The simple, aging VCX-100 reverted to realspace just a touch outside the gravitational influence of the planet Gromas. The vessel itself broadcasted only a simple identity as a privately owned vessel with no particular flag of government allegiance. The planetary affiliation associated with the vessel related to where it had been originally purchased, Kuat. The purchase itself had been a considerable amount of time ago, during the One Sith's dominion of the world in fact. The name attached to the vessel belonged to that of the current owner's father, Ashmedai. Known more often these days as Cameron Centurion.

"Your Highness..."

Caid's silver-green eyes raised from the item in his hand briefly, but he did not speak.

"We have arrived in the Gromas System."

Caid's expressionless mask was unflinching as he gave air to a statement. "Gromas. We are sure of this location?"

"Yes, my Prince. Shall we establish contact?"

"No. Diplomacy is neither my purpose nor talent. I'm here merely to evaluate. You may go."

The dark-skinned warrior bowed his head before departing the presence of the Queen's cousin.

Left to his silence once more, Caid returned his attention to the cylindrical device in his hands. A weapon that had long since been contorted, adjusted to the purpose that Caid would make his own. Initially, there was a fire that raged in the pit of his stomach. A fire of vengeance, a promise to visit upon his so-called father the type of manipulative attention he had always shown the younger Centurion. He knew of the arrangements with the Supreme Leader, his manipulations even of his cousin on Endelaan. Over time, Caid learned to push aside his anger. A hatred still existed, yes, but it no longer controlled the young Sith.

Placing the hilt of the weapon on top of the table in front of him, Caid relocated to a spot on the floor. Closing his eyes, he gradually allowed his presence to expand as he pressed his subconscious into the turbulent ether of the Force. In moments, the life-binding entity replaced all of the young Sith's senses as the presence of several others touched his mind.

Everyone Forgets the Tail Flick
Kuraii nodded, the gesture encompassing everything @Kale Maedrin had said. Flicking off the electric torch plunged the pair into an eerie twilight, what little light filtered into the antechamber heavy and filtered through the jungle outside.

The Trianii took the lead. Between the quality of low light vision and the fact that if someone jumped out at them, Kala was no more than a leaf on the wind meant that it wasn't even a discussion which one of them went first. While they had come up the outer stairs, now once more they descended.

She moved slowly, with a hunter's grace, each motion sliding into the next. Her ears swiveled slightly, trying to catch the barest sound from beneath them. But all was quiet. Which was not actually any more comforting- if anything, the lack of any sound from below, given the trail of still slightly tacky blood, was disconcerting.

They reached the bottom of that first flight without mishap. Pausing on the landing, Kuraii's eyes narrowed slightly. The large room spilled out before them, and even with her night sight, she couldn't discern the far end of the room.

"The blood trails off to the left," she murmured, a low rumble as her nostrils flared. "But I can feel a stirring of the air from the right."

As the Force flooded his mind, Caid elected to focus his attention on a particular pooling of strength in the dark side around a location in orbit. Only another handful of moments passed before the young Centurion's eyelids shot skyward, revealing the bright silver-green eyes of his family line. Casually, Caid came to his feet and retrieved his cloak.

After he'd exited his cabin, the dark-skinned Sith made his way to the cockpit. Entering silently, his deep voice broke the symphony of beeps and idle chatter. "We have a destination."

One of the warriors seated behind the controls turned his head to regard Caid. "Understood, Your Highness." He had no reason to ask, the young Prince would make his desire known as he always did.

Caid took two steps forward and narrowed the focus of the holo-display near the back of the cockpit. "Here." Caid indicated an obviously large vessel. "Broadcast our identity as necessary, make a direct approach. If our intentions are requested, state Veritas wishes an audience."

The pilot and co-pilot did not so much as flinch. "As you command."

Turning, Caid retreated from the cockpit to prepare for their approach and, ideally, subsequent arrival on board the Tyrant.

As the bird person began to speak to him Vrak's attention was caught by something in the corner of his eye. HIs lips thinned for a moment, his gaze wandering towards the ensign who seemingly was bounding on two feet. The young woman was clearly nervous about something. The Pureblood waited for a moment more and then put up a stalling hand towards Tai Fa, not wanting the man to feel as though he were being ignored while he spoke.

The Ensign quickly wandered over.

"My Lord, there is a ship, someone named Veritas aboard requesting permission to land."

Vrak frowned for a moment, glancing towards The other Sith Lord before looking back at the Ensign. It seemed that today was a day for meetings. First the Senator from The Dominion, next this...bird person and now this Veritas person. Vrak frowned for a moment and then sighed slightly. "Allow them on board."

He told the ensign.

"Escort them here." Perhaps that would urge this bird person to speak a bit faster. "Please continue."

The Pureblood told his feathered guest.

Caid had just affixed his sleek, featureless black mask over his head. The simple workings of the display inside activated as the young Sith breathed in deeply, feeling momentarily awkward in the device he'd not been accustom to wearing in many months. Two knocks against the open door to his cabin pulled his attention. "Yes," came the somewhat metallic response.

"We've been granted permission to land, Your Highness."

"Very well. When we arrive...all personnel are to remain with the ship."

The warrior standing before Caid stiffened slightly at this but otherwise gave a respectful bow. "As you command."

Once Caid was left to his own devices, he proceeded to exit the room, calling the cylindrical black hilt of his weapon to his hand with the Force. Attaching the device to his left hip, Caid proceeded towards the cargo bay to the tune of light footfalls. It wasn't much more than perhaps fifteen minutes before the Phantom was making its final approach to the Tyrant.

