Picking The Bones Clean (PM to join unless tagged)

Sighing inside my helmet I looked back at Jae as she asked about ways to stop the Reavers. "Headshots followed by decapitation would be one way. Another would be incineration to completely stop them or acidic compounds such as acid misting grenades and ammunition. I'd target their legs to prevent them moving quickly, but you'd still need to destroy brain function so the body stops. Though again, I'd simply cut their heads off after crippling them as mutations that've happened to them may allow them to reanimate themselves."

"Short version? Destroy the head and remove it, to completely stop them incineration as I said. At this point even if we were to blow the airlock in a section with them they'd survive since they no longer require oxygen. As it is there's a higher chance of running into more of them where we're headed next we'll be taking a cargo lift back by Crosswire down into the main gun batteries and cargo bay. When we get there I'm going to pop the casings on the explosive shells and rig them into a network of incendiary charges to purge all life aboard. Then I'll be transferring the firing trigger to a code in my gauntlet as well as a password. It'll allow us to safely begin stripping the research station while we make sure that this vessel will be completely empty. Then we send probes to begin deconstructing the ship for raw materials."

Having filled several bags with medical supplies and sealing them shut. I began moving back with Jae towards Crosswire. I really hoped he'd found something on those logs before we'd have to head down to the gun batteries and cargo bay. As it was once I'd reached Crosswire I grabbed the bag from Jae along with my own and began moving them outside of the ray shielding into the blackness of space. As the cargo crate was simply a few meters away from where we'd entered I launched a line at it and feeling it latch on I jetted over to it. Placing my hand over the bio-scanner keypad I felt the locking mechanism disengage and I pulled the door open. Pushing the bags of medical supplies into the cargo container I pulled the door back shut and sealed it.

Retracting my line I looked back at the ray shielding I'd exited from and launched my line back towards it. This time the line didn't catch and I hadn't engaged my mag-boots, engaging my thrust pack and the thrusters on my boots I made it back to the ray shielded opening and retracted the line. Once more passing through the shielding I looked towards Crosswire and Jae both before saying "Alright guys, Crosswire please tell me you've gotten something from those logs now? If so you can play it as we all hop aboard the cargo lift and head down to the main gun batteries and cargo bay. We can't exactly be picky in how we spend the time aboard here we'll have to make good use of the time we've got left aboard here not to mention topping our oxygen off should we come across any oxygen re-breather tanks."

"I'm working on it guys. Just about done. Also..." I take the keycard from Andorreth just before he takes off and scan it on my pad, giving me an in on one of the servers to help make things a bit easier, as well as figure out the encrypting algorithm of the ship, and this way I can copy it to my own suit so I can open doors as I need it without him, if need be. Better to be safe than sorry. "Thank ya sir." I send the data to each of our suits, still keeping a paw on the hilt of my sword. I continue my cracking endeavors with my neural link, while searching through the life sensor network within the ship. I send my hud display of the ship diagnostics to each-others HUD's. "There are a lot of dead spots in what I can see on the ship, and things are especially broken in the cargo bay. Be ready for anything once we get there. I regret not getting a drone... That'd make planning so much easier." My helm beeps once I finally get into the main server. "I'm in. I'll start loading the logs into my data pad's drive. Seems to me power is out mostly in the cargo bay, the helm of the ship and the docking bay. Everywhere else is somewhat powered." I shudder a bit at the thought of what may be down there. I work my way over to the two of them, starting up the logs. As if going back out into space wasn't creepy enough..

Jae found that this whole ship gave her the creeps, sending chills down her back every time she kept thinking about what else could possibly be lurking around on this ship. "We done here?" She asked as she began heading toward the cargo lift. They'd head down to the main gun batteries and cargo hold. As the lift took the trio down, it moved sluggishly and gave Jae an uneasy feeling in her stomach, though she didn't know if that was a result from the lift or an unsettling gut feeling she had about this ship.

As the doors opened an eerie feeling overcame her as she carefully stepped out of the lift. She held her blaster close to her preparing for anything to happen right now. She looked through her visor as it was on night vision mode given the poorly lit surroundings.

