HUD.

We should be done quick.

Connor didn’t need to turn to know who had come behind him. The one so efficient and quiet in her actions that it was no wonder he previously had never identified her as a threat. The masked Sith stood by him as an ally, and that itself was empowering.

"I know," he said coldy.

From down to the city, the battle cries of the Valkyri echoed up around the mountains and shook their very bones. It was almost primeval, something the Heavenshields held in high-regard – a primitive clan fusing old and new. If anything, he knew the Sith would underestimate them.

"The Valkyri employ all manners of battle tactics. Long and short range weapons. Booby traps. They use the environment. Even beasts. If the Sith run headlong into this, they’ll be cut down. "

He opened a side compartment on his belt and took his com and held it to his mouth to be heard over the biting breeze.

"This is Connor to any Sith forces in the immediate area of Tháinbroek. The Valkyri forces have waged their battle cry. Thurion Heavenshield will be leading them. Take him out and the rest will fall. But beware your surroundings – the forests, the lakes, the beats around you. They use their world as a weapon, not just their blades.”

He killed the signal and spoke back to Eldaah.

"I’m just trying to prove I’m here for good, not just a bored ex-Jedi with no hope for a future. This IS my future. I know this world. I have been in the city and castle itself. They trusted me as family once.”

Taking a step forward, as if zoning in on the castle in the distance, he narrowed his eyes. Coci was here. "I told you I will watch you burn. You and your family. I will not stop until your family falls and you are dead.”

Speaking across the winds in the Force, he hoped she would at least feel him. She wanted him to know he was here break as much of the Silver Jedi as possible. Connor turned to the Sith.

"We must move.”

MIDVINTER
IN ORBIT

The Star Destroyer that served as the flagship of Darth Pyrrhus dropped out of hyperspace with the rest. It was not without support, as not only was the Zambrano fleet present, but he had brought what ships of his own that he could spare. The Silver Jedi had been alerted to their approach, and their fleet would not be able to catch the enemy off-guard. It was of little concern to the Togruta Sith. He would leave their affairs in space in the capable hands of his admiral, while he himself went down to the planet's surface.

Although it was not a faction he had had much to do with, this would not be the first time he clashed with the Jedi of the Silver Order. He had been there when Ziost fell. He had sent scores of Acolytes to pester their lands as their very own training exercise. In other, more subtle ways, he had been involved with operations both within and surrounding their territories. Now, however, it was time for something a little more direct. It was time for Tháinbroek to taste the power of the Dark Side, and perhaps even lay waste to the temple of the Jedi, should one be present on the planet.

Darth Pyrrhus had left the bridge behind, and made for the transports. Flanked and protected by their fighters and corvettes, the Crown Legion would embark upon their vessels and make for the wintery planet's surface. For an operation such as this it felt appropriate to bring his division. The Sith Lord's transport was smaller, but faster, and only hosted himself and the Epirus Guard. While they would follow him into battle, they would mostly be for show and intimidation while he did most of the legwork. His other forces, however, would be capable of making gains independently of their Dark Lord. They had proved themselves time and time again. Whatever the Valkyri mounted in defense, they would topple. It felt as if the Sith were coming at them with overwhelming force, against a planet which stood cold and alone in the galaxy.

Fully adorned in his freshly forged battle armour, the Togruta Lord prepared for war in his meditations. Around his arm and shoulder coiled an old friend who also prepared himself for battle. He felt almost like the last remnant of a lost age, the snake representing the last of the Vong's legacy, at least as far as Pyrrhus was concerned. Aside from that he was only equipped with his lightsabers and the Force. As a Sith, that was all he required.

The space above them exploded into a torrent of torpedos and starship fire. He left that arena in the capable hands of his people. Meanwhile the transports descended at a pace towards the planet, joining up with the rest of the Sith forces. It was time to teach the people of Midvinter a lesson. Conflict came for everyone, even the men and women frozen at the corner-edge of the galaxy.

Midvinter had been on high alert for days, having received word of a Sith force coming their way. The city of Tháinbroek was the only site where the Sith could deal any real damage, so it was safe to assume that's where they would attack. This city had stood since the dawn of time itself, long before most species had taken their first breath. But as he stood upon the ramparts, overlooking the plains and forests surrounding the city, Thurion knew the Sith did not target Midvinter out of some grudge they had with its people or for its strategic value.

They came here because of him and his family; a fact not taken lightly by the Grandmaster of the Silver Jedi, and as the Valkyri warrior reported sights of iron longboats descending from the sky Thurion heard little of what he said. His own thoughts drowned out the voice of his brother giving his speech, the clanking of steel meets steel as the great army roared their lust for battle, and he ended up raising a hand to dismiss the warrior beside him.

He couldn't put his finger on it, but there was an air of finality about all this. Whatever the result of this crucial battle for Midvinter's survival, Thurion knew his time had come; this was to be his last battle as Grandmaster. Long had he and his wife sought to relinquish their duties to the Order, passing over its leadership to someone younger and more eager. Perhaps, even, more deserving of the title.

