Songbird
The Phantoms Yet Live
Location: Mimban Capital
Objective: Survive, Evacuate Civilian population
Allies: [member="Draco Vereen"]
Enemies: Zed Heads
Songbird grimaced as zed blood splashed onto her goggles, taking a moment to wipe away the offending gore as she pulled her Taserblade out of the creature's skull. This was not going as well as she had hoped. It had been at least ten minutes since she had last run into another living sentient, and the undead were beginning to crowd the streets. The vigilante had been forced to kill more times today than she usually preferred, but even she recognized that it was a matter of self-defense. Kill, or be killed. Besides, how was she supposed to cuff a zombie? She suspected they'd just rip their own bloody hands off.
At any rate, she found herself taking the back alleys. her hands itching to take out her blasters, but her mind reminding her that she had to conserve power packs. Those droids were still around, and she didn't think a knife was going to cut it, with them. Heh. Good one.
She was startled from her inward joke by the sound of a shrill whistle, and her head whipped around to find a man on top of one of the buildings, gesturing for her to climb the nearby building. A grin came over her face. Good. Someone else was actually alive in this Forceforsaken city.
Songbird turned to find a fresh group of zeds headed her way, at least seven. She cursed to herself. They were blocking the way to the fire escape.
Well. She was just going to have to get creative, then.
"Oh, bloody hell!"
She muttered as she began to run towards the zeds, her Taserblade still in hand. The first in the undead conga line raised his hands toward her, his mouth gaping in hunger.
But her booted foot collided with his chest, staggering him into his fellows, halting their progress. Calling upon all of her training and athletic ability, Songbird leaped into the air, her boots landing on the shoulders of the stunned zed, and used him as a platform to launch herself into the air, and over the zeds, landing with a roll. Not stopping to think how insane that just was, she scrambled up the fire escape, and came onto the roof.
From there, she waved at the man across, showing she had made it up.
