Lui sighed, attempting to speak before @Ra'a'mah had the chance to reply to whatever apparent nonsense [member="Rell Kapae"] was spurting. "I'm Lui, I flew the ship. This is Rell, he's my passenger... Ignore him, he was probably dropped at birth; leading to a mild outbursts of psychosis now and then." he joked. This was payback from being stuck in a tiny two-seated ship with him for upwards of two days.

"Thank you for offering shelter, I'm not usually the type to rely on people but I don't thing we have much of an option." His eyes looked somewhat annoyed for a second "I've got three hundred credits for the trouble, it's not much, but it's all I have right now." Yet his charming smile returned as he approached the woman, extending his hand in greeting.

After making sure the two of them could walk on their own, Ra turned and started to head back to the castle. Turning her head slightly as Rell spoke so he would know she was listening, he asked if she had special abilities and how she could even look into his mind.

"I can use the Force."

Lowering her hand to hilt at her belt, she pointed at it, "this is a lightsaber. Usually only people that can use the Force have them. Now as for reading your mind, I can use the Force...or there are other methods. Don't like using them though as they actually hurt. If you allow me to scan your mind like I want, you won't even know it happened. We can talk about that inside though."

When Lui broke his silence and mentioned to ignore Rell, she couldn't help but chuckle a little at his humor. Looking at him, that humor would show in her eyes. These guys may have caught her offguard, but she didn't sense they meant any harm. Besides, stuck alone in her castle, it'll be nice to have company for a while at least. He offered her the few credits he had in an effort to repay her for keeping a roof over their heads and repairing his ship.

"Good to know your names. I think you need those credits far more than I do, Lui."

Having the feeling these two under her roof was going to be a challenge, she sent a quick message to Vincent to have some food prepared for the three of them. It didn't take long to make it to the castle.

"Welcome to my home, Bast Castle."

The doors opened for them and she lead them in. Allowing them to brush or dust off their clothing if they wanted to, Ra lead them into the kitchen where some food was set out.

"Help yourself. When you're done eating, I'll show you around and introduce you to the others that are here."

Rell was a bit surprised with this whole new world. Lightsabers, mind powers, countless other new concepts, how could these be? The only thing he could exhibit is healing. Is that a good thing? Is it bad? Anyways, Rell was a bit mad at Lui for the comments, but didn't care too much. He had been through worse heckling, and this was merely playful. Rell enjoyed the walk, examining the dark looming structure before them.

Rell was surprised with the generosity of Ra. Taking in two complete strangers, refusing there credits and fixing their ship. Usually deals like this come with a catch. He was also very happy when Ra mentioned food. Rell was extremely hungry, having only eaten small portions of jerky for weeks. "Welcome to my home, Bast Castle." Ra said, as the trio entered the castle. Ra offered for them to clean and groom themselves, but Rell declined. She then walked them up to what looked like a fancy dining room, filled with food. Rell immediately sat down and started digging in. When Rell finished, he stood up and indicated his readiness to accompany Ra.

Lui had tucked the credits back into a pocket in his cargo pants. Bast castle was stunning to him, he was captivated by it's grandeur. By the looks of it, @Ra'a'mah really didn't need his credits.

The offer of a hot meal was more than alluring to Lui, he mainly lived of bar grub. Bits of bread. Cheap fried foods and instant meals, devoid of most good nutrition. He couldn't help but wonder how the woman came to posses all of this. Over the meal, he'd ask her "So Ra. You live in a castle. You use 'the force'. You carry lightsaber... Who are you? What are you? A Jedi? I've heard stories about them, even saw one before, took off the head of some mugger that attacked him with his fancy red light sword." Of course he was making the common misconception that all Sith are Jedi. "Never heard or seen much of your mystical 'force' though. Always wondered if it was a legend. Or a myth. Like a story that parents tell their kids." He was so naive, so new to the galaxy as many-a-folk were on the Outer Rim.

Rell was surprising quite after Ra spoke and on their walk back to the castle. He ate like he was starving or hadn't seen a good meal in a long time, but when he finished he indicated he was ready for her to look into his mind. She held up a hand to indicate she knew he was done, but for him to have patience. Not everybody ate at the same pace and her food was only about half gone.

