Public Operation: SHATTERPOINT

Final Dawn Central Command

EMPRESS TETA , DEEP CORE
Within the Cinnegar Prison Complex...

For two days , the Politorate had been monitoring the situation on Empress Teta. When news of the Riots first broke out , Director-Admiral Dorian Sevenar was quick to deploy dozens of
Politorate Infiltrators throughout the Planet moving in to infiltrate the Planet's Local Law Enforcement and various Facilities such as the Prison which held the Imprisoned Officers (Codenamed Alpha , Beta and Gamma) targeted by the Politorate. Using the Chaos and confusion to their advantage they had properly embedded themselves within Empress Teta , perhaps even faster then expected , but now the Politorate was ready to strike and Secure their Targets.

Within a near-empty Cantina near the Auditorium , a
Politorate Agent was seemingly enjoying a small meal awaiting confirmation of Dinvar Korr's Strike. As instructed by the Director-Admiral , the Politorate would need confirmation that the Adjudicators struck first in order to make their own strike and cause further confusion for the Tetan Authorities. Soon enough , a series of explosions could be heard coming from the direction of the Auditorium causing the Cantina's remaining attendants to go outside to see what happened. But this Agent already knew what happened and quickly took out a comlink to inform his peers. "This is Agent R to all Units , begin Operation Thunderstroke."

In the Prison Complex , a trio of Infiltrators disguised as Prison Guards headed towards one of the Complex's Security Room having received Agent R's Message. Armed with
NK01 Fujita Rail Pistols they barged into the Security Room and quickly eliminated the two Guards within it locking the doors behind them and quickly taking control of the Complex's Security Systems. The Leader of the trio then took out his comlink and contacted the Phantom , the Politorate Operative in charge of successfully retrieving Target's Alpha , Beta and Gamma. "Phantom. We have secured control of the Prison's Security Systems. Releasing all prisoners now". Within seconds , the locked doors of every prison cell within the Complex suddenly opened up releasing all the inmates within the Prison triggering a prison riot that could potentially spread throughout the entire prison. Phase one of Operation Thunderstroke was complete , now it was time to execute Phase Two...

The need for a calming presence often arrives too late, and when the news of riots forming from protests, calmer minds were overwhelmed by emotions. Seto hardly found himself out of his depth, but even as he continued to speak to dozens of worried civilians, the accumulation of their fears appeared like an ever growing pile of flash paper. A single match to lit ablaze the base desire for survival. Almost as if his thoughts were more attuned to the Force than his conscious mind, Seto flinched and quickly covered the civilian in front of him with one his arms.

A half a second later the auditorium rocked with explosions and debri began to fall overhead. The security team assigned to protect the Senator scrambled into action but it was clear that they had little idea what was happening, only that there was a deliberate attack upon the citizens of Empress Teta and the Senator. With the majority of the larger debri seemingly not landing upon any citizen, the Security Team soon heard the Senator barking orders for them to organize and get all the civilians out of the crumbling building.

Seto for his part struggled to keep the civilian he was holding from completely falling over and trying to keep the person moving. They needed to move, and move quickly before either more attacks transpired or something worse; The idea of the building collapsing upon their heads spurred the young Du Couteau to move faster and encourage the civilians around him to move and follow.

Dust filled the air but Seto kept pushing for everyone to keep moving, periodically stopping to double check the seats. Making sure there wasn’t anyone trying to hide beneath them, a pair of guards moved closer but Seto waved them off and barked “Keep getting everyone else out of here.” His voice was tense and rigid. A sharpness that the Senator had once believed he would never need again.

The ultimate weakness of anyone with power was realizing how little one could affect the reality in front of them. A hubris that grows from certainty, fed by greed and fueled by one’s own strength in belief and conviction. Seto never felt more unbelievably inadequate as he watched the explosions bring debris upon the people he had sworn to protect and guide to a better future. Not even if he had used his Force abilities could he had changed the course of events.

Seto moved quickly again, urging every other civilian to move quickly, the young Du Couteau heir needed to leave and call for more security.

Antin had done his job exactly to the letter. Dinvar Korr watched as the top of the auditorium began to crumble and burst into a fireball, all as planned. It was now time for stage 2, acquisition. Extracting the senator would be no easy feat, the reports he was handed indicated Du Couteau was trained in the force. Dinvar would need to approach cautiously and keep up the chaos, anything to cloud the target's mind.

