A pair of pale, stubby winged ghosts drifted through orbit, gunning down enemy starfighters at will
Nathan finally had a chance to test out the new starfighter one of Bacta-Works subsidiaries had developed. Starfighters assembled by hand. Under his supervision.
Not that anyone in the Trade League knew it.
Nathan
detested pirates. So he had brought along Kinea, a trusted Jedi from the RTL who had assisted him a few times since.
The two members of the Wild Knights flew a tight formation, blasting away enemy fighters chasing alliance pilots, weaving through rapidly piling up space wreckage.
"Bombers descending into Atmosphere." Kinea called out through encrypted comms.
"Engaging..." Nathan replied, altering course. Allied fighters spotted the white hulls with the brightly colored livery before they cloaked on their approach to the bombers.
"Focus on their guns. I'll take the engines..." Nathan said.
"Copy. Initiating." Kinea confirmed targeting the guns on one bomber while Nathan focused on reducing the engines to scrap. The Bomber exploded in a bright flash, and they repeated this pattern, zig zagging through defensive firing arcs and downing four more, the stealth systems almost making it too easy.
"We should hit that destroyer. It's launching more fighters, Knight Two." Kinea said.
"Agreed. Diverting." Nathan responded. "We hit the surface weapons."
The two fighters raced out of the atmosphere to head towards the destroyer, which was already firing it's guns.
They concentrated their fire on one turbolaser array, even as they avoided anti starfighter guns and missiles. The array eventually exploded, and the pair focused on the smaller guns, anything to make an Alliance attack more successful.
"Watch it, Knight Three, you got one on your tail..." Nathan warned as a particularly aggressive Ugly chased her.
"It must have a grav-field sensor!" Kinea exclaimed as she tried to shake the fighter.
"I can't shake him!" Kinea said. "He's got a lock!"
"Steady." Nathan replied, altering his trajectory to intercept. The fighter broke off and Nathan barely evaded it's bolts as it pulled a U-turn then a corkscrew attack pattern.
"Reform on my tail, Kinea. We got a stealth Hunter to kill..." Nathan ordered as he gave chase...
