Politics, Profit and Pirates, Oh My! (CSA Dominion of Balmorra Hex)

It always seemed a little weird for this.

There were reasons of my own for being here. Namely, I owed some of the people for their aid to me. I had to pay them back in whatever form I could. If that meant stalking one particular member of the family, then I would do so. I always find it curious to me how such a family be tightly knit, while also being at odds with one another. It was a Unique aspect of their line and heritage. A father that was exiled, a son who sought to be peaceful, and a daughter that was geared up for a complete onslaught like the Mandalorians.

Strange, but it only showed how much of the family had an influence with various entities. They had been growing quite a bit in my absence. Well, to be more correct, in my exiled and lost state where I watched over them. Securing the mask over my face, I made sure it was tight around my jaw, and cheeks. While the top of my head and upper face were exposed, it was still hidden enough that a rare few who knew me could tell who I was. I held aloft in my hand a simple assault rifle. Taking aim from my position, I fired a couple bolts of the blue laser energy at the group of guards just outside the compound.

Three fell in rapid succession with an aim that could only be compared to a Rifleman, and a sniper. Moving forward, I reloaded the weapon due to the spent energy cartage. A loud ping echoed from the rifle as I moved towards the position of two young women who happened to be at a crash site. Their talking to one another was clear. Even from this distance, I knew they were doing as such. Why? They weren't shooting and were keeping themselves low.

After shoving a new energy cell into the rifle, I pressed a finger to my ear and spoke rather calmly into the system towards the two women.

"Whatever plan you two are chatting about, I recommend getting it started."

[member="Loreena Arenais"], [member="Beth Australis-Mantis"],

Beth grinned. She was glad she had [member="Loreena Arenais"] here to help her. It made her feel extremely optimistic that this wouldn't go completely south. "Sweet! That is perfect, cause I've never done anything like this," she admitted honestly. There was no point in trying to make herself mighty when she really was a newb at it all.

She nodded at Loreena's idea, although she did worry it might be too risky. "I like the first plan! Jump up, but be sure you don't get hit, then I'll start shooting from below!" She thought intensely. She would have liked the other idea expect she didn't think the slaves would be able to fight. "I like the second one but... I just don't want them to get in the way, you know? Like what if I accidentally shot one?" She murmured quietly, worried. She had never killed an innocent. And she really didn't want to accidentally do it today.

Beth stared as a stranger appeared and laid waste to three of the guards. There probably, in truth, wasn't many left. At least not many that would be willing to jump out and willingly attack now. She then heard him make a comment, which made her frown. "Well, we had to have a plan," she muttered more under her breath than towards anyone. She perked a brow, "Do you know him, Lori? I guess we better get moving though."

In either case, Beth nodded towards Lori and began to move towards the other guards, aiming her blaster and firing. Presumably, Lori would begin flying, Beth would jump behind another barrier, and they would be almost ready to get the slaves out. Sooo close.

The King of Ergonomic Assessments
Objective 3: Marketplace (ergonomic assessments)
Location: Neimoidia

"Your chair is perhaps a little too high for your health"

"Our employer hasn't replaced the furniture since I started working here: it's so worn out that they are fully depreciated"

No wonder the chair is out of alignment, he thought, while also realizing that not only the hydraulics in the furniture are faulty, the other ajustable components are very, very old, so old, in fact, that they have no carrying value left. Hopefully the Neimoidian executives running the place would realize that, not only the court order forced them to get the ergonomic assessment made, they would also need to be subjected to a second visit within three months to see whether the recommendations are actually carried out. If that chair is out of alignment, and that the executives haven't replaced the furniture in years, there may well be other chairs out of alignment, inadequate workstations or some other such things. That and the fireproofing problems are generalized; they were happening all over the facility that they were assessing. Also he started to get to work on the neighboring workstation, also realizing just out-of-alignment the chair is, and that the adjustment controls are faulty on that chair as well. Poodoo. How many out-of-alignment chairs would the Xi Charrians find?