He waved over one of the guards helping to extract people and began barking orders. "Get the senator's airspeeder over, we need to extract her now!" the young security officer looked to Dinvar and quickly nodded, letting out a "Y-yes sir." before going for his comms. If dinvar could guess younger and younger officers were being drafted in to help bring the world back under control. Good news for him. Korr quickly turned to see the senator helping to herd people out of the crumbling auditorium. Korr quickly shifted his way through the fleeing civilians to reach Du Couteau. So far he had kept the charade up, he couldn't let it out now.

"Senator!" he called out. "Senator we need to extract you now. Your airspeeder is enroute!" he said, playing the part of a concerned security officer. As he moved in he knew above the auditorium Cpl. Antin observed with macrobinoculars, ready for the next stage of the operation. All had gone to plan so far.

AND I THOUGHT MY JOKES WERE BAD
Dagon gave the reporter an appraising look - without the trench coat and a bandana on, she fit in with the rowdy masses of Teta. The only exception was the sharp curiosity drawn across her eyes, much like his own. A curt nod her way and he took point into the eye of the storm. Using a route that would bring them into it from a side alley rather than from the lines of the gendarmerie, because that would be kind of stupid, no?

Sweat and tears, product of the anti-riot gas employed to break the wildest of rioting, dripped over the faces of the rioters. Molotov cocktails hurled in unison crashed with loud cracks and the fire spread from the hearts of the crowd into the Special Investigations and Tactics Squads reinforcing the local police forces. Looking for any source of the chaos was as difficult as trying to find a needle in a haystack. Scanning the area wildly made Dagon's head spin, no trail, no lead was in sight. Not even the Force could help him. But Arthur could.

"Master Kaze, it seems that the Senator has made an appearance at the Public Auditorium."

The Jedi fixated his attention on the domed structure standing out from the surrounding buildings up ahead.

"Now?!"

"Now, Sir."

"Has he lost his mind?!" exclaimed Dagon as a solid assumption on the reason of the riots began to form in his head.

Distraction.

As if to prove his dreadful theory, a loud explosion erupted from the Public Auditorium sending slabs of stone and durasteel in the sky. Smoke and dust billowed from its spire and Dagon felt his guts twist in a knot. Briefly recalling his only 'meeting' with Senator Seto Du Couteau Seto Du Couteau during the conference on laborers on Roxuli, the Jedi had certainly expected less rash action from the crafty politician. Du Couteau had to disappoint him, didn't he?

Feth it all.

Dagon removed the bandanna from over his face and threw to the ground, "Arthur, alert SITS, hell, alert all Alliance elements on Teta to focus on the Senator."

"Sir, the riots--"

"It's a sham-- whatever's really up is going down at the Auditorium. Right now!" he snarled.

"Understood, Sir. Alerting the Alliance right away." replied the A.I and quickly dispatched a communique of Dagon's suspicions over Alliance frequencies, notably Haenn Meeriel Haenn Meeriel , Tevra Nezaine, Myk Venture Myk Venture and possibly even Sora Mohc Sora Mohc .

The Jedi Knight's head turned to the reporter, "You want a story, Miss?" he asked, then sarcastically tapped his chin as if mulling over it, "How about - 5 reasons why NOT to campaign during a riot. Disable your ad-block to read the full story."

Dagon's lightsaber hilt materialized in his hand not with the intent to use the blade but as a deterrent to anyone who tried to act smart and get in their way to the Auditorium and the Senator.

"We need to hurry but don't freak out." he told the reporter, then called the Force to envelop them both enhancing their speed. None of them would be the flash but it'd certainly help them sprint faster than the average, "Make sure your shoelaces are tight and just.. run after me."

And with that, the Jedi Knight dashed towards the auditorium, hopefully followed by the reporter.

Time was running out.

He could feel it. In the air, in the people and in the Force.

“I’m nobody, if you’ll excuse me I need medical attention. I don’t have any credits to give.”

Tevra was pinged by her suit to the words as they were spoken, and she moved quietly towards the speaker. She observed for a moment and then moved forward towards Sora Mohc Sora Mohc . Just as she got into sight, though, she received a priority ping on the Alliance net.

