Ice didn't return a response at first towards the Chiss, glancing back as he waited for the rest of Pestilence to form up - that way Inferno One would know for definite that everyone in here was dead. Or at least those who needed to be dead, such as it was. His lightsaber's blade quietly slipped away back into the hilt as the Initiate placed it back on his belt. This weapon was unfamiliar, in a way. Not because of what it was; but that it was not his. Once he had the materials, he would have his own. This was foreign.

Thoughts had been rushing through his mind since he'd heard of the Hutt's potential location. He doubted only they knew, or at least thought they knew. There would most definitely be Stormtroopers mobilizing across the planet with long range patrols and armoured convoys. Things that would draw attention. "Well, they're cleared. Let's go to Mos Anek, and quickly. Captain 2417, stay with me. Don't link up with other Imperial assets for the time being. Let's not draw more attention than we need, and give the Hutt a running start." It was an odd phrase to use when talking about a giant slug, but the irony wasn't lost on Ice. He knew the createus didn't move fast; Soryk would have help there, and many guards. Conserving ammunition wouldn't be an option for Pestilence.

With a cursory glance at Desmond, he suddenly turned and began walking back towards the cave mouth so the Agent could lead him in the direction of Mos Anek. "Let's move with haste, Inferno One."

Desmond watched as the DeathTroopers went to work. They finished off the surviving rebel commandos with ruthless efficiency. They approached the Chiss and Inquisitor when their job was done and even in the dark he could see the red blood rolling off their black armor. Lucky for them it wouldn’t stain…

The Inquisitor asked Desmond to lead the way and he did just that. Desmond walked to the dropship that delivered the Imperials and unloaded a speeder for himself. He waited a moment for the others to do the same and for what seemed like the millionth time he cursed the heat. He hopped onto his speeder and began to race through the narrow canyon pass. His cowl flapped wildly in the wind and the Chiss struggled to be heard over the howling breeze.

“Moss Anek isn’t far from here. It’s an old town that dates back before the old Republic. Although it has seen better days…” Desmond said into his comms “It’s now a hive for gangsters and thugs. The perfect place for Soryk to attempt to lay low! He’s probably already at the spaceport waiting for his ride, so we will cut him off there,” Desmond finished as he banked around another one of the canyons endless turns.

Call-sign Pestilence Actual
Post Three
Objective: Escort VIP to Mos Anek.

There were no delays to follow out their orders as Pestilence formed up on the Sith, the two squads of 6 formed up in Vee formation as they'd prepared to move out the instant Inferno One and the Sith began to move. They marched without fault, weapons at the ready in the event that contact was established whilst they were mobile. Unsurprisingly, no garbled transmissions were shared between the troopers as they marched; nothing needed to be said after all, they had an objective, a VIP and ROE to follow and that was just how Pestilence preferred to operate. The silence between the black-clad troopers was eerie to say the least, the only sounds being their footsteps and the slight metallic clank of gear occasionally making a connection. Mos Anek was the possible hideout for the HVT. Gangsters, thugs, it didn't matter who they were; they were scum, destined to be crushed under the boot of the Empire.

Even if they were to scarper like rats, there would be no escape from the Empire's galactic gaze. These people were marked for death and Pestilence, alongside their comrades, were to make it so.

"You don't think they'll appreciate my jokes on 'sub-standard' species enslavement?"

Makai was joking, knowing he really would have to keep his mouth shut. No need to get thrown into some Imperial prison and then sent to some mining colony to do twenty years of hard labor. Additionally there could be problems on Miss Arceneau's end. No need to jepordize hundreds of people and their livihood.

Hood came back up over his head, shading his face once more. It was broiling hot out despite it being no where near the middle of the day. Heat didn't bother him. It was the lack of humidity that was an issue for the half-Galan. It was drying. He swore he could feel a scale or two trying to flake its way off his body.

Vengeance.

This is what the Galactic Empire wrought on Soryk the Hutt and his associates all over the region.

Pure, unadulterated vengeance for the deaths of several moffs, the wounding of Grand Moff Graf, and the destruction of the Imperial Citadel. After negotiating with Danger Arceneau, Director Caalgen led the convoy of transports to Soryk's palace in the Dune Sea; releasing a sea of white-armored stormtroopers that charged the heavy defenses of the structure and broke through the massive gateway. During the chaos of this desert battle, a Kyuzo bounty hunter by the name of Amun quietly assassinated Soryk in his throne room, the alien having been paid by the Empire beforehand to act as an ally of the Hutt.

Meanwhile near the beautiful planet of Pii III, a devastating conflict emerged when Vice Admiral Cardan's fleet engaged the amassing Hutt armada. Unprepared for the Imperial Starfleet coming to them, the armada quickly fell to the superior warships in the Empire's arsenal and the skill of their commanders. Acting on the orders of Emperor Kardal, Cardan oversaw the addition of the Pii system to Imperial space, diplomats negotiating the government's place under the Empire's oversight.

Surprisingly, for a military theater that lasted a handful of hours, it was less bloody than the subjugation of Bothawui where entire cities fell while the Rebellion and the newly-reformed Empire wrestled for power over the sector. But as the many heroes of the Empire would soon come to find out, their struggle for a place among the factions of the Galaxy had not ended, as their greatest enemy to this date was discovered weeks latter over a planet in the Mid Rim:

The Silver Jedi Order