Lori grinned, so glad that [member="Beth Australis-Mantis"] seemed to be quite eager with her plans. They were of course great plans, and brilliant ones at that. But hmm. She was to go to the roof alone. Well, that was alright. At least Beth will draw the guards away with some cover fire.

Her attention snapped to [member="Atheus Voidwalker"] as he appeared and also seemed to be fighting along side them. Who was he? She hadn't a clue. But he seemed to be on their side of things, given that he was dropping the guards.

"Roger that!" Lori dropped her goggles over her eyes, shrugging her shoulders in response to Beth's inquiry about Atheus. Then as her comrade opened fire, Lori stepped back from them and ignited her jetpack, hitting the button to activate the thrusters and send her soaring into the air. Being well practiced, she made a direct line to the roof of the compound and shut off her jetpack once she was within a few feet of the roof, letting her momentum take her the rest of the way in a bit of a run. Fortunately no guards were found.

She peered over the edge and gave both Beth and Atheus a wave before disappearing and searching for an access point. That was when she saw it. A door! Lori grinned broadly as she hurried over tried to open it. But the darn thing was locked! How typical! "Looks like I might have to crash through a window...."

That would probably hurt. But maybe there'd be a skylight! She mived from the door and hurried off to inspect the rest of the roof.

The two exchanged some glances rather quickly with words I could not hear. My appearance was not something that these two young lasses knew about. Loreena however may have heard of me in the past. A man that was an ally to her father and mother, but despite that, she would not know exactly what I looked like. Yes, it was a little strange for both of them. Lore activated her jetpack and made her way towards the top of the building. I see now. Their plan was to get Lore in through the top, and provide a pinch on the remaining guards. I smirked ever so lightly as the other lady who was still upon the ground, fired a couple rounds at the guards that were leaving the entrance after not having a response from the men I had killed.

She had hit them fairly hard. Not sure if it was a kill considering I didn't see everything from her own prospective, and sightline.

"Go wide to your right, and I will take left. Move in from cover to cover if you can."

While it was directed towards the lass on the ground, I did see that Lore made it onto the top of the building. She would have to find her own way in, and deal with whatever she found along the way there mostly alone for now. I pushed forward. Vaulting over my own barricade and rushing to the next one. Keeping my eyes on the doors to make sure that I was aware if being shot at or not.

The idea of the almost, command I gave to the woman was to keep each other away from one another. The guards would have to fight on two fronts, and change sightlines to get both of us, or split up themselves.

[member="Loreena Arenais"]. [member="Beth Australis-Mantis"].

[member="Loreena Arenais"] was awesome and she was excited that they had a good working plan. Granted, she wasn't entirely sure how it was all going to work out. And with the mysterious [member="Atheus Voidwalker"] appearing, she was slightly cautious but optimistic. He wouldn't have helped this far if he was here for nefarious reasons, right?

In a blink of an eye, Lori was gone and over the roof. And then... Disappeared. Maybe she found a way in? That would help! They could take on the outside, maybe get to the container then get through. She just hoped that they could keep the slaves safe and get them out. They didn't deserve what was happening to them. Plus, she saw kids mixed in with them. Stupid slavers...

Beth nodded and gave a thumbs up to Atheus. She went wide, shooting her blaster as she ran and ducked between barricades, broken down hovercraft, and other various large items. The area was a trash zone and she could only assume that the area barely had any authority enforcement. At least, she couldn't even imagine people actually living here. That was good because no civilians would get in the way. It was bad because the place smelled something awful.

In either case, it didn't take too long before they were at the entrance. The slaves had all went in through there, guided by the guards that now lay either dead or unconscious on the ground. Beth nibbled her lip as she tried to open the locked, vaulted door. "I'm not sure how we can get this open..." It seemed thick. She didn't have a grenade or any type of explosive to destroy the locked door. She glanced towards Atheus, seeking his opinion. Or kark, maybe Loreena made it through and would be open to open it from the other side!