://PRIORITY ALERT: All Operational Alliance Assets. Senator Seto Du Couteau Seto Du Couteau is on planet and in danger. The Senator is a Priority Aleph target, redirect for support and extraction.

"Feth..." She didn't have confirmation that the person she was looking at was the missing agent, making contact would possibly be delicate and time-consuming. She drew back instead of moving any further forward, using her suit and a little bit of her ability with the Force to leap up to the roof she had dropped from.

"SITS, we all got that alert. I am rerouting from my independent mission and converging on the priority Aleph asset." She announced over their secure channel as she landed on the roof and took off at a loping run over the rooftops towards the Auditorium. Chance had her closer than she would have thought. She could see people moving around as smoke filled the air around the auditorium. She flipped her comms to the Alliance all-hands channel. "Who has eyes on target?"

There was an explosion, and then there was a lot of yelling from her companion. The riot, a sham? Something happening at the Auditorium? The senator in trouble?

By the time Kaze started to speak to her, Marion was caught somewhere between ecstasy and high alert, the grin on her face conveniently hidden by the bandana. It seemed she had just walked into one hell of a story.

A dust and debris-filled wind ruffled her long hair as she responded to his quipping, excitement audible in her tone despite the sarcasm in her words. “I take it we’re headed for the explosion? Fantastic. I was hoping I’d be blown to smithereens tonight.” Then, almost joyously she added, “By the way, my name is Marion Muir!

The chaos in the streets reached a new height as people who were content to riot, but not so content to stick around following what seemed to be a bombing, abruptly fled the scene… although a few still stopped to loot along the way. To top it all off, at the forefront of this pandemonium tableau was Kaze, now holding a lightsaber, because why the feth not?

You’re a Jedi? This just keeps getting better!

She spared a glance down at her feet, then looked up to see Kaze running like a deadbeat dad trying to escape his child support payments… on steroids. Shrugging, she took off after him, surprised and delighted when she was able to keep up with his frantic pace.

SOMEWHERE IN THE DEEP CORE
On Board a
Surveillance Ship ...

A few light-years away from Empress Teta , a Surveillance Ship [Q-4] drifted slowly in space one of 32 Ships utilized by the
Politorate for long-distance intelligence gathering. While Dorian Sevenar's Flotilla remained on stand-by in Mozos , the Politorate has positioned half a dozen of Quandary-Class Surveillance Ships within the vicinity of Emperess Teta as a means to keep tabs on nearby Alliance activity.

"Sir , we just intercepted something." a Bridge Officer said. "What do we have , Lieutenant?" a
Familiar voice said in response."Our Surveillance Ships have detected a transmission from Emperess Teta , seems to be a priority alert from Local Alliance Authorities" the Officer replied before showing his superior a transmission.

://PRIORITY ALERT: All Operational Alliance Assets. Senator @Seto Du Couteau is on planet and in danger. The Senator is a Priority Aleph target, redirect for support and extraction.

"Contact the Adjudicators and Politorate Command. Keep them informed of every single development. We need to remain one step ahead of the Alliance if we are going to pull this out. So keep your eyes peeled for any new development"

EMPERESS TETA , DEEP CORE
Within the
Cinnagar Prison Complex...

"Phantom. We have secured control of the Prison's Security Systems. Releasing all prisoners now"

Inside a nearby building across the prison , Phantom and her Raptor Commandos remained on standby waiting for the signal. Now it was time to execute Phase 2 of Operation Thunderstroke.

"Alright , that's our cue. Activate your cloaking devices and utilize your Ascension Cables to access the Prison Complex." Phantom ordered to her men before taking out a commlink and contacting her superiors "Politorate Command , this is Phantom , Raptor Squad is moving in to retrieve Targets Alpha , Beta and Omega"

Raptor Squad then proceeded to fire their Ascension Cables towards the Prison Walls using their weapons as a means to zip-line downwards towards the Prison Complex proceeding to make their entry at the Complex's Landing Platform. Already a Prison-Wide Riot had broken out with additional Infiltrators (Disguised as Prison Guards) having secured the Targets and now the Raptors had arrived to meet up with the Infiltrators and the Targets.

