The Devaronian thug's demeanure changed immediately at the arrival of Hilal's armor. And if he was regretting his choice to harass these two young women it turned to downright fear when Hilal barked out in Mandalorian.

"Alright. Alright. I am sorry. Go ahead," the Devaronian quivered. "Just don't hurt me. I didn't want to hurt you. Just havin' a little fun." With that the offender rushed off.

"Wow," Tiaza exclaimed and hugged the arm of Hilal's armor. "If I felt safe before… No one will mess with us now. You're the best Hilal."

She released the arm, hoping the need for the armor was now done. "Just right around the corner and hopefully you will have your part for Overlord."

A smirk formed on Hilal's lips when the Devarionan began to shake at the sight of her armor. "That's right!" the young woman shouted towards the cowardly horned alien. "Piss off and don't come back!" Her Advanced HUD even detected the Devarionan's biological systems starting to fluctuate rapidly mainly down south. How amusing.

Hilal stared down at Tiaza smiling when she held on to her arm. "Of course," she whispered while the Chiss let go of her arm. "I told you Tiaza, I will do everything in my power to keep you safe. Not just as your bodyguard but as your friend."

The armor began to open with a hiss and Hilal hopped out of the suit stretching her arms out. "Damn," she said yawning. "Who knew cursing a guy out in Mando'a could wear you out?"

She gave Tiaza a chuckle while walked by the Chiss' side keeping a lookout for "It's rare for a Mandalorian to speak our language in front of outsiders and we're unwilling to teach the language to them. It was pretty reckless of me to even shout out at that nerf herder in my native tongue but I was just hopped up on anger that I wanted to protect you."

Hilal was doubtful that The Quartermaster The Quartermaster would care but the last thing she wanted was another reason for her people to dismiss her. "Let's just say I told him not so nice things," Hilal giggled. "But you could probably guess that."

“Hey, whatever works for you,” Tiaza said with a smirk on her mouth. The display of the thug tearing off after being threatened by the ‘two pretty little girls’, well Hilal, Tiaza just stood there and watched. It was hilarious to Tiaza, she was barely about to contain her laughter. A part of her thought perhaps Hilal would think it was meant for her so Tiaza didn’t laugh.

“Ok. Now that you’ve showed him who’s boss,” Tiaza continued her praise of Hilal. “And I won’t let anyone know that you slipped into Mando’a. It was effective for sure. I don’t probably want to know what exactly you said. And I bet he didn’t know either.”

Now out of the armor Tiaza took Hilal’s arm again and started to lead the way around the corner where the droid shop should have been. Sure enough, right as soon as they turned they saw the sign for Venka’s Droid Shack. They walked in and were greeted by a slimy looking Rodian and an awful smell. <”What you want? Venka getting set to close. No help you.”> he blurted out immediately in Huttese.

“Come on,” Tiaza pleaded. She knew Huttese well enough to understand, but also knew most of the sleemos who spoke it understood Basic just fine. “We just need one part. The top side vendor was out.”

The Rodian shook his head but relented. <”Fine. Fine. What part. Be quick about it.”>

Tiaza turned to Hilal. “What’s the part called again?”

Hilal was still a bit pissed that she was underestimated once again. This time though, she had the firepower to back up her claims of being a true Mandalorian. One day will take one good look at Hilal and either nod their heads in respect like her friend: Tiaza or will tremble in fear like that Devarorian. Chit, they might even piss in their pants like he did. The young woman took a quick glance at her watch, checking the status of her armor. Green across the board and flying the friendly skies, Hilal didn't want to spend too much time in her armor. It was better to hang out with Tiaza anyway and she does have the element of surprise in case some pervert tried to have their way with them.

"Thanks," Hilal smiled leaning against Tiaza's arm. "I'll be banished if my people find out I spoke our tongue in front of outsiders." She paused. "But I can teach you if you like Tiaza. Just as long as we keep it a secret between the two of us."

She gave Tiaza a wink before allowing her to lean in on her arm. Though Hilal shouldn't speak her native language, that didn't mean her fellow Mandalorians didn't have to know that she was teaching a good friend part of her culture now. After a few minutes, Hilal and Tiaza arrived at the shop where Tiaza asked Hilal what kind of part she needed. "A Power Grid," Hilal said taking out her smouldered Power Grid from her bag and placing it on the table. DVA jumped on to the counter scanning the shop for the parts she needed.

"Specifically, a Corellian Class Power Grid S," She said. "It's pretty common."

DVA successfully found the part Hilal and gave the young woman his Victory Jingle. "Awesome!" Hilal smiled while the Ridorian took the Power Grid and hastily placed it on the counter. <Hurry up! Got family to feed!> He said.

"You're welcome," Hilal frowned slapping some credits down before turning on her heel. "Come let's get out of here Tiaza." She said.

After getting the droid part, Tiaza and Hilal agreed to call it a night. It had been quite eventful for the young Chiss woman. She had completed her current opera house tour, been assigned a bodyguard who quickly became her first friend in a while. She met three droids, two of which still needed some work. Then she travelled to the undercity for parts and was saved by her new friend from a Devaronian thug.

When they returned to Tiaza's room the front desk clerk informed Tiaza that she had been changed and all of her stuff was moved to a new suite. Seems Sap had arranged for the new friends to room together, something Tiaza was quite happy with.

Hilal and Tiaza spent the next couple days getting to know each other better. Sap had finally arranged for proper recordings of Tiaza's new songs to be released before her tour started. And Tiaza also spent time with Hilal working on Overlord and DUM.

They were scheduled to start the tour tomorrow. Everything was packed up. "There is a club around the corner with an open mic night. You feel like going out and having some fun before the tour starts?" Tiaza called out to Hilal.