Zrimmir smiled when he learned of [member="Darben Skirae"]'s visit, so he knew the beauty of Cato Neimoidia, and he replied to that before Skirae made his farming questions, "Perhaps I could host you for a weekend on my home planet, I do have many connections and my own home is quite a, pleasure palace, if you are ever interested."

Zrimmir nodded along for a second before answering, "I myself do not farm, however the farms we are going to see are a special grain, Reesu, which bloom in a quite beautiful color this time of year." Zrimmir checked the cockpit to see if they had arrived, and they had.

Screen_Shot_2018_06_16_at_9_49_25_PM.png
The shuttle came to a stop on a platform, overlooking the path where most of the Harvesting Beetles passed through. Zrimmir stepped off and gestured from Skirae to join him, "If you are a man of fine tastes, you will most definitely enjoy this view, Minister."

Closing the gap between the barricades and obstructions between myself and the main doors to the facility, I could see that the other lass was closing in while firing over the distance. It seemed that the guards were not wanting to come out. Smirking lightly under the mask covering my face, This lass really seemed to be interesting in this operation. All smiley and eccentric. That may just be who she is, yet finding it quite annoying at the moment. We had a job to do. Her? Give thumbs up and take actions that killing someone was of no consequence to her. It seemed these men and women guards meant little to nothing to her. Shaking my head as she began to inspect the door, I kept my rifle trained on the bodies. Making sure they were not moving.

Seeing the hand of one man twitch ever so little, I pressed my foot down hard upon his chest. Holding the barrel end of the rifle direct at the gap in his neck. Pressing the hot barrel down to see if he really passed on to the next life, or just playing us for fools. His face scrunched in pain as I then fired a round. As much as I would rather let the man live, his allowance of living could jeopardize the mission at hand. The lass turned her head and looked at me with a question. She was unable to open the door. I sighed ever so slightly.

"Get behind me if you value your limbs."

Waiting until she was well out of the blast radius, the rifle was thrown over my shoulder. The magnetic claps grabbing the rifle and held it against me. I righted myself to stand square in front of this vaulted doorway. Closing of the eyes, with hands coming together as though they held an invisible ball. Within a few blinks of an eye, A mass of purple and black swirling energy grew rapidly within my grasp. I held onto this strength, this power for a moment longer. Letting its power grow unstable. Extending my right hand, The orb of pure destructive energy floated along with it. Hand beginning to shake violently as I released it upon the door.

The crack of the orb breaking the sound barrier with a flash. Leaving my hand and blowing through the vault door. The orb itself vaporized an area three times it's own size in the shape of a hole in said door. The remains was the door, and large portions of the wall around it were ripped asunder from its placement. The concussive wave of energy that followed it ripped the door away from it's hinges and the locks. Continuing through the next couple of walls.

Letting my hand drop, I drew my rifle as I faced the girl who I was allied with at the moment.

"I believe the term is, Ladies first?"

[member="Beth Australis-Mantis"], [member="Loreena Arenais"],

"We share your enthusiasm, your Majesty," Senator Bella bowed her head and took a step backward, a wide smile on her face. The feeling that she had done something good for her people warmed her heart, and though she could not express it in words, it radiated from her like a bright light. The others whispered to each other expectantly, excited to hear what would come next. Their agreement with Commenor was all but complete- they would join peacefully, lose nothing to bitter war, and come out with Economic stimulus to boot.

Everyone was a winner.

Phaygus moved to sit next to Alkor, notably a head shorter. "It appears you need not speak a word on our behalf today," the plump man snickered, knowing that his old friend was not a talker. "But, it seems we are in good hands. Just like you said."

The Mandalorian grunted noncommittally.

"You don't visit the facilities enough," pouted Illyns as he turned to look Alkor in the eye. "Have you stopped caring how we conduct business?"

