OS Invasion of Telti - Sign-ups!

ATTENTION

if you are participating in the invasion, no matter your rank, and you are not roleplaying or bringing NPCs... amend that.

In other words, bring in troops with you and deploy them. The reason we lost the last invasion was because nobody brought NPCs and they swarmed us. Let's not let that happen again. Bring them. Deploy them. Write them fighting. I personally don't care if it's two sentences or two paragraphs. The more, the better.

Please bring NPCs with you - but don't lose sight of the objective. This is an Invasion with a win criteria based upon PvP interaction only.

For example, the OS could blow up all the factories and it won't make 1% difference to the outcome.

The OS could swarm us with NPCs and it won't make 1% difference to the outcome.

NPCs and defences are just flavour. They add to the story but they are not the story. NPC vs NPC fights will appeal to some but it is PvP that will determine the outcome.

For those that like writing NPCs you can have fun destroying things or fighting other NPCs – but we agreed to make it clear to writers that it is the PvP encounters that will determine the outcome of the Invasion.

And don't forget you're in a manufacturing plant. Scores of NPCs running around in a confined space will be a challenge to write.

But regardless, have fun and stay classy...

:)

Just to say that about this time in an Invasion we tend to get so caught up in the cut and thrust of the fighting that we forget what the objectives were.

Of course this was an 'objective free' Invasion but the one observation I have is around the activity of NPCs.

"Determination of victory will be entirely dependent on PvP interaction and the judging of the fights by the FA's."

NPCs and defences are just flavour. They add to the story but they are not the story. NPCvP will not determine the outcome.

:)

I've got NPCs, but I am mostly just assuming there battle is in the background. I may write up something of Dair witnessing their fighting after his current duel/truel...three way duel? is done, but mostly they are just being counted down as the battle progresses.