Phase 2 of Operation Thunderstroke was well underway and with the Raptor Squad having inserted themselves in the Prison Complex while the Adjudicators had begun the process of kidnapping Senator Seto Du Couteau Seto Du Couteau . If everything went as planned , then they would could secure both of their objectives and provide the Final Dawn with further advantage.

"The past is a puzzle, like a broken mirror. As you piece it together, you cut yourself, your image keeps shifting. And you change with it. It could destroy you, drive you mad. It could set you free."
Detective Mykas Venture Memlogs, 867 ABY

"So. Any ideas, inspector?"

"One or two, kid. One or two."

Myk chuckled without any mirth. He swaggered over to one of the detained suspects and whispered a few words in their ear. Receiving spit in the face for his genial approach, the two exchanged curses and he punched the restrained detainee in their mid section. It took three of Haenn's CorSec troopers to pull him away from featuring on all the local holofeeds in a police brutality scandal.

"Never mind about that, kid. We've got an empty suit to save."

Detective Venture waved a comlink in the Master Sergeant's face. He tossed Haenn an activation fob.

"You drive," Myk offered like he was doing Haenn a favor, "I need to catch up on some datawork."

Despite all the klaxons, within moments of boarding a nearby police speeder Venture's hat was tipped down over his face as if to block out Cinnagar's many lights while he slept.

"Your perps for the explosives are a death cult. I'll tell you all about it on the way."

Through the screams, yells and dust Seto continued to push for more of the escaping civilians to keep moving. The situation grew even more chaotic as the police force that awaited them outside of the auditorium were being overwhelmed by the sheer amount of desperation. From emergency support troops attempting to grab more civilians from the building. As one of the Senator’s guards asked Seto to get into an incoming speeder Seto shook his head, he kept moving along and herding more civilians outside.

“Use any and all speeders to help the injured and call for reinforcements from any nearby police precincts.” Seto ordered, moving outside and clearing out of all the dust. Brushing it off from his shirt Seto turned and quickly moved towards one of the Officers. He wasn't going to out and run, besides the public perception of turning tail as civilians were seen being lost and injured, something wasn't adding up.

“I need you to call in and demand assistance from any and all nearby police precincts. You can use the Senator’s authority.” Seto ordered the still stunned Officer who simply nodded before running off to find his comm device. If this had been a simple rioter attempting to cause as much mayhem as possible, either Seto needed to clean out his security team of incompetence or someone else with much more political power felt the need to add more fuel to the fire. In both situations Seto was no pleased with the idea of dissenters within his security.

Seto pulled his miniature data-slate out from his pocket and quickly started to scan through several files and reports flooding in. While he hadn’t envisioned such a catastrophe for his speaking engagement today, he figured he could still make use of it. Several Noble houses were acting rather unusual, and the young Du Couteau heir had felt a more personal touch was needed to bring them in line. He couldn’t simply just let the large Noble families take care of their own anymore, if Seto wanted to keep the peace between the Noble political bloc and the Industrial Bloc things needed to change.

Gesturing towards one of his guards, he motioned and asked for the guard’s commlink before beginning to make calls back to his office.

“Therasa? Call for the Tekaden. Tell them I said that things need some shaking up.” Seto quickly spoke as he looked around the blown auditorium and hundreds of civilians attempting to make sense of it all. With more police and emergency forces being deployed he hoped things would begin to move smoothly and that the riots have finally reached their zenith.

First came a distant explosion, a loud roar piecing the air and crashing into his ears. Next came the rapid beeping of his comm-link, and the audible transmission. The priority alert stopped him in his tracks, Haenn now petrified as he knelt over bloodied rubble. First, the revolts had dragged him into near-unbearable violence. The explosives hidden in nearby stores. The casualties. And now-

"SITS, we all got that alert. I am rerouting from my independent mission and converging on the priority Aleph asset."

"Copy, Lieutenant." The master sergeant seemed to blurt out as soon as Tevra's message came to a close.

. . .

"--Get the-"

Two LEOs quickly tore a battered prisoner from Detective Venture's melee, while another officer taking a position to usher the inspector away.