"No," Alkor smirked, "but we'll talk about that later. For now, focus on this situation. Your people are going to want to celebrate their new alliances, and I'm sure your new allies are going to want to know you better."

"As you say, Master Alkor," Phaygus tittered playfully, "we will talk more later."

"Ma'am," Alkor rose from his seat and regarded [member="Lady Kay"] with a nod. "Glad to hear everyone got what they wanted here. That said, I know you're a mostly peaceful bunch, but you ever need any weapons or war droids, Balmorran Arms has got you covered. We'll cut you a deal, even."

Phaygus snorted. "What a good poster boy," he moved quickly and shoved Alkor to the side. "Of course, we will be happy to provision your defense forces with whatever they deem necessary for the defense of our world."

He side eyed Alkor and shook his head. "Come now," he chided, "we can't go around trying to sell things to allies."

Alkor shrugged helplessly.

After a while doing ergonomic assessments on the employees who still worked there despite the criminal negligence charges laid against their employer, where the ghastly state of the furniture is made all too clear, as well as the fireproofing, the bill comes due. Sure, the assessments are billed on 3/20, n/90 terms, thanks to the bulk discount, but the main question that remains is: will it be paid in cash, in goods, services or in equity? The Jawa produced an invoice for the assessments, to be both sent electronically and also as a hardcopy; the courts would probably prefer a hardcopy over an electronic version. Once the billing was made, he went to the accounts payable and receivable department, which he just assessed a few minutes ago, presenting them the bill for the ergonomic assessments they just got performed, knowing that typically ergonomic assessments ordered as part of court orders required the client to keep several copies: one for the courts and another one for their own records. Then and only then the Jawa could ask about the payment method.

"How do you intend to pay for the assessments?"

"I'd probably have to say in equity"

Bradshaw Ku

Crown Prince of Commenor
Objective: 4
Post: 4

Shorty beeped a knowing chuckle from the back.

Bradshaw’s features contorted into a confused mess of smirk and cringe. Caedyn was of course right, he had been lectured more times than he could count. Not only from Veiere, but their Mother, and just about everyone else he ever met. For good reason too, but there’d be no lectures to come from his joke about never letting their Mother know about inviting Caedyn to join him on the mission. This time, it really was just a joke, he wouldn’t think of lying to [member="Lady Kay"] about something like that now. Besides, the kid was right again, Kay had grown more lenient about all of them getting into sticky situations. He suspected she knew the invaluable experience those incidences could impart in such a violent and chaotic galaxy.

The smirk came from joining his younger brother in the humor in his reminding him of all those lectures, but the cringe crept in once the younger Prince suggested, and not for the first time, that he teach him “more of that stuff”. ‘That stuff’ of course being the way he’d spent much of his life growing up after running away from home all those years ago; smuggling, outlaw life, and a reckless disregard for everything.

There was a not so distant time when Bradshaw would have happily done so with few qualms. Not anymore.

“Heh. Yeah, I did used to get into a lot of trouble. You know Veiere, always a fan of a good, or long, lecture…” he said in a somewhat uncomfortable, reminiscent tone. The Veiere he and his siblings knew had been lost, in more than one way, while he had been away training.

He still couldn’t understand what had happened, and maybe he never would. But it taught him two lessons. The first was that no matter all the learned reading, meditation, and strenuous training he’d undertaken for nearly two years, all that so-called wisdom and strength was not up to the task of finding out what the man, who he’d always considered the rock and light of the family, had done while he’d been away. It didn’t seem to help him much when trying to process his feelings about it, certainly not when doing that with others in his family. Though, he knew it was important to do just that. Knowing and doing were two different things.

The second lesson was that, no amount of lifelong devotion to the light, training, or wisdom could ever make anyone impervious to being consumed by the dark side. If it could happen to Veiere, it really could happen to anyone.