But as he busied himself pondering of what the future holds, one voice broke through to him. He turned to face Coci after she declared her love for him, whispering her words in his ear, and he raised a gloved hand to settle upon her cheek. "And I love you, hjarta mitt," he spoke as a smile found his lips. He found himself taking in her every feature, every nook and cranny of her face before leaning in for the deepest of kisses. Just as he did, their enemies revealed themselves. Vong, Graug, and seemingly every other monstrosity imaginable had taken the field, about to commence their assault. "So it begins..."

"Exiting Hyperspace! Brace yourself, Alexis, we're jumping into a warzone!"

The MX-2 exited Hyperspace just behind the engaging fleets, and Vixley started sending the public transmissions and broadcasts to the local ships and stations. "This is Vixley, of Trauma Ward. I am part of ApeX, hired by the Sith to assist in this engagement. Sending clearance codes to all Sith affiliated vessels... This is also Vixley CM-01, neutral to all warfare, I am Emergency Services. Silver Jedi and Sith, please, do not fire. I repeat, do not fire. I'm heading to the planet." Vixley turned the IFF Transponder on after the public broadcast to anyone that could pick up on it. Although, the transmitter was quite old, it may not have the same reach as it was intended to. More than likely, Comm Officers and Scouts would pick up on the transmission and probably be the only ones to answer... especially to a signal translated as civilian. But if the Clearance Codes were approved, and the Silver Jedi recognized him from his HoloNet messages, all would be fine. ...Right?

Alexis was someone new, who just joined the cause of Trauma Ward. Not very skilled at all, but had a preference for becoming a nurse and helping out. It meant credits, and doing something good, with very little experience. So, she thought, it was an easy job.

"Vixley!" Alexis yelled, holding onto the doorway as they exited hyperspace at a frightening speed, and immediately heading into the crosshairs of the engaging fleets. "What the feth are you doing!? Those are called turbolasers! You're flying right between them!" Vixley reached up to shut down the Thranix Cannon completely and reserve power for the shields, "I know," pulling this lever down and shifting power. "The war has already started, if we go around, more people will die." Alexis clambered her way to a cockpit seat and strapped in, "Vixley, how sure are you that we won't be fired upon?? I mean, they're Sith for Force's sake!" Vixley began his maneuvering tactics, bobbing and weaving through the initial set of fighters that whizzed by them. "I don't. But we'll survive, even if they fire on us, we'll crash land. At the last moment, I'll shut down life support and transfer power to the Inertial Dampeners."

"Vixley, you're a droid, how is any of this passing your logical algorithms??!"
"They aren't."
"Now stay strapped in, we haven't been cleared yet by the fleets, but we're diving in anyway. Keep quiet for a moment...." Vixley opened the public transmitter once more. It wasn't closed or turned off, all he did was stop broadcasting himself. He would still pick up anyone speaking if he stopped broadcasting. "This is Vixley Combat Medic, Number Zero-One. Clearance codes transmitting... I do not have clearance codes for Silver Jedi friendlies. I will be landing near the main city, please give me access to medical comms so I can better help where you've taken the most losses. This is to Sith and Silver Jedi." Vixley had just made it to the epicenter of the clash of fighters and larger vessels, clipping a few fighters along the way, but not engaging anything. Weapons still shutdown and shields increased. "Fire upon us if you are ordered or don't trust this message, but our primary objective is saving lives."

"Fire if you have to?! What did I get myself into!?"

Coming closer and closer towards the main gates, I could see that they were closing. The guards trying to get everybody that was outside of the city, inside and protected from the attackers. However, I could hear a strange sound. One of wings flapping. Drawing my hammer to my side, I looked up to see that the being was garbed in robes, and clothing. The creature shivered as it landed on the snow. Suddenly speaking to me and warning me that it was the Sith who were attacking. I shook my head with a growl that could rival any who stood on Midvinter.

Why did the Sith have to come here? Why did they have to attack us? Why couldn't they leave me alone. My son was gone because of the Dark Side. My wife had once been in a league with them. Now they come once more. It was always me who stood between those who I cared for, and the darkness that resided within every being that came closer to the planet. Slowly I could feel the darkness creeping up on us like weeds to choke the root of a plant.

"Find their positions, and report back. If you have trouble, don't fight it. You are out only for a scouting mission."

Walking through the snow as it made the battle kama around my waist wet, I walked through the gates and began to make my way towards the center citadel. It was there I knew I could find the Heavenshields. Their strength and resolve to hold this city long before I came here would be very much needed against the Sith. Reaching out the best I could, I tried to find them through the force. Reaching out, I could feel the soft yet firm warm feeling that only a mother, and a woman could give.

"Coci, Thurion, I am here for your aid."