"Send him to the medics, will you?" Haenn now stormed forward, a piercing glare aimed directly at Myk, "There's a karking Senator in danger. And we're facing off against a crowd of rioters who have planted explosives! What in the worlds were you thinking?! Did you have to antagonize these people further? What if the press gets their hands on this?! Detective School teach you when to use force or not!? We have-"

"Never mind about that, kid. We've got an empty suit to save."

The inspector instead threw a fob his way, now approaching a parked police speeder.

"Captain, Hold down the fort! And check some of the other buildings for explosives!" Haenn provided little time for Welbryne's response, however, and jammed the activation key into its slot in the vehicle's dashboard.

"So. Death cults! Care to explain!?" The master sergeant tried his best to dispel his annoyance, simultaneously and distressingly trying to keep his eyes on the road.

The speeder veered to the right, throwing itself down the only open route in a half-blockaded intersection, sirens ablaze with fury. The wind, meanwhile, lapped at the sides of the vehicle, rushing to join a wake of dust alongside. On a better day, Haenn would be laughing and cheering with delight. But he didn't have such a luxury at that moment, and on that mission. No. He left his enthusiasm aboard the Stellar Aurora.

"E.T.A-- Five minutes. Prep your sidearm," They rounded another corner, now flinging clouds of dust into battered walls. The smoke seemed to grow closer, though the source was still hidden by the massive silhouettes of nearby buildings.

"Two minutes..."

The streets were ablaze in riots and zealotry, Tetan officials had overextended themselves with a played hand of blunt force that could not withstand the power of the people. Anger, rage, fear, and confusion swept across the city of Cinnagar like a tornado. As the planetary government tried to tip the balance of power in their favor once more, calling in the Alliance to do so, they failed to see what lurked just beneath the surface.

Holographic images sputtered to life in random corners of the city, images of hooded zealots and once friendly neighbors with veiled faces. There was chanting, graphic imagery, and savage drums playing in the background in some dark war chant, a battle cry from a less civilized age.

"My people. Tetans and Core Worlders, at last our time has come. Freedom is upon us, a new dawn is coming."

The High Priest, Cult Leader, or Head Psycho called out to the masses through the Holonet connection. They would not have long before the Alliance managed to cut the feed.

"The Dark Three demand a sacrifice, War... Death.. Rebirth! Only by repenting to Mother Rebirth by accepting Death can we be made whole, take a life and gift it to the Avatar of War brethren. The Dark Side, the Hidden Maw is freedom. War, Death, Rebirth!"

The inconsequential words of the madman were drowned out in sudden chanting, echoing words of 'War', 'Death, and 'Rebirth' over and over before the feed cut itself. Almost on cue, a noxious gas spilled out from the sewers below into the air near the Auditorium. Mass clouds of yellow toxins, enough to fill two city blocks and counting.

Those caught in it's grasp were reduced to fits of coughing, gagging, and crying. Within minutes they curled themselves up, beginning to sweat profusely with comforting arms wrapped around each other in fear. They began to whisper..

"War... Death... Rebirth.."

The Senator was more stubborn than Dinvarr had anticipated. Her commitment to her people was admirable but it got in his way. Holding his commlink device he opened up first to Antin who was still above. "Antin, which districts is rioting still out of control." at first there was silence before the man's voice was heard. "Sir, Core district and Hyperspace Navigator's guildhouse are out of Tetan control." Dinvarr nodded before changing frequency to Tetan Security command. "We need support to the Auditorium now from all nearby precincts. Senator's authority. Bypass the Core district and Navigator's guildhouse." he said. That would at least buy him more time before the place swarmed with security and he'd lose all chance at accessing the senator.

Things were calming down which was bad. He needed to keep the flow of chaos up. He sent a transmission to Antin. "Need another bomb droid to the building across from you." The Cpl quickly replied. "Sir we're down to our reserves. We only have 2 left." Dinvarr quickly replied. "I don't care. Get another bomb to that building now." he said before turning off his commlink. Dinvarr needed to convince the Senator she was the target of the bombs and that as long as she was here she was endangering her people. He'd wait though, until after the next bomb went off. He looked up and watched the probe droid zip across the sky crashing straight into the building across from the tower Antin was, and explode in an inferno, not as big as the initial but still raining debris on those directly below the building. Dinvarr would need to act now. He was starting to run low on equipment and supplies.