Once the old-design had nestled onto the durasteel deck of the Tyrant, the loading ramp cycled open as hydraulic actuators in the landing struts released a small stream of steam as the weight of the vessel was supported. No sooner had the ramp finished cycling than Caid's cloaked figure stepped onto the deck, face turning to regard an individual that appeared to be waiting for him.

"You are waiting for me?"

Tai cut himself off in the midst of his continued verbal spar.

It was an annoying slight, but the Thirriken had worked with more difficult individuals in the past and as such he contained any resentment that might have occurred. He rationalized it with the realization that the Lord Nashar was incapable of dictating when unexpected guests would suddenly arrive and was simply attempting to guide it all into proper form, annoying, but acceptable in the way of diplomatic courtesy.

Once the runners were send off and the two Sith Lords found themselves relatively alone again, Tai simply inclined his beak before continuing on, but with a revised point.

"Thirriken once ruled.
Stretch of the Gordian Reach.
But not anymore."
"I will not keep you.
Another time we may talk.
Of new alliances."
"The rise of the Thirriken."

Tai did not expect Vrak to truly care or even assist in this matter, but all that the Thirriken wished was that the Remnant Empire would not interfere once the change of government occurred and the Thirrikens took their rightful place within the Gordian Reach and established a new Avian Empire.

In his mind the Pureblood would be fine with this as long as it was fast, clean and in the end the taxes and such would be payed to the Empire.

Kala was small and petite and used this to her advantage as she crouched behind Kuraii and followed her deeper into the temple complex beneath.

There was little of the tiger's grace to be found within her step. She was silent enough, but clumsy as she had to grope at the walls to ensure she didn't fall face first and broke her neck. The lights in the distance were flickering and it was difficult to keep yourself balanced when you weren't sure where your feet were being placed. Luckily enough the steps themselves were all whole, almost as if someone had renovated them only a short while ago.

Eventually Kuraii halted in her tracks and Kala walked right into her.

The Trianii was like a wall and she was a little pebble, no purchase or momentum capable of throwing it down. Once more Maedrin thanked the Force that Kuraii was her friend, for surely she would have snuffed her out as easily as a fly if they had ever found themselves enemies.

"Someone lying in wait?" A cornered animal, wounded and waiting for the perfect moment to strike in surprise, where the wounds would be of less disadvantage. "Pretend we are not aware and keep moving, to catch them off guard?"

In this Kala would allow Kuraii to make the decision as she whispered.

She was the only one who had the experience and strength to pull this off after all.

He inclined his head towards the strange Bird Man. "I suggest you come to Athiss."

The invitation was not one given lightly. The world was now Vrak's main stronghold. Most of his species had actually moved off the planet, returning to their various ancestral homeworlds of Ziost, Thule, or Korriban. Thus he was now in control. It suited him of course, Athiss was valuable in its own way. Not much more than dirt and rock, but it had the factories and the facilities that Vrak required for his work. Inviting Tai Fa there was a show of good faith.

"We can discuss more there." He bowed his head and then gestured towards one of the Ensigns. "Now if you'll excuse me."

Veritas meanwhile would himself answered with a short nod of the head.

"Yes, this way, please."

The Ensign that greeted the man would simply wave his hand and beckon him forward. From there the trip to the bridge would hbe a quick one, filled with two Turbo-lifts and the passing of a few Sith Soldiers who were scrambling to get to the planet below.

Caid offered no reaction to the young officer beckoning him forward other than to follow. Unlike a great many of his former peers and militaristic individuals from his past, Caid held no real emotional response to any perceived, justified or not, slights against some contrived notion of superiority. In his experience - those that were truly deserving of respect never had to go out of their way to make such a desire known. Threats and posturing only displayed the size of one's ego. The enactment of punishment without explanation, however, was generally more effective if it truly manifested for purpose. Besides - the young officer knew Caid not at all, and the cloaked Sith carried no standing with the Resurgent Empire anyways.

As Caid traversed the corridors of the Tyrant, his head turned left and right slightly to give a silent appraisal of the many soldiers and crewmembers he passed. The atmosphere aboard capital vessels was certainly not foreign to Caid, and he did note there tended to be very little difference whether he was the Supreme Commander of the Republic or a Knight of Ren. Within a matter of moments, Caid was escorted on to the bridge. The breathing through his mask was steady and, for the most part, inaudible as he approached one of the individuals whom's presence radiated strongest through the Force.

Eventually the staff team arrives at the newly established facility.

Along with them is the necessary equipment and supplies to support its growth and mining, to survey the metals and minerals in the moon's crust.

Certainly the harvesting of phrik is a strong reason to establish a mine on one of Gromas' rich mineral worlds, but other materials exist as well. Precious ones which KDY intends on utilizing in some of its more elaborate designs.

The team's shuttle lands a short distance from the facility, and once inside they begin to settle in.

Eventually the pre-fabricated outpost will expand and begin to strip the moon bare of all its valuable matter.

Caid's conversation with [member="Vrak Nashar"] was relatively brief and insightful. The young Centurion appreciated brevity in his social discourse. He had always wandered why certain individuals chose to utilize fifty words when their point could be conveyed in ten.

Following the young Ensign once more, Caid walked with a slightly more determined gait - pushing the pace of the officer escorting him. When the Sith Lord's boots touched the durasteel deck of the hangar, Caid stepped past the young officer. "Thank you, Ensign." Striding up the loading ramp to his vessel, Caid was immediately greeted by one of his warriors.

"Your Highness?"

Turning the corridor towards the rooms, Caid pulled back the hood of his cloak and removed his helm. "Set a course for Thule immediately. There is much work to be done."
