When she went on about not having a mother, he just waved a hand over his shoulder.
"Life's rough in the big city, kid," he called after her. "You, spoiled core brat, should know that well enough."
He rounded a bend and went out of her sight, but he didn't stop and lay a trap for her. No, he just kept on walking. She wasn't worth his time. If she wasn't going to fight back then he wasn't going to get any enjoyment out of killing her, so what was the point of spending the time on it? Besides, he was pretty sure, given the proximity of the explosion that he'd just heard, that it was time for them to move on from the capital complex. This meant he needed to hook up with the others, not spend time dealing with someone's spoiled child that had wandered into the sewers. The Sith were pathetic if they allowed this to continue. From what he'd heard, Sith were fearsome in battle. That's what he'd been looking for. Instead, he'd gotten a crier. Woe is him.
As he walked he continued to keep his senses attuned to his surroundings. He was not about to let her get the jump on him just because he could no longer see her. Besides, there were other Sith about and he needed to be wary of them now that she'd gone and gotten loud about it all. Undoubtedly someone would come looking for the source of the disturbance, and then they'd be looking for him. He wouldn't mind a good fight, but he didn't want to get skewered before he could have it.