As she continued walking forward she heard quick and heavy footsteps rushing towards her. She turned her head to the right and saw a figure running forwards almost ready to collide with her. Her eyes widened as she rapidly went for her blaster, aiming it at the figure though by the time she was ready to take aim the horror had leaped forward and tackled her to the ground. She let out a short shriek as the pair went rolling for a little until it stopped on top of her, Jae lying on her back. She grunted shortly before moving her hand around her blaster and pushing it upwards hitting the Reaver on its chin and knocking it upwards, she then brought her knee up hitting it off of her. She scrambled away, still on the ground using her legs to push herself away from the Reaver. She immediately took aim and shot it in the head.

She leaned her head against the wall behind her and huffed before relaxing her arm, unaware of how tight her rip was on her blaster. "I'm getting tired of these Reavers." She sighed.

That wasn't expected...Though the general rule for this type of deal was that anything that could go wrong could. Pulling Serenity I simply decapitated the thing. I was surprised that not anything huge had happened yet. To be honest we should have run into more of these Reavers...which if there'd been a full crew.... "Fierfeck'la Osik! Guys there's a reason we haven't seen more of these things. The rest of the crew is likely in what would be like sleep for them. We've only dealt with two so far one was trapped in the med-bay the other was the one that just attacked Jae." Pulling a segmented staff from my back I handed it to Jae and said "button on the shaft expands it out and it has blades on both sides."

"I think we should avoid making any more bright flashes from blasters if we can avoid it.The last thing we need is for these things to swarm." Pulling the schematics up I saw where the gun battery was. "Crosswire I'd suggest heading to the cargo bay and getting that open, there should be a vault there which we'll need to have you pop open for us. I'm headed to the gun battery and rigging this whole place to go up in an epic fireball to sterilize the ship." With that I headed down the hall to the main battery. As I reached the door I heard movement on the other side, pausing for a second I went rushed through the door and before either Reaver could attack I stabbed through the first Reaver's head on the left. Then pulling my blade I spun and decapitated the second. Walking over to the first I crushed its head with a curbstomp.

With that out of the way I looked around briefly and seeing both fuel containers and loose cannon shells I began popping the seals on the fuel containers and tilted them over so the fuel would spill over the deck. Then to be sure I dragged another few over to the ventilation ducts and began pouring the containers into the vents. I wanted fuel to go through the whole ship and this would be the fastest way to disperse it everywhere. "Be advised everyone, I'm pouring all the fuel I can find into the ventilation system of the ship, it'll disperse throughout the whole ship so lock blasters to safe mode and use blades only. I'd hate to blow ourselves to hell due to poor trigger discipline. Removing explosives and rigging for remote detonation now I'll tie the remote trigger to my gauntlet afterwards. Voice code will be set as well so that we have a double safety, I'll rejoin you both shortly."

I watch as the two of them exchange weapons, and I pull my rifle off my back putting it into safe as instructed, as well as my blaster. Afterwards, I pull the blade out of the sheath in my suits leg, giving the release a flick, it extending to a full katana blade, giving it a few twirls to feel the weight of the blade. Been a while since I've handled this thing. Resting the blade on the back of my shoulders, I realize the file for the log wasn't playing. Only static. Crap looks like I got the encoding wrong. "Hey guys just realized the logs are in a different file format. I'm going to have my pad start working on fixing them. Guess we'll have to wait for our audiobook. Once my datapad finishes fixing the files, they'll start playing. I'll split then I guess to the bay. Before I go..." I enable our suits cams, displaying the feed on the corner of our HUD's. "Not that I don't trust your guy's communication skills. I just don't have eyes in a lot of this place and it worries me."

I start off on my way to the cargo bay, being careful to not step too firmly, but remaining quick as I'm still a bit paranoid of being followed. Calm down, deep breaths. I watch my corners carefully and watch for any silhouettes in the flashing light of electric sparks and voltage fluctuations. I catch movement in the corner of my eye and whip around blocking the beasts arm as it was already moving. I drive my knee into its chest, and run the blade through its neck. Once the head hits the ground I stab the blade straight through the skull. Where in the world did he come from?! I stand my ground for a moment, looking about the hall, making sure that I'm in the clear. Another jumps from the deck above me, and I sidestep his attack, swinging my blade upwards, straight through his chest.

As if the thing wasn't disturbing enough he starts crawling by his hands over to me. "Disgusting." I once again finish off the abomination of flesh and continue on my way into the cargo bay looking for anything useful.