For the first time since she completed her armor, Hilal felt truly happy. Not because she completed a contract or attained glory for the Mandalorians it was because she had made a friend in Tiaza. Hilal had difficulty in telling whether she was teasing or serious, but she appreciated her kindness and understanding. She was always excited whenever Hilal talked about the inner mechanisms of Droids and Hilal would always dance whenever Tiaza sang a new song. The new Power Grid installed on Overlord worked to perfection and now the Battle Droid was fully operational and was eager to defend Tiaza..... Well maybe a little too eager as Hilal had to tone down his aggression module after he tried to beat up Sap for staring at the Chiss. Hilal would've laughed but considering he is the manager who is paying Hilal, she needed to do a few tweaks.

Still, this was the best contract ever, Tiaza was safe with Hilal and now the two great friends spending the next few days staying up in their Hotel room and laughing about current events and sharing spooky stories or even playing Holo games. Hilal was living the dream of having a good time with a friend. She wouldn't trade this for anything...... The tour was about to begin and Tiaza wanted to attend open night mic. Hilal motioned DVA, Overlord, and DUM to come to her while the young woman smiled. "You're going to humiliate those poor karaoke singers!" Hilal giggled. "Let's go! I'm definitely looking forward to singing slaughter by a professional!" She winked at Tiaza.

Tiaza laughed at how excited Hilal was at the thought of a trained singer going to karaoke in order to shame amateurs who do not claim her talent and haven’t trained said talent. “You know we’re going to have fun. Not crush the good times others will have by my being better than them at singing.” The wink that Hilal gave suggested that she was teasing, but seeing how the Mandalorian girl has had trouble with Tiaza’s teasing she wanted to be sure.

They were both dressed in casual around the room clothing. Tiaza wasn’t sure if Hilal had club-ware and to be honest Tiaza wasn’t going really wanting to go out there and get noticed, as she had other times in the past. The boys she’d met in the past in clubs were good for heartache and that was about it. A good time with Hilal was all Tiaza was looking for ahead of a long trip out to the Mid Rim where Sap thought was a good place for the first headline tour to start.

“So you ok going to the club in these casual clothes?” Tiaza queried Hilal, curious if the bodyguard would think it was weird. “I’m just wanting to sing, listen, maybe dance with you a few times, and maybe have a drink. Not looking to get all fancied up. But if you want I’m up for that too.”

The thought of just having a good time with a friend made Hilal giddy. It was something she dreamed of as a kid wondering the streets. To hang out with a friend and have fun. She felt the urge to smack herself to make sure she wasn't dreaming but here she was with Tiaza about to leave their room to do karaoke. "I'm sure your idea of fun is to crush the competition given how talented you are." Hilal giggled when the Chiss mentioned she was only there to have fun. "This is equivalent of a Wookie going into a fist fight against well..... me."

Hilal broke into laughter after she said that Was this what it felt like? Being a typical Kid from the Core regions? Hilal always thought that those kids were soft and weak. Considering she was often told by her fellow Mandalorians that she had a Core Worlder's body it further cemented her beliefs. Yet Hilal had to admit, she did long for their carefree attitude. To be surrounded by peers and party the night away. "Yeah...." Hilal said snapping out of from her thoughts. "Don't worry, I have my blaster pistol with me and if anything goes wrong I can always call my armor. It'll be flying overhead."

She shrugged. "It might make a mess if it lands," Hilal said. "But Sap said he'll pay for any property damage as long as I'm protecting you."

Hilal broke out into a giggle offering her arm to Tiaza. "Shall we go love?" She smiled she can't wait to start hanging out with her new friend.

Tiaza shared the laughter with Hilal as she imagined her small framed bodyguard going fist to fist with a huge Wookiee. Something told Tiaza that she shouldn’t bet against Hilal, even when out muscled by so much, but a fist fight was probably out of her element. It would be like Tiaza trying to match her voice with some wreckpunk musicians. Tiaza’s voice was definitely better than the noise of wreckpunk, but they would over power her easily and drown her out.

Tiaza was relieved that Hilal was ok to go out in the casual clothing they were currently wearing, and comforted that her bodyguard was prepared for trouble. Though Tiaza hoped against hope that trouble would not find them tonight. She gave a bit of a chuckle when Hilal announced Sap agreed to pay for damage caused to keep Tiaza safe, but she was fairly sure that was NOT a joke. The Muun didn’t like to spend money, but he liked the idea of someone holding back in Tiaza’s protection even less.

When Hilal called Tiaza love she blushed noticeably. It was a quite common term of endearment that didn’t really mean love love, but it still caught Tiaza a bit off guard. “Sure cutie let’s go,” she replied after collecting her thoughts.

Tiaza grabbed hold of Hilal’s hand and pulled her off towards the door. She yelled at DVA to make sure the security protocols were followed, he seemed to be the most dependable droid of the trio. They were quickly out of the hotel suite and into the street. Sure enough around the corner was a mid-level club with a flashing ‘Open Mic Night’ sign at the front entrance.

Upon entry Tiaza took in the club. It wasn’t too big, but there were quite a few people in attendance this night. The music system and acoustics seemed to be above average for a club of this size, but as they entered the Neimoidian on the stage was destroying whatever song they thought they were singing. Tiaza giggled and whispered in Hilal’s ear, “I hope this is the low point of the talent in the club. I’m not sure I want to make them all feel
that bad, but I can’t even fake being this horrible.” Eyes flashed around the club and found an empty booth. “Let’s get a seat. We can laugh at this guy until someone else comes up. I can’t go next.”
