- Durable Blade: This sword is made of an extremely durable metal known as Phrik. Capable of standing up to a lightsaber with ease, it is also reinforced with Sith alchemy, which helps the blade's durability and make it resistant to corrosion.
- Personal Shield Emitter: The hilt of this weapon houses a miniature shield emitter that can be used to protect Cardinal from blaster fire and, if maneuvered properly, kinetic strikes. This shield emitter can only project a 2'X2' shield that can take minimal damage or a few glancing blows from a lightsaber.
- The Black Fires: The Sith Alchemy infused within this blade created a special ability that only the blade's master can activate. When tapping into the Dark Side of the Force, the blade itself will become wrapped in a black flame. This flame will mildly flow from the base of the sword to it's tip. Not only do these flames inflict extra damage on anything they come into contact with, but if the flames manage to catch on their target they are extremely difficult to put out.
- Phrik Blade: The Phrik used in this sword makes it nearly indestructible. There are few weapons or materials in the galaxy that could hope to shatter a blade of this make, even a lightsaber is ineffective against the metal.
- Advanced Vibroblade: Due to the exceptional metal used as well as the alchemical reinforcement tasked on the blade, it is more powerful than the standard Phrik sword, so much so that it can wear down and cut through less superior metals such as durasteel and titanium.
- Shield and Sword: The blade has a built in shield that can be utilized for minimal defense. Although the shield does not have a large capacity to take damage, it can often offer an opening on an unsuspecting enemy.
- Black Flames: The black fire that can flow from this blade are extremely difficult to put out and can cause severe burns to the blade's target. If left unchecked they can easily be the source of a terrible wild fire.
- Electrical Conductor: Due to the Vibration cell used in this weapon, it enhances the already conductive properties of the Phrik blade. If any form of electricity is used on the blade it will be amplified and the user will suffer the consequences.
- The taint of the Dark Side: Although the blade has been enhanced with Sith Alchemy, it is not a natural conduit for the dark energies. However, if the user taps into the Dark Side to utilize it's black flames they will find themselves more drawn to the Dark Side and more prone to utilize the ability.
- EMP/ION: This sword uses an energy cell for the vibration generator. If a targeted EMP attack strikes this blade it could overload the vibration cell and disable the vibro function as well as the shield emitter.
- Heavy: As a greatsword, this weapon is fairly heavy and difficult to wield for long periods of time. Even someone who is used to the extreme weight of the blade will find themselves unable to have long sustained fights or use the blade as freely as a smaller one.
- Loud and Long: The Vibrocell for this weapon creates a loud, saw like buzz that can be heard from nearly a mile away. It is impossible to use this blade to the maximum capacity without attracting significant attention.
Phoenix is a beautiful blade, crafted by Cardinal to be one of the most superior sword's in the galaxy. More specifically, it is supposed to be the ideal sword for him. Made with an extremely durable metal known as Phrik it is easily capable of withstanding lightsabers and blaster fire.
The blade itself was made with a ultrasonic vibration cell that increased the weapon's lethality. With the Vibrocell this blade was capable of cutting through the many inferior materials in the galaxy. Along with the vibration cell was a shield emitter embedded in the heart of the hilt. This shield emitter is capable of withstanding blaster fire for a short amount of time or even a few glancing blows from a lightsaber. Although the shield and Vibrocell cannot be used at the same time, as they draw from the same power cell, they can be used in rapid succession to make a sword and shield combination.
Once the blade was forged, Cardinal's long-time friend and sometimes mentor, [member="Darth Metus"] saw fit to augment the blade with Sith Alchemy. Although his magics worked to make the blade slightly more powerful, it also blessed and cursed the blade with an extraordinary ability.
By tapping into the Dark Side of the Force, Cardinal could summon black flames from the blade. These flames would increase the damage done by the blade as well as spread upon most things they came into contact with. The flames are significantly more difficult to be extinguished than a standard fire and if left unchecked can spread to larger roaring infernos.