Lui was also quiet on the walk back, but it might have been his way of assimilating what he heard and format in his mind what he wanted to say. That is how it appeared when he broke his silence as they ate.

"The question of who I am, I already told you my name. Everybody calls me Ra so it keeps that simple. What am I? Now that is where it gets complicated. I am a businesswoman first and am head of the Merchant Fleet within the Metal Lords. You met either a Sith or Dark Jedi when you say you saw a red blade. No Jedi is likely to have one of them since it is the use of the dark side that causes their crystals to turn red."

It didn't fully answer his question, but it would hopefully be enough for now. To reveal this early she was the follower of the Sith Code might cause more harm than good. While she was a very unconventional one, there was no way either of these two boys would tell she was one...yet.

"Ah yes, I remember the days when Jedi, Sith and Force were but a myth to me."

Her gold eyes looked between the two of them. She already knew Rell could use the Force just from what he said about his healing ability.

"Tell me, Lui. Are you especially good at anything?"

[member="Lui Karns"] [member="Rell Kapae"]

As everybody walked together, the three indulged in healthy conversation. Rell didn't understand much of the stuff about the force, the difference between Jedi and Sith. Wonder why Ra doesn't have a red lightsaber. It didn't seem pertinent, so Rell kept the question to himself. Rell was amazed at the dark Beauty of the castle. The castle and planet felt like the exact opposite of Naboo, which gave his a strange sense of freedom.

Rell listened still, and heard Ra's question. "Tell me Lui, are you especially good at anything?" The question seemed a bit chilling for some reason. I had never even stopped to think if Lui had powers too. I never even thought to ask. It's obvious that he is a good pilot, but could that skill somehow be tied to the force?

[member="Ra'a'mah"]
[member="Lui Karns"]

Lui grinned slightly. "I'm a pilot." He mixed the truth with lies, fabricated to make him seem more trustworthy, more normal. "I used on my parent's cargo freighter. Helping to load and unload whatever we were shipping. It was them who taught me to how fly, how to calculate hyperspace jumps, how to fix a hyperdrive and where to get the cheapest fuel. About a year ago they ran into a mishap, accidentally damaged some expensive cargo and they had to sell the freighter to cover for losses. Now they consider themselves retired, and in that ugly metal son of a Hutt you shot down, I've been running a taxi service ever since. Rell is one of my passengers." Obviously he didn't admit that he was good at lying too.

In reality, Lui's parents were in some imperial prison. They weren't freighters, they were spice runners, and he grew up in the trade. He left out that fact that he ran away from the orphanage that he was dumped in at eleven years of age, and that he'd stolen every credit he had possessed in the last five years out of the pocket of a wealthier man than him, that he'd been in gangs, that he'd bludgeoned people to a bloody and bruised mess because he didn't like something they did, or that he too had been beaten to within an inch of his life because of something stupid that he'd said.

The fact Rell picked up on the alignment of Ra would have surprised her if she had known. Not having kept it hidden though, maybe it shouldn't have been that surprising. Not having mentioned she was sith yet though, she would have wondered how he figured it out. He kept quite though, so she didn't know and didn't ask.

When she asked Lui if he had showed any special skills or displayed something beyond what might be considered normal, she did pick up on the fact it gave Rell a chilled feeling. That was thanks to the pin she wore on her cloak. It helped her be more empathic and pick up on the emotions of others. She could also tell when somebody lied to her.

The story Lui told her was a mix and she gave him a rather flat look. It might have held a touch of displeasure, but she had once been their age and knew how to lie. She had to give him credit, he was good, but not perfect.

"I see. You remind me of myself when I was just a few years older than you. Keep you secrets for now."

[member="Lui Karns"] [member="Rell Kapae"]

Rell was fascinated by the castle, but he also had many questions. Why is Ra here, how is Ra here, and what does she even do here?
Rell intended to know, because he was genuinely interested, and maybe information like this can help him figure out what he's doing with his life. Rell was still young, so he figured that he still has much time to decide. It was nearly impossible to tell Ra's age. From Rell's perception, it looked as if Ra could be from 20 to 60. He could usually read people like a book, but he just assumed Ra had some force power that allowed her to seem inconspicuous or hard to read.