“But all - ‘that stuff’ - isn’t something to aspire too”, he continued after a pregnant pause following mention of Veiere. “I started learning all that when I was younger than you. It wasn’t much of a choice. I was alone, hurt, and confused and I stayed that way, or at least didn’t realize I wasn’t, for far too long. All that stuff makes for a lot of good stories, but it can also hurt a lot of other people, even yourself.” He’d started learning all that stuff when he was just a kid once he’d run away from home after his first adopted father and Kay’s first husband had been killed by a Sith during the same attack that also left Kay nearly dead.

He looked down at the map on his viewscreen. They didn’t have far to go, but the tunnel was so tight in places that they slowed to a crawl at points. It now appeared it might’ve been faster to walk the whole thing, but they were too deep in now to do it any differently.

“I’ll leave the lectures to Veiere and Mom though. They’ve had a lot more practice. I do have to admit, if you’re careful about how you deploy all ‘that stuff’ it can come in handy,” he said, putting on a more chipper tone.

“Yeah, I suppose they do like all that fighting and killing and stuff. At least, that’s what the Galaxy thinks of them.” He said in response to Caedyn’s sheepish response to his suggesting he should impress Beth with his new ace flying story. “To be honest, my couple experiences with Mando bounty hunters didn’t suggest any different,” he laughed, “but then again, they were bounty hunters, so it wasn’t like they were going to be big into pacifism and humanitarian practices. I have a feeling there’s a lot more to them than all that, though.”

Shorty let rip a suggestive whistle.

Bradshaw muted his connection with [member="Caedyn Arenais"] for a moment, “Ahaha...You dirty droid. Watch it there, that’s my little brother you’re talking about. What’s Ben been teaching you? -No. No, don’t answer that. I don’t think he’s afraid of her, even if she is a Mando. But sure, I’ll ask him… but not like that…”

He unmuted the channel. “So, Shorty wants to know when you’re going to finally ask
[member="Beth Australis-Mantis"] out on a date? And don’t try to squirm around the question. It’s me you’re talking to, besides, even the droids know you want to. You’re not afraid she could beat you up, are you?”

Kay-Larr

Sphaera Tea Company Owner
Kay smiled as everything was working out so well. There were no assassination attempts, no armies set out to stop them. One would just have to listen to note that there weren't even any protests. It was wonderful.

Her attention was then turned to Phaygus and [member="Alkor Centaris"] as they went through a bit of an exchange. It made her wonder how long the two had known eachother. They seemed to know eachother's personalities well enough. Yet it was enough to make her smile and to feel good about this decision.

Yes, Balmorra would make a fine addition to the CSA.

The suggestion of weapons and battle droids piqued her interest. "We are peaceful yes, and have yet to be waged in war, but that doesn't mean that we shouldn't be prepared. I'm sure that you have much to offer to bolster our defences. And of course our own will help to bolster yours should you wish it. This isn't an occupation, afterall. This is a partnership."

And one that she had hoped would last for quite some time.

Lori searched the roof, looking for another way into the building. Aha!! A skylight! She hurried over there and removed her goggles so thatshe could peer down below. Inside she could see cages with people inside f them. Some had dozens or so. Such a sight caused her to frown as upon further inspection she had spotted younglings in the cages as well. That was so not fair! She tried to imagine what it would be like to be trapped in such a way or sold as though she was property, but it was rather difficult. Even while training with [member="Jaster of Clan Awaud"] and the other Mandalorians, she was still treated better than the average person. More than likely it was due to being a Princess and of who her parents were.

Regardless, she lifted the latch and unlocked the skylight, hoisting it up so that shecould climb onto the rafters below. It was a little difficult, as her jetpack got in the way a bit, but she didn't want to remove it incase she fell. That would've been horrible.

