Peace is a Lie, There is only Passion

"How do you feel, knowing you wielded that power, Sophie?" Taeli asked as she used the Force to lower the smoldering corpse to the floor to allow the devourer pups to eat their fill. "Knowing you ended his life, but his death allowed you access to a power many of your fellow apprentices would kill to learn how to perform accurately. That was no beginners lightning at the end, it was nearing the blue hue that is so characteristic of the technique."

She turned and smiled, the dark side was growing ever stronger within her now. The concentration amulet was already slowly building Sophie's current connection to the Force, allowing more and more of the dark side to fill her. To hers to command and to crush those that stood in her way.

"You have performed admirably today, my apprentice, so you may take one of the pups to raise as your own," she continued saying, gesturing for the pups to line up in front of her apprentice.

The commenorating words of her master sunk into Sophie like a boulder tossed into an ocean. It was truly empowering for her to now have such an ability at her beck and call. She looked down at the hand that had unleashed the force onto the now dead man, knowing it was only the beginning. There was more to learn in the darkside, far more destructive and powerful means than the lightside and the Jedi could ever understand. More than she'd ever thought. All of it was intoxicating to where it was almost like an addiction she only wanted more of.

When [member="Darth Arcanix"] told her she could have one of the pups Sophie looked to all three currenlty lined up. If fighting one was hard enough having one for a personal pet would be endering but worth it. To have a devourer to call upon, along with the possible aspects of a familiar once she learned Sith alchemy like her master did, Sophie could already see herself standing among the stronger of the Sith lords with enough time.

Sophie pointed to the largest of the pups, a male, and beckoned it foward. As it came to her she kneeled down and held a hand out, the pup sniffing before allowing her to pet it. She had provided him food and a new life, of course it would be grateful. Now only a name was needed.

After thinking on it Sophie had called "Sebastian..."

"A strong name," Taeli said, commanding the two other pups to sit on either side of her. "He will be your responsibility, my apprentice. You must control him so he will not attack any other students. We have rules against such blatant attacks on your rivals."

Taeli hoped she would catch the implied idea that as long as she wasn't caught, she could position herself above her rivals in any necessary. Turning back to the window, she continued by saying, "That will conclude today's lesson, so the rest of the day is yours. I impart to you something most do not know yet, but will be announced soon enough. The war is reheating, we will be invading a Republic world very soon. I want you by my side when the fighting begins again, so you may learn more."

The talk of war had made Sophie both anxious and nervous. If it meant going against the Republic, those who were once her allies, she knew there would be a grand fight soon to come. Her time in the Jedi order, while breif, had lead her to know what sort of capabilites they had. Strong soldiers and strong ships, but the Sith had thier numbers as well. Sophie figured that, whevere she was with [member="Darth Arcanix"] , would keep her out of the view of the other Republic members. None in the Jedi order knew she was alive and with the Sith, they thinking she died on Ossus. It wasn't the right time to prove them wrong. Not yet. But soon.

With her master's dismiss Sophie bowed and walked off, Sebastian following her. He kept pace with er as she eventually went back to her room, some of the temple guards she passed she'd stopped to tell the to make ready any and all preperations for her keeping Sebastian with her. There came a point where they passed students and the young devourer pup growled at them, looking ready to punce and startling them.

"Sebastian!" Sophie said, making the pup stand down and follow her, the students still scared by what they'd seen. As they followed back Sophie reached out and patted his head as they walked while saying "Good boy...."
