Moonage Daydream
The Levantine Sanctum, or Levant Outback does not have the most established military, with most systems able to fund and crew one or two cruisers for system protection, with a handful of frigates, tenders, and corvettes. Certain worlds, like Laekia have more, while worlds who are more backwater, like Arda, depend on mobile command cruisers and their small patrol units. The smaller vessels had a tendency to venture between other battlegroups, like electrons to an atomic nucleus.
Battlegroups are set up by more able-bodied commanders, and at times are commanded by a Levant Sentry, with the intent to be small, mobile, and able to strike and fade where it was needed.
Levant Sentry Rimo Var, a Mon Calamari who had a trace of old Rebellion and Underground history, was at one point mirroring a Jedi Shadow, without the Jedi Dogma, and a penchant for using illusions to hide his men, commanded one such patrol unit.
Patrol Unit Blacktip, named for a specific shark found within the Mon Cal oceans, was built of the following major vessels, with the aforementioned frigates and corvettes attending and venturing between other ships. The major five are always in attendance, or call the patrol unit home.
MC140 Scythe Blacktip was a winged Liberty-class MC80 dressed up in dark gray and black. The vessel was once a former long range exploration and search and rescue vessel that became more of a combat-search-and-rescue, hit and fade vessel with a focus in becoming a starfighter carrier
A pair of Sphyrna-class C80 Hammerhead Scout Corvettes titled Osprey and Kestrel were designed to provide light anti-starfighter fire support but also to jump ahead and behind the battlegroup to ensure safety. These two vessels each have their larger weaponry removed in favor of becoming a light carrier.
A pair of Ruisto Exploration Craft titled Peregrine and Eagle Ray were designed to provide hard point anti-capital ship support through stronger turbolasers and missile/torpedo coverage.
The battlegroup favors a variety of support craft including Niathal shuttles, modified Skipray Blastboats, Preybird, Cutlass-10, and E-Wing Starfighters, and several other aging Sullust Alliance and Imperial vessels
