So, I've been thinking the past couple days about starting some kind of faction for Dark Jedi. Right now, I'm torn between a couple different ideas, all of which seems equally interseting to me... So I thought I would bring the discussion to the community, particularly the other DJ's, to see what the rest of you think.
Option 1 - CURRENTLY: DJ's kind of just go where they want with factions. This makes sense. After all, DJ's are more "lone wolf" types, looking out for number one. Not necessarily evil, but not good either. I would personally define a Dark Jedi as a "Suvivalist". The intruige here is that there is dissention among them, that they are a group of people that are not bonded by their name as any other faction might be. So, it could be left how it currently is.
Option 2 - ALTERNATE IDEA #1: If there was a faction, here is what I was thinking: Pirates. The galaxy is in remission after a state of chaos from the plague. It is more dangerous now than it ever was before, and sacrifices have to be made for survival. The idea for this faction is that many DJs (and any others who may wish do join, as I do not plan on leaving it exclusive to DJ's or Force users) have realized than they may be stronger together than apart. The entire concept behind this faction would be survival. A group of people who may not like each other all the time, agree with one another about everything, etc, but have decided to band together and help one another in an effort to better protect themselves and their loved ones. It would truly be a rag tag group, that would be run by a hierarchy based on power and reputation.
Option 3 - ALTERNATE IDEA #2: Rather than making this a faction, do something more subtle like a "brotherhood", where members are recognized by a disctinctive tattoo of some kind. This would give them more of a Mandalorian type of culture, where they all have their different jobs with different factions that may oppose each other but, as Ashin so put it, "Lived side by side at home and had no problems".
Personally, after much discussion with a couple different people, I think I lean more toward option 2 than the others, but the truth is I like all three ideas. So, I wanted to open this up to the community for discussion and see what the interest is.
Sooooooo thoughts?