But then there was an explosion which caused the building to shake. Lori barely caught a grip in time and held on. The people inside of the cages screamed. Once the shaking subsided, she turned on her jetpack and jumped off, letting the the thrusters ease her decent until she was down on the ground in between the cages. Dust hung in the air due to the explosions by [member="Atheus Voidwalker"] . She brought out her blaster and started firing stun bolts at the remaining two guards. Hopefully [member="Beth Australis-Mantis"] was okay.

So far this little adventure was fun!

Beth had no sympathy for slavers. She never had and she never would. She had heard stories from people close to her, like Cassiopeia, who's family was slaughtered and a brother still missing (probably dead, in truth.) Maybe it was the way she was raised - trapped in orphanages or homeless, not cared for. Or maybe it was the Mandalorian way - slavery was detested in the Empire.

As such, Beth was more than willing to do what she could to help save the people who had been herded like cattle into cages. Especially considering they had children. Her biggest concern was if they got caught in the crossfire.

She was still cautious of [member="Atheus Voidwalker"]. He had shown up at an opportune time, with no real indication of who he was or why he was here. Sure, they were momentarily allied, and she could only assume they wouldn't be enemies. But she still prepared herself in case he ended up being unsavory.

She nodded at his request, getting far back as she waited for the door to explode. It seemed he knew what he was doing and soon the door was ripped off. He offered her to go first, with a ladies first remark. She normally would have smiled, or did something else, but her eyes caught the scene in front of her - at least a couple dozen sentients, locked in cages. Kids, too.

Beth immediately got gut-punched with emotions. She frowned, her long ears drooping down. There were screams, cries, and the emotional intensity of the room was terrifying. She thought she saw [member="Loreena Arenais"] fly down, but there was still some dust looming in the air so she couldn't exactly tell.

Beth regrouped herself after a couple seconds, feeling slightly sick at seeing the people caged as they were before she took off, running towards them. "We gotta get them out of here," she said to the man. She was careful and had her blaster ready, just in case any of the slavers tried to get to her first. But so far, so good. She stopped at the first caged gate and began to mess with the lock, trying to get it off.

"We're here to get you out of here, don't worry. We're here to help, okay?" She tried to give her best-encouraging smile.

Objective 4: Hunkering down on Humbarine.
Apparel: Spacer Attire.
Starfighter: Luke Skywalker's X-Wing.

"...when you’re going to finally ask Beth Australis-Mantis out on a date?".
Caedyn blinked, an audible cough coming abruptly through [member="Bradshaw Ku"]'s Comm-Unit as he physically choked on thin air, sudden and immense shock and awe his immediate reaction to just how forward and nosey his older Brother was suddenly being. "I....Uh..." Caedyn frowned, glancing down at the mic as if his brother might be able to see the confusion and soon to follow thoughtful albeit a little dumbfounded expression coming over him; "I dunno. I mean...I've never done something like that before...".

Caedyn somehow managed to keep the X-Wing steady and in-line behind Brad's as they continued on through the underground complex, the massive hangar having been quite incredible before they'd taken on into the next junction, the odd bit of blaster-fire being thrown at them as they flew over armed personnel, nothing but raiders and slavers, criminals who didn't have the real means to penetrate their hull, let alone their shields.

"And I'm pretty sure she can't beat me. She got the jump on me once but she's seen the way I use the Force...-And I've saved her twice now from getting into trouble...-Maybe even three times?" He'd sort of lost count honestly, though it wasn't that kind of stuff that mattered to him as opposed to the fact that he never wanted to see her get hurt.

"What do you think I should do?" a pause followed before he added warily, as though his next point was so obvious, "I mean, how do I even know if she likes me!".

It was the voice of [member="Beth Australis-Mantis"] that drew Lori through the falling smoke. Now she could see better. "Beth! Are you okay?" She ran over to her, watching as her friend fiddled with the lock. Lori wasn't quite certain who caused the explosion, but she had a feeling that [member="Atheus Voidwalker"] had something to do with it.