Smiling as Crosswire turned out helmet cams on and looped them together I carefully began popping the lids off the cannon shells they all had different payloads but essentially they could also be set as pure energy dumps. Rig them to erupt and the temperature of the plasma charge when fired could purge all living matter. Cleansing fire as it were... there were several lifts to load the shells into the cannons but I decided popping the seals and re-routing them to simply blast plasma throughout the ship. The fuel would ignite and the plasma would already be at ridiculous temperatures anyways. Plasma would ignite the fuel and continue incinerating anything living aboard.

Just as I finished rigging the shells to blow in super-heated plasma form the logs Crosswire had gotten a hold of began playing. "This is medical officer Corvus. We have a patient that has been brought aboard the super-carrier Resolute for evaluation. The research station sent him to us in order to prevent contagion aboard the station. Contagion of what I don't know and as far as I can tell the only issue is several superficial cuts along their arms. Vertical patterns as well and self-inflicted though the patient seemed almost violently protective of not allowing us to treat his wounds. We were forced to sedate him in order to bandage them and now he seems to be resting quite nicely. More later..."

There was a slight delay as I continued on with what I needed to get finished. "By the Goddesses! He's awake, and I'm not sure why but he seems calm, disturbingly so in fact. I'd gone in to check on him but as I did he sliced my arm and pressed his wound against mine. I've run my own blood to check for infection and viral contaminants but nothing. He won't stop looking at me though almost as if he's waiting for something though what it is I know not."

That wasn't good it seemed I'd been right fluid contact against skin exposed to fluid contact... Pulling several remote charges from a pocket on my armored EVA suit I began placing them in groups of the shells. Nesting them amidst the shells rigged to explode with super heated plasma I set the timers for a five minute silent countdown and activating the charges I set them to LIVE status. Now tying the timers into my gauntlet I ensured that I could remotely activate them and set a passphrase as a double safety. Having taken care of being able to purge the ship of all life I began heading back into the hall to rejoin Jae and Crosswire.

"Ever since that incident with the patient I've been becoming increasingly agitated, that was 2 hours ago. Since then I've done every conceivable test on myself and still no contamination that I can detect. That being said I'm also incredibly hungry...almost as if I haven't eaten for weeks. Not to mention how hot my body is, perhaps I could use company tonight it's been so long and the crewman I ran into yesterday seemed more than willing..."

"Oh goddesses! What have I done?! What's happening to me?! I spent a night with the crewman but I woke up covered in his blood... It looked as though I'd done an autopsy on him while he was conscious... I can't shake the feeling that the patient I was treating is the cause but seeing that poor crewman felt......Warm. Oh god, what's going on?!"

"It's started...I was right, the patient did do something though what I'm not sure...Everything is so....warm. I need out of these clothes and my skin itches. I'd do anything for release from the itching... Perhaps something sharp to scratch with....."

"This is medical assistant Marik, the medical officer Corvus has become one of these things. I've heard stories but they're true...Reavers. I walked in today and saw her in an isolation chamber locked inside and her key card was destroyed. Cuts all along her body and covered in blood, how she was walking I have no idea. Worse is that she began eating her own skin after the cutting and somehow she's still moving around in there. I'm concerned by what I heard from her logs, the technicians who found the crewman she'd mutilated had been exposed to the blood and all of them had interactions with other crew members, there's no telling who's infected at this point and who's not. Then there's patient zero who is still locked away in isolation smiling like a deranged madman. As if it's all some sort of game to him... I wonder how long if this infection keeps going we'll last..."

This didn't bode well...the whole crew had become infected then, and now they were nowhere to be found aboard. The crew common areas, and living quarters though we'd need to isolate them shut the blast doors to seal those decks off entirely. The fuel I'd poured into the ventilation ducts would have already made it almost everywhere aboard. Popping the lids to several more crates I poured three more full barrels of fuel into the ventilation system to be sure. We needed to get as much cargo and raw materials back into the cargo crate on the outer hull as possible. Hopefully we'd be able to get over to the research station next. It sounded like the the station had had only the one patient and vented whatever contaminants there were into space then. So we'd be rather secure aboard the station or so I hoped.

In any case we'd have to hope for some kind of small vessel aboard the research station as I was not going to have The Rogue's Salvation exposed to whatever had been aboard. Plus we'd need to pick up the two cargo crates after I blew the magnetic locks holding them to the hull. We'd activate the beacons aboard the crates and pick them up via the Salvation or a vessel we'd pilot out of the research station.