Ra told Lui and Rell that they could keep their secrets. "I don't have many secrets. I've been travelling my whole life. I was born and raised in a small village on Naboo. I never met my father, but my mother had adopted his last name, Kapae. She was respected among the community, and praised when I was born. Eventually, I grew into a pillar of the community. When I discovered my healing powers, they decided to worship me. I attempted a coup on the local government, and my people were slaughtered. I was disowned by my community, and in the night, a member of the community murdered my mother. I then swore revenge and left the planet. I've made my living by healing people, serving as a hire-able medic, and being a beggar on planets like Coruscant. It's my history, and I'm not proud, but I'll own it. Rell finished up his story. "Now, we can trust each other. At least, I trust both of you now. So Ra, how did you get your abilities? How do you gain abilities?

[member="Ra'a'mah"]
[member="Lui Karns"]

Lui had to think quick at the response that @Ra'a'mah gave. Could she know he was lying, or was she bluffing. He smiled somewhat awkwardly, trying to play it off as if he thought she was trying to be humorous in her own strange little way. This was a bad act. He knew it, and he knew she'd know it. Although he didn't expect [member="Rell Kapae"] to know what was going on. The best he could do was keep his secrets as she had told. But the matter of 'for now' wasn't sure if he wanted to stay long enough for that time to come.

At the talk of Rell's anecdote about trust, Lui had to hold back a smirk. He trusted neither of them, especially not his new host. Alas, his act continued.

As Rell told his own story, she learned that even they had a something in common. Both of these young men and Ra shared characteristics and while she wasn't searching for a connection, it was there anyway.

"My own story is rather confusing."

She directed her attention to Lui as she told them of her more recent history.

"At about the age of seventeen, I ran away from an orphanage I had been staying in on Coruscant. Became more or less a street rat, eventually a man singled me out and took me under his wing. Taught me how to be a businesswoman. Owned a small freighter and we provided transportation for people. One day after completing some business, he was shot and died in front of me. I ran and have been on my own since.
"I hooked up with now dead faction called the Dominion and slowly grew in power within them. Eventually, I got to be the head of Intelligence."

Turning her eyes to look at Rell now, she had sensed his curiosity and while she couldn't read his mind to pick out his specific questions, what she said next should answer some of it.

"That is how I came to have this castle. The former owner, also a Dominion member had disappeared and I was given the castle to carry out my work."

Still looking at him, she went further back in time. To her own childhood.

"I thought I had grown up in that orphanage, but something happened to me and I learned what had happened to me and how I got there.
"My parents were farmers on a small planet. A group came in and wiped out my settlement and home. I was picked up by a man that raised me. He taught me about the Force and guided me. He grew in power on our home and the people didn't like him. When I was seventeen, he was assassinated. My mind must not have been able to face that and blocked out the memory of my childhood. That was when I woke up in that orphanage on Coruscant."

Now this was basic information about Ra. It didn't go into full detail or give any clues as to her alignment or what path she followed. While she was sith, it was held close and not forced on others. It made her unconventional, but it really was she was raised...until the days when her master actually wanted power. Then he had changed and she never wanted to be like him.

Rell liked the story. False stories, partial amnesia, regaining knowledge and overcoming a terrible past. People are always interesting in Rell's eyes. He'd never met a person with a story like this, but many people are boring on the outer rim, or aren't willing to share their stories because they are criminals, runaways or mercenaries, typically hunting each other. Rell has always put people in front of him, and striven to help others, even when no benefits are received on his end. He liked the looks of Ra, and could usually read people. She seemed like a good person. Lui on the other hand seemed a bit sketchy, but seemed like a genuinely good person once you get to know him. That's exactly what Rell intended to do. He's been traveling the Galaxy alone for the last couple of years, and it's boring as all hell. Rell would love a companion, especially one with lots of character, like Lui.