Rushing towards the guard I saw first who wasn't bothered with people, or gear, I grabbed his shoulder and twisted him around. His harsh face changed as soon as he saw my helmet. Before I could even ask him, he pointed to his left behind him.

"All are being brought underground, or to be held up in the inner most housing."
"All I needed."

Rushing after the various people who were headed in that direction, I started to usher people towards the underground tunnel systems, or to move towards the center of the city. Where they would be in the best hands possible. It was then I could feel the all too familiar feeling of a friend nearby. However, he was weaker than I last remember. And much, much darker this time. I snarled. Knowing full well what must have happened. I shook my head as I grasped the faceplate of my helmet in my gauntleted hand.

"Why is it all the people I trust and care for always fall?"

I could only give him one chance to redeem himself to me. One shot to prove that he wasn't who I thought he was. I threw my thoughts towards my once ally, and comrade, Yelling at him through the force. Wanting to beat his face in for even coming close to falling. Added to the fact, of how close he had gotten to taking part of my life away. Taking my love away from me.

"You better have a good reason for this Connor."

Sorel was no warrior. Not in the sense that most considered. In her eyes, a militant Jedi was an oxymoron. She was a peacekeeper, pure and simple. But sometimes keeping the peace equated to standing up to the strong to defend the weak. And sometimes that involved fighting.

She was no hypocrite. She would always look to end an encounter peacefully – but if the opportunity did not present itself? She would do what was necessary. Any Jedi should.

And as she approached the gate, she sensed Jedi – but more importantly she recognised a familiar aura. There was something about the Master-Padawan relationship that made a bond. Sorel would recognise Lynn’s presence anywhere – even in a crowded Academy. And she didn’t have to look for it, it was innate.

Fortunately, she was wearing the bracelet her own Master had given her. It meant she did not feel the cold in the slightest. So she strode to where her Padawan was with her cloak flapping in the icy breeze and noticed a change in the Force. Something was wrong, so Sorel broke into a run.

He could sense some others who had come to join the party while standing there, with a look on his face before heading around. "Report." he said it so that they could give the information. He could feel the defensive works going itno place and there was even the sense of some familiar people he knew while standing there. "The jericho class cruisers are taking up positions around the city, interlocking and having the ranger's with the army set up at the chokepoints. Aside from teleporting they would have to go in to meet them as over the city the shield carrier is taking position and providing a planetary shield to the valkyri to eliminate the risks. Their martial forces are preparing with the rangers, clones, matukai and groups that came from The Twilight Sepulcher and your shadows are moving into positions with sentinel back up. Ranger teams have taken positions along the ridges and armored divisions have moved into positions easily enough. They would have to teleport to bypass the defenses." The ranger's were moving in some cases so that they would be able to get a lot more influence, setting up some of the better areas of weapons and equipment. The ranger's were getting everything set up where they could handle vong, graug and he knew the ranger's like willa were here prepared with things such as their blades to cleave the strongest things in the galaxy.

He was impressed with them but since they had managed to get their hands on those massive invasion carriers transporting divisions or several of them from world to world was a lot easier. The sentinels and shadows that were with him moved as some of the miraluka who were here and wearing the circlets for the weather as well as their force amulets. "Good, send the message to [member="Coci Heavenshield"] and [member="Thurion Heavenshield"]. Make sure they know what has been happening and where the defenses are being set up around the exterior fo the city. We have those shield ships and walls for a purpose and this is it. To stonewall and provide far better protection while forces fully gather behind them." He was given a nod as the messages were being sent out and he knew the fleet itself would be able to handle ships getting to the planet. The AI's that worked with the jedi were pretty good at it and their defense of the system would attack ships heading towards the planet. He could sense the different things coming when one of the massive barreled chested forms came near him. "Do you believe this will work?" The large bear was curious and he spoke. "Yes, it might not look at impressive. We are usually on the defensive and lack the power to defy universal law and get our way but we at least make it a better showing."

There was a small laugh while they were walking and the jedi master crouched down touching the snow before he let a few thoughts come out for getting a few of the other jedi here like [member="Jericho"] and [member="Rasu Gan"]. Or some of their other masters that could show up in terms like Ayumi with the fleet or Saki, Tricia, Sheila, Matsu. "You think it is funny, the large laugh from the beorni though as he placed a paw on the jedi masters back. with them having the chance to look out. "Yes and because I have learned a few things about you, the mind always working and remembering. What forces will they bring do you think?" He had to think about that for the span of a few second. "Undead, not like the vinterbound but these are darkside undead. It is the general go to for massacring tens of thousands with the pretext of stopping the oppression, the graug as well and vong while vicious they have lost the power of intimidation now that they are just there and common place. One or two fallen jedi who want to destroy everything, angst and whatever soldiers they can who are unquestionably loyal but able to easily make the loyalty of anyone their encounter falter and years even decades of support and friendship or help will be thrown away. Or as some of our members in the order call it tuesday.." That got another laugh from them while he was reaching out with the force and relaxed his muscles preparing for the fight.