Jae walked down the hall with Crosswire and headed to the Cargo Bay with him. As she walked with him the logs started to play and she paid close attention to everything that was said, hoping that there'd be some valuable information that the trio could use against these Reavers. Anything that would make her feel a little better than she did now about the current company they had with them on board. She'd already been up close and personal with one if them she didn't need to see another one of them any time soon.

One thing that she did find intriguing was this 'patient zero' she wondered if they played any importance in this whole situation, given the limited information she received from the log this 'patient zero' wasn't anything good.

Continuing with Crosswire to the Cargo Bay, she started to inspect the weapon Andorreth had given her just earlier before. She smiled upon looking at it and ran her thumb over the button, pressing it. She jumped and held the weapon out in front of her as the ends extended, protruding a blade on each end. "Cool.." She muttered to herself, admiring the weapon. She pressed the button once as the end retreated into the staff, conforming back to a more compact form.

Once Andorreth rejoined the two of them she looked over and smiled, "Everything ok on your end?" She asked, regarding what he was doing earlier.

[member="Andorreth Vikar"] | [member="Trelock Relon"]

As Jae asked if everything went ok on my end I looked at her and removing the filter on my helmet so they could both see my face I said "How unsafe do you all feel around incredibly flammable things? Better question is how disconcerting would it be knowing that all the atmo aboard now has highly flammable fuel circulating through the air ventilation systems, and that the shells for the ships guns have been popped open and set with a silent countdown that could be triggered remotely with a keyphrase? The result of which would be those charges detonating super heated plasma igniting the fuel moving through the ventilation systems. The result of which would be this whole place incinerating every living thing aboard."

"I mean in terms of safety unless my arm happens to be lopped off we should be fine. This deck though is filled with that fuel meaning if any of us shoot off blasters we're boned. Which is why I also have flechette guns. Spring loaded with enough force to put a flechette through the head and up to four shots. Can be fired individually or all at once and after pulling the rounds from fallen enemies they can be reloaded. Everyone gets one courtesy of the captain." Handing one to Jae and the other to Crosswire I wondered where patient zero was. I mean we'd gone into a medical bay earlier but there had been no isolation or quarantine quarters. Meaning there was another med bay aboard...Crap that wasn't good if patient zero had essentially sired all the rest of the Reavers aboard then we'd need to burn everything aboard anyways so the contagion couldn't spread.

"Crosswire how are we doing on cracking the vault? We need to get what we can loaded aboard the cargo container up top then move into the research station. After we trigger the beacon and the mag-lock release of the cargo crate up top as I said we'll head into the research station. Once aboard I'll begin the sequence to cleanse the Resolute. We may wanna watch the fireworks before getting started on the research station though. I mean I am not usually one to brag but I think everyone will wanna see the results of what I just got done doing in the gun batteries"

I had the feeling that the research station would be the only thing untouched in this mission. They'd offloaded patient zero here to the Resolute. When contagion had been discovered the other ships that'd fired on the Resolute had picked up "Survivors" further spreading the infection. But since the research station had offloaded the only person affected to the resolute and then vented the atmosphere from that section into the vacuum of space it stood to reason there were no contaminants aboard. More than that though we'd be able to pop the seals on our helmets there and renew our air supply in our suits. I had a good feeling about this though I also knew I shouldn't celebrate just yet. We'd still need to load up all the cargo and salvage we could from this cargo bay into the lift we'd arrived down here on. Then get it out into the cargo container on the outer hull.

Plus we needed to seal off the other decks we hadn't visited yet. The crew quarters, and other medical bays, isolation and prisoner decks... All of it other than what we'd used would have to be sealed off the fuel I'd pumped into the ventilation systems would be circulating throughout every deck at this point meaning if we sealed off every deck we'd not gone through we could effectively trap any remaining Reavers aboard the Resolute and execute them where they were. First though cargo, I fell to grabbing crates in the bay and placing anything that looked to be of worth inside. Tools, gas cylinders for welding, shipping manifests, anything that looked to be of value I grabbed and placed in the crates. Hopefully whatever was in the vault that Crosswire was working on would be worth it...

