THE BASE ASSAULT
They died, in droves. They had received radio silence from the few platoons sent out to attack the other bases, but they presumed little of it. Now, they were caught off guard. Kaiden did not answer the soldier's question, he would see who took charge in that instance. His boots ran along the ground, as he made his way up the hill, Havoc squad following him, towards the Vehicle depot. Enemy mercenaries and crooks, were not used to this level of intense resistance. He dragged his feet along the ground, sliding on his heels, as he blasted a few soldiers. He was moving between buildings, as the enemy soldiers were put down by rifle fire, and vibro-axes. He turned and clotheslined a running trooper, and then smashed his face inwards with the stock of his rifle. He continued to fire, making his way further to the vehicle depot.
However, the mercenaries, were not incompetent. After all, they had occupied a military base. Suddenly, walkers came springing out from the Vehicle depot, and were going to wreak havoc on the tower that [member="Miles Varden"] had occupied. Their explosives expert, seemed to be otherwise preoccupied, so Havoc squad would have to be very creative when it came to a solution. The walkers, on some models, had exposed canopies that were driven by a soldier, but had plenty of firepower. There were a few, that had a canopy, and were heavily armored. One even had a shield around it, a blue hued protective barrier. Kaiden grimaced, but was knocked back by an explosion. Heavy weapons-wielding troops came from the barracks, and started to suppress the rest of Havoc squad.
"TAKE THE GOD DAMN WALKERS OUT!"
He growled, and returned fire, knocking one heavy trooper dead with a well-placed center mass shot.
SNIPER TEAM
A low chuckle escaped the lips of the sniper team's leader behind his helmet as he watched the sniper fall from her position. He moved his rifle upwards to his cheek, and waited for another one to pop their heads out... Meanwhile, his infared goggles blipped, scanning the area, a small flash of red. It was too quick to pinpoint, but if the other snipers could hold out and make him shoot again, they could definitely pinpoint the target quite easily.
Maybe the sniper team- wasn't all that they cracked up to be. Or maybe, they were fighting some of the best.
