Description: The Type P40 blaster pistol is designed for standard use for Hapan Royal Navy personnel as a sidearm. It comes in two versions: The standard, original variant that has limited ammunition capacity per power pack, but is reliable, lightweight, and well-suited for both civilian use and non-combat military personnel and the TP40R Repeater variant, which has a heavier, advanced power pack that increases the ammunition from 50 shots to 75 shots, but is fully automatic and unavailable to non-military personnel. The Repeater variant's cycling system modifications also result in output being slightly weaker per bolt than the standard variant to allow for the accommodation of a higher power pack capacity and also features a laser sight to assist with aiming. Both variants use the same gas canister with the same capacity. The bolts are blue-white in colour.
The Standard variant is on the open market for 400 Hapan Aureii (800 Republic Credits). The Repeater is not for sale on the open market and is most often issued to Hapan combat pilots.