As I listen to the harrowing story the logs told, I got to work on the vault, tapping into the control panel off to to the side, this time routing the information traffic to my implant. Guess I should get used to this thing eventually. Instantly my mind is lost in code and encrypted data. I work as quick as I can to get the vault open and before I know it the code recedes, and I'm back on the ship in space, vault open in front of us. I turn to Andorreth, having heard the echo of his voice in the halls. "Sorry did ya say something? I was stuck in the matrix." I chuckle a bit, sheathing my sword and taking the shotgun from him. Well, guess things couldn't get any worse. I mean, for the crew on this ship that is. Terrible as these people fates were, We had to press on. "Well, m'lady?" I say to Jae, bowing a bit and gesturing towards to door, still walking with them to keep an eye out for any other beasties.

[member="Andorreth Vikar"] @Jae Jordan

Jae listened as Andorreth proceeded to talk about how he'd essentially rigged the place to blow. She stared at him for a moment afterwards he finished speaking and processed what he'd just said and how everything on board had highly flammable fuel over it as well as the fuel drifting throughout the entire ventilation system. "...Ummm, just a little disconcerted." She replied back. Before she could even bring to topic the fact that their blasters would ignite a fire, Andorreth pulled out a set of blasters. She took the gun into her own hand and studied it briefly, simply getting a feel for the weapon before she rushed in without knowing how to properly use it. "Thanks!" She replied as she held the gun at the ready, preparing for any more surprises that may or may not decide to jump out at them.

She directed her attention away from the gun and back to Andorreth as he laid out the next phase of their plan and moving into the research station. She couldn't help but smile and roll her eyes a little in a playful manner as he started to carry on about his work and how it'd be best if they were there to witness what he had done down in the gun batteries. "Don't worry we'll stick around to watch your masterpiece."

Watching her surroundings she finally heard Crosswire speak up, looking towards him she listened and saw him gesture towards the door, "Such a gentleman." She replied smiling before walking into the doorway he'd been gesturing towards, heading into the vault in front of the trio. She walked in rather slowly and stayed on high alert, holding her gun close to her and her grip tight around it, though this was a sealed off area she didn't dare take any risks in the teams safety and refused to drop her guard down even for a second.

[member="Andorreth Vikar"] | [member="Trelock Relon"]

Smiling at the back and forth between Jae and Crosswire I headed into the vault and began looking around. There were several crates filled with bars of precious metals, along with another filled with high-grade weaponry. Well the weaponry was to be expected on a ship like this. The bars of precious metals as well due to the possibility of having seized cargo from pirate vessels. There was yet another crate with what appeared to be, no it couldn't be........a prototype stealth drive for frigate class vessels.

Well that'd be more than useful after we got out of here. Making sure that the crates were insulated I secured the latches and looking at Crosswire I said "Hey Crosswire think you could turn The Rogues' Salvation into a cloaked vessel with a frigate class prototype stealth drive? Cause turns out I just found one. Also found some high-grade military weaponry, and some other shiny things we can use to fund the construction of a base." After securing the latches on the crates I checked my belt and made sure that we'd be able to protect our egress of The Resolute. Looking around for a few minutes I found a hover sled and began loading the crates up on the sled. There were a few I hadn't checked and odds were we'd find something that each of us could use but I simply locked them and loaded them on the sled.

Just then Jax came on the comms "Captain, the probes have completed stripping the first two ships in the fleet of useable materials and parts. There were high levels of contamination and Jax decided to have one probe stay behind and sabotage the fuel cells that were not salvaged to vent fuel throughout the two ships. Jax also ensured the probe would keep shielding up on these two ships to keep contaminants aboard. Ready to ignite fuel on your orders captain, Jax out captain." Good man Jax, the last thing we needed was to allow any of the Reavers that didn't need oxygen into the open vacuum of space. Shivering at the thought I continued loading the rest of the crates up and securing them with a magnetic lock to the sled.

Glancing back to Crosswire and Jae I said "Alright guys Jax has started loading salvage aboard the Salvation and has rigged the other two ships to go up in a cleansing fireball too. I suggest we get this stuff loaded into the cargo container on the hull of The Resolute and secure it, trigger the beacon on it, then blow the mag-locks. After that we'll use our thrust jets on our EVA suits to reach the research station. Once aboard and safely away from the flammable fuel and everything here we'll blow the charges and trigger holy fire throughout The Resolute, and the two ships Jax set up to burn as well. If nobody has objections to that then I suggest we get this hover-sled back to the cargo lift we came down here on."