Rell was never keen on events going on in the galaxy. He could sort of feel some large movement within himself boiling over and creating tension. Rell often stayed out of drama, but the despair that he knew millions were undertaking was enough for him to stir himself and ask Ra a question. "Can you feel that? It feels like something huge is happening."

Lui found @Ra'a'mah interesting. Yet it only raised more questions for him. He was unsure if what she said was even true, all this talk of 'blocking out memories' seemed illegitimate to him. Although her story of fleeing from an orphanage seemed rather peculiar to him, as he had done the same, but had not mentioned it. The accumulation of this and her supposedly seeing through his lies made him wonder if she could read his mind, as [member="Rell Kapae"] had formerly blabbered about... He was being paranoid. He still didn't trust Ra, but if she had ran from an orphanage as she said, they'd have something to relate over.

Rell seemed to be panicking at something.

After Ra finished speaking or maybe during her story, Rell had gotten an almost distant look on his face. When he spoke next, his eyes cleared up and she just nodded. Not only could this boy pick up on the alignment of a person, but he was also gifted with a form of Force Sense or Vision. He had the ability to tell the future. Of course, she didn't know about the manifestation of the first skill, but did the second.

Tilting her head a slightly and reaching out with her Force Sense, Ra did indeed pick up on the future motion that was coming. It felt like a tsunami of war was about to hit. Where though she didn't and couldn't tell. Coming back to the present, continued her nod and focused on him.

"Yes, I do. War is coming, Rell Kapae. Not yet though, soon. You can use the Force. Already you use it to heal people. Keep something in mind about this skill. What you feel or see, may not always happen. This one will though."

Lui was silent through this exchange and Ra could pick up on the fact he didn't trust her fully yet. That was fine with her in reality. It indicated he wasn't gullible and probably had a stronger mind than many people. He was still curious about her, but not as obvious about it.

"You didn't really answer my original question, Lui. Other than being a pilot. If your parents taught you like you say they did, then that alone isn't any really special skill. Anybody can learn how to be a pilot."

[member="Lui Karns"] [member="Rell Kapae"]

Lui wasn't sure if the question was her method of weening truths out of her or just friendliness... Perhaps both. Perhaps Neither. Unlike [member="Rell Kapae"], Lui wasn't the best judge of character. He called it caution, but the lady clearly meant no harm. He had no intention of being truthful. "Well here I am, surrounded by Jedi, preaching of wars that haven't happened yet." Again, he made the foolish assumption that all force users were Jedi. "I suppose by your divine standards, I'm not really good at anything am I?" There was a charming sarcasm in his tone of voice.

Rell didn't like the scoundrels tone, especially around this Jedi lady. He thought she may still be dangerous. He felt a looming darkness wherever they went, although it was minuscule compared to that of many others he met and even himself. Rell was curious about the origins of this place, the people within it. She already answered most of what had to be said but he felt like there was more of a story. He decided not to ask as those reasons may have been personal. He wondered many things in quick spans, like he usually did. He was a big philosopher and loved to contemplate. He finally found a question that needed answering. "[member="Ra'a'mah"]
, you have yellow eyes. Are you a near human species?" He also thought of another question, "Also, can you show us our quarters?"

[member="Ra'a'mah"]
[member="Lui Karns"]

"I have no divine standards and I ask you again if there is anything you are better at than you peers."

Not correcting him on the Jedi aspect of things, even if she were to right now, it might do more harm than good. It was possible Lui's enhanced skill was in piloting, but Ra didn't think so.

When Rell asked his question and requested to shown to their rooms, Ra nodded.

"Yes, of course. I'll call Vincent to show you to your rooms. My always thought my eyes were more gold than yellow. As for my race, I honestly don't know the answer to that. I assume human though. My blood is red."

Her answer was an honest one. Even though Ra was sith, she rarely used the Force and when she did, the skills were neutral usually. Being able to avoid using her emotions to fuel her using the Force, she had avoided the corruption of a dark side user.

"I was orphaned when I was a child and have no memory of my parents. The man that raised me was human."