"Here. Let me try..." She flicked her blaster off of stun and pointed it right at the lock, leaving just a few inches between them. "Everyone, step back..." The last thing that she needed was for the bolt to ricochet into one of them. But as she pulled the trigger and fired, the bolt dissapated into the lock, destroying it.

Lori grinned broadly and pried it off, stepping to the side as she ushered people through. "You're free! And the slavers won't hurt you anymore.
So come on. Let's go."

Surely there were shelters and such that they could get to. She knew that her mom and others wouldn't just abandon them.

Beth continued to fiddle on the lock. She didn't want to frighten the poor slaves and her mind wasn't exactly focusing on the obvious thing to do. "We're going to get you guys, don't worry!"

Thankfully, she heard [member="Loreena Arenais"]. She ran over and Beth simply nodded, "Yeah, we're okay. [member="Atheus Voidwalker"] did this thingy that blew the door open. Was a bit messy, but it worked!" She stepped back as Lori blasted the lock, which opened the cage's door. Beth nodded, "Awesome!" She began motioning for the slaves towards the door.

She looked towards Lori, "There is a transport hidden a couple blocks down. We can guide them there and get them in, and we can all get off the world together!" She began to walk carefully beside several of the starved, weak looking slaves. Hopefully, there was water and food inside the transport too. "I'm so glad we ran into each other, Lori!"

Plus, walking with them to the ship would keep them safe in case any other slavers tried to get them. She had a feeling they'd leave them alone by now, but... Still.

It was quite the reunion for these two it seemed. Friends at the very least. They worked well from what I had seen so far. They made quick work of the slaves. I would have likely messed it up somehow as I normally did. However, as the woman, Beth, mentioned that I was the one who caused the explosion, and how it was a bit messy, I shook my head with a sigh.

"It's called Destruction. An ability that can vaporize just about anything standing in it's path. Hence my warning of your limbs before performing the act."

The two were complimenting eachother. Typical teenager women. I couldn't roll my eyes any harder, or they would end up rolling out of my head. However, As they began to open up some of the locks, I flicked my wrist. Many of the locks snapped opened all at once. Kind of helps with telekinesis, and studies of technology. Despite this, Many walked past me without much of a word. Likely from my force sensitivity and the skills I had shown so far, I was quite daunting in their eyes compared to the armored lasses.

"Loreena, Next time you see your mother, Let her know that Atheus sends his regards."

I bowed my head a moment. Making my own path out of the building along with the freed people from their shackles and cages. I drew my rifle from my back. Taking a few jogging steps forward before making my way away from the two.

While they would be guiding those they had freed, It was best option for me to go through the rooftoops. Make sure that there were no others on our tail, nor any who happened to think about playing "hero." Scaling the wall, I clambered onto the top of the roof. Adjusting my mask just a bit to fit more comfortable from its shifting, and made my way across the tops of the city.

[member="Beth Australis-Mantis"], [member="Loreena Arenais"],

Lori grinned. She was glad that she ran into [member="Beth Australis-Mantis"] too. The two worked well together, even for inexperienced teens like themselves. Maybe it was because they were getting similar training by the same people. Either way, it was a good thing.

Her eyes were drawn to [member="Atheus Voidwalker"] as he made all of the locks open and fall to the floor, allowing all of the slaves to become free. If he could do that...why did he have to use Destruction? She kept that thought to herself though.

"I will! And thanks Atheus!" Hopefully he was a good friend to her mom. Hopefully he wasn't some kind of enemy.

Lori helped usher the slaves as Beth told her where they were going. She adjusted the jetpack on her back. "That's great, Beth! All of the people will get to safety while Mom's people deal with the slavers. It's a win win! I'll let her know that you helped! Maybe...maybe you could get a medal or something! Wouldn't that be awesome?" In her mind it was, at least.

With Atheus keeping watch, the slaves were safely escorted to the transport and regained their freedom.