[member="Jae Jordan "]- [member="Trelock Relon"]

I shudder a bit as I listen to the logs. This is something really fit for a horror film.. I can't imagine what the crew went through watching each of their comrades fall victim to the virus only to be overcome themselves. Terrifying...
I take a slow walk around the stealth drive inspecting it and its ports. Really well built for what looks to be a prototype. "Yeah I imagine we can find a way to hook this baby up. Lets load 'er up." Nearby I find spare ammo charges in a crate. "Looks like I found the ammo reserve for said weapons. Might be able to get more bang for our buck there." As I continue to look for usable, non destroyed cargo, a growl catches my ear, and I flip around to see a open palm right in my face, side stepping the out of balance monster and kicking him behind his knee, all the while drawing my sword to follow up and decap the reaver. "Still gotta watch your six though. Occasional reaver roaming about."

[member="Andorreth Vikar"] [member="Jae Jordan "]

As Crosswire worked loading up yet more cargo onto the hover-sled I reached down to my belt and twisted the small, disc-shaped grenades I'd had stowed aboard the Rogue's Salvation. Once tossed they would fire thin wire filaments into the walls or other surface creating nets of tripwires. Should someone or in this case something break the filaments a highly pressurized compressed gas cylinder would be punctured launching the shrapnel at incredible velocity allowing for the enemies caught in them to suffer debilitating injuries. In this case razors shot through legs.

Looking towards both Crosswire and Jae I said "I think it's time we got moving back to the outer hull with the things we've gathered." Securing the last of what Crosswire had stacked on the hover-sled I began moving it out of the vault and back towards the cargo lift we'd come down in. As Jae and Crosswire made their way back down the hall I primed three more grenades and flung them down the hall. As they landed thin and yet incredibly strong filaments of razor wire sprang out and anchored themselves in the walls. Pushing the hover-sled into the lift I waited for Jae and Crosswire to join me then hit the lift button that'd take us back up.

Priming another three of the grenades I'd just tossed out I felt the lift begin to rise taking us back to the upper deck. I'd toss the grenades out and down the hall same as before allowing us a safety net while we moved the hover-sled out into the cargo container on the outer hull. Once we got the sled out into zero-g we'd need to use the thrusters on the rear side to bring it up against the cargo container crate. Unlock the crate, move everything inside then seal it back up before triggering the beacon and releasing the mag-locks. All things considered we were doing well so far...

[member="Jae Jordan "]- [member="Trelock Relon"]

Jae kept on high alert, not particularly wanting to have another run in with those Reavers though she knew that that outcome was almost inevitable considering they had practically infested within this entire ship that the three of them currently resided in. Jae listened in to what Andorreth was saying about the near plan that the trio was about to execute. She continued to listen though not looking at him as he spoke, still keeping her eyes on her surroundings. After he was done she finally turned her head and looked to him, giving a solid and confident nod, agreeing with the plan he proposed and finding nothing to object with. "Sounds like a plan, let's get going then." She said moving along with the hover-sled towards the cargo lift. "The less time we have to spend on this ship the better, this place gives me the creeps." She added at the end.

The cargo lift moved upwards at a somewhat steady pace before the doors opened once again. The hover-sled approached the cargo container on the outer hull, the trio moving alongside it. Soon enough she;d be off of this ship with the materials they'd collected and she wouldn't have to come back, she continued to tell herself this as she tried to not dwell on the idea of more Reavers. As she looked about the area and started to get the hover-sled into zero-g, she could hear heavy breathing near her, though still not significantly close it seemed to echo around her. Turning around she only just caught the Reaver approaching her and quickly ducked, rolling to the side as it leapt for her. Getting back up to her feet she held the staff Andorreth had given her tightly in her palms, preparing to use it though at the same time nervous as she hadn't used this weapon in combat before. As the Reaver charged for her once again, she quickly pressed the button as each end extended, stepping to the side, in one swift motion she impaled the creature through its back, decapitating it as it fell to the ground. As she retracted the weapon she watched the Reaver for one last moment, making sure it was completely deceased before returning to the hover-sled.

Moving into zero-g Jae started to disable her mag-boots and prepare to use her thrusters. Beginning to use her thrusters the trio began to move the hover-sled closer and closer towards the cargo container crate. She began to help move all the materials from point A to point B after the crate was unlocked. As she looked around and for the crate to be sealed back up again she looked to Andorreth and Crosswrie, "We good to go?" She didn't want to sound hasty, but she had to admit she was eager and quite pleased to get out of here.

[member="Andorreth Vikar"] | [member="Trelock Relon"]

As reached our entry point I watched as Jae quickly and efficiently dispatched a reaver. After doing that we moved the hover-sled through the black vacuum of space and began loading the gear we'd salvaged aboard the cargo container. After getting everything secured I sealed the cargo container back up and triggered the beacon aboard it. Disengaging the magnetic locks I watched as it floated away into the black void. Looking over at Jae and Crosswire I said "Okay guys, first part is over with. Next we hit the research station, there's next to no chance of any reavers aboard due to them offloading patient zero onto the ship we just got off of. From there the contagion simply spread to the rest of the fleet. We can board the research station and load up the cargo container there, afterwards we'll trigger the beacon aboard it and release the magnetic locks. If there's anything still left in the hangar we'll fly out and grab the container before rejoining Jax aboard the Salvation."

Looking towards Jae I gave her a hang loose sign with my hand and triggered the micro-thrusters on my suit taking me towards the research station. Hopefully Crosswire and Jae would be behind me... I had a good feeling about the research station, of all the ships out here it was the least likely to have things trying to kill us. On top of that we could actually pop the seals to our suits and restore the oxygen we'd expended already. All in all, even with the reavers this hadn't been a bad day...

[member="Jae Jordan "]- [member="Trelock Relon"]

I follow a jumping motion, disengaging my boots just before the boots force me to face plant. I engage my thrusts on my suit and follow to the side of him, careful of the debris. Last thing I need is to be knocked off course. Well.. Bit better than being on that ship I suppose. So long as I pay attention, and not- Crap! My line of thought is cut off by a floating metal I beam. I flip myself forward to dive under it in a corkscrew fashion, and stabilize myself back into my flight path, working slowly back into formation. I take a deep breath. Speaking of paying attention...

I ready my line launcher pointing it towards the research station, waiting for it to get in range before launching it. I try to go in for a softer landing now that I know what we're dealing with, hitting the metal with a soft thud as the magnets attach me to the broken hull. "Hopefully that'll mean less awakens beasties. Looking forward to burning these things in a lake of fire. Any special targets for me on this next ship you want me to know about? Doors? Vaults?"

Smiling as Crosswire landed against the hull of the research station I heard him ask about doors and vaults. "Both actually, though the odds of anything wanting to eat our faces off on the interior of the research station. Remember they offloaded patient zero and spaced any kind of potential toxins before moving away from the fleet. So we should actually just be able to watch the firework show after getting aboard the station. Though in terms of doors and vaults yeah there's bound to be a few aboard that we'll need your particular skills to open."

Looking over at Jae I gave her a hang loose sign with my left hand. Looking back at Crosswire I said "Now we'll be needing you to open one of the internal hatches after we get inside the airlock my man." With that I made my way along the hull of the research station to an airlock and after twisting the external hatch control I pulled the rod out before twisting it back to the right and pushing it into place. Seeing a green light flicker on I began the opening sequence for the outer hatch and moved into the outer airlock chamber. Waiting for Jae and Crosswire to join me I prepared to reseal the doors for the chamber we'd just entered. It'd be up to Crosswire to override the security locks keeping us from entering the station. After that was taken care of we could restore pressure and begin the decontamination protocols.

Jae looked around them as they floated in the black void that was space. She watched as Andorreth left the two f them and headed towards the researched station, followed by Crosswire. She prepared her thrusters and line launcher just in case. Initiating the thrusters she moved closer towards the research station and trailed behind Crosswire. Approaching the side of the airlock she lowered the thrusters energy before coming to a stop and simply floating beside the duo for only a few short moments, her hand ran along the side as Andorreth played around with the hatch control, opening the airlock for the three of them to enter.

Once it was opened she moved in and followed Andorreth. As soon as Crosswire and herself had moved inside Andorreth was able to now reseal the doors and the trio would be able to move on with the rest of their mission. Almost about to open her mouth regarding the pressurisation of the space they were currently in, she remembered Crosswire had to override the security locks before they could move anywhere.

Jae prepared to quickly look around and quickly load up the cargo container as quick as possible. Even though Andorreth had told the both of them that there was a slim chance of any Reavers being on board the research station she couldn't help but still want to get this mission over and done with. Even with the Reavers out of the equation, which was great, she didn't drop her guard down and still remained aware of the situation and their surroundings.

I saunter up to the hatch and give it a once over. After some inspecting I run my fingers along the outside edge of the door, finding a narrow maintenance door, just big enough to see the wires, I give them a work over, split one of the wires up, and cross the needed two, twisting them up, annnnnnd.... With a solid movement, the it's open. "Success is sweet." I look inside before hopping in, everything being clear. "Someone got lazy. Same construction for several of these doors. I mean I get it, if it works don't change the method, but I mean... security is a thing too."

Once the doors open, I step inside and the station seems well powered for it's condition outside. Somewhat strange, but I'll take it over the infinite black and walking undead any day. Speaking of... I can't help but shake a feeling I've had since listening to those logs.. "Think we'll find anymore information on patient zero here, or where they came from? I'm honestly interested to know more.. It just doesn't feel right. The medical officer does a test for the contagion on her own blood, but she gets nothing. Knowing that the guy is contagious, why wouldn't they have just put her into quarantine right away? And, with the way she described the patient acting, it just seems really.. calculated." I shake my head a bit. Naw, just letting paranoia get to me now. Least I don't have to deal with the things anymore. Can relax a tad until we get back.

Stepping through the opening Crosswire had unlocked for us I waited for the atmospheric scanner in my HUD to give me a green light in terms of being able to safely breathe the air. As if on cue my HUD began giving me the green lit indicator that it'd be safe to pop my helmet. Reaching up I placed my hands on either side of my helmet and twisted to the left before lifting my helmet free. Glancing over at Crosswire I said "air is clean of contaminants you guys are safe to pop your helmets. As for your question about patient zero....One word answer would be Sith. A two word answer would be Matsu Xiangu, from stories I heard on Coruscant and what I experienced of her handiwork before being exiled from Corellia it's probably her creative sloppy seconds."

"She's known for playing god with science and dark magic. My brother and I had to deal with things like Krayt Dragons and Rancors that'd been fused with Rakghoul genetics. We had to burn an area of land, kill the hybrids and both coat them in highly corrosive acid and then spray down with accelerant before firing incendiary arrows into the corpses. Matsu wasn't known for her humanity but her creativity was truly monstrous. In any case her experiment was likely to wait several systems away and watch how quickly patient zero could infect the fleet. Also likely that patient zero was someone that used to be close or intimate with her, she's known as many things but black widow is one of them."

"In any case, she's not around and she probably abandoned this experiment the moment it didn't go her way. So any kind of research data would be useful. If nothing else we can provide it to the Jedi and gain some kind of favor with them wouldn't hurt either as most of what we do is illegal anyways. As for security probably some kind of assassin droids left around to guard the research or whatever tech and weapons were left aboard."

Finishing my explanation I locked my helmet against my armors chest-plate then touching the controls on my left forearm datapad I flicked the setting on all my weapons to ion blast settings. If there were assassin droids left aboard it'd be to our benefit to disable them and power them down Crosswire could always toy with their code and reprogram them to be loyal to us. Ejecting the hidden blade in my right gauntlet along with the jagged blades along my forearms I pulled my Omen blaster rifle free from my right thigh plate and primed the charge in the rifle. Making sure I had the attention of Crosswire and Jae I tapped against a glasteel viewport "I promised a fireworks show remember?" I waited until they were by the viewport and then inputted the code to turn the explosives live, then I said into the ear mic "A man can change his own destiny" There was a brief pause and then explosions lined the Resolute with jets of plasma bathing everything in cleansing Holy fire.

I watched as fire ripped through the hulls of the whole fleet but left the ships intact. I'd used the fuel aboard to basically just incinerate any living thing aboard. Those ships would be reset to factory settings before any being had been aboard. Leaving the ships intact was the key I could sell the infromation of where the fleet was to anyone who cared to acquire them. Looking at Jae I said "Beautiful isn't it? I'd never do this with any truly living being aboard ships like this but there's something cleansing about this I think..." Time to start clearing the station...Before I started I set my suit to refresh the oxygen supply in it. I began walking away from the group before I opened up the group comms.

"Alright guy and pretty little lady, there are likely assassin droids operating on low power it'd be to our benefit to disable them and load them aboard whatever ship is in the hangar ion weapons would be good for that. Crosswire you'll be responsible for reprogramming those droids, also if you find any doors that you think have valuables inside pop them and take whatever shinies are inside. Repulsor-sleds to load up and bring to the hangar level which I'm going to clear now. Jae you can work with Crosswire or you can work with me."
