Potential Alliance with CIS

Kitt Solo

I'm open to the idea if we can still fight OP or the Republic(if provoked by the Pubs).

But what can they seriously offer us? Would they give up a planet for us with an advantageous location? (I'd have to look at the map to see if that's an option)

I know they're allied with the Republic, I don't recall them having an alliance with the Protectorate. Unless some OOC arrangement was made.

Well, Rostu once did a thread with Ayden...which consisted of Rostu trying to claim the Axis was forced on CIS by evil Fringe and the Sith Empire and Ayden delivering a tirade.

How tough is CIS presently and what can they offer? For the duration before either of us breaks whatever agreement we might make.

Neutral Non-Agression Pact.

If they want to prove their dedication by helping in Eriadu, and show us some heart let them. I can tell you the reason they want an alliance is they think after Eriadu we're gunning for THEM.

It's a pre-emptive protective mechanism. It also makes little sense for their alliance with the Republic AND the Fringe. They might have a council, but so far look at the track record OF that council. Until that council is acting on the Seven and not the One, I say NAP.

I was put under the impression OOCly, very very very strongly by Tefka that Guy is NOT the one you should be talking to at all concerning leadership responsibility or decisions dealing with CIS and that it is Feena you should be talking to.

I do not know if this still holds true, but you would be best to cover your ass by speaking with Feena, as I believe that she is the one who is actually in charge (unless she recently gave up that spot).

Feena is officially leading, and Vorhi handles a lot of diplomacy. Guy still likes doing things his way when possible from what I've seen, admittedly.

The Admiralty
Guy recently went on a LOA, permanent or temporary; who knows. So yeah, per default it's Feena you are talking to.

I say, it restricts our movements to much; while not giving us much in return.

Well, looks like some of the clones left CIS because they were upset that the CIS did not stand by their agreements with aiding the Republic and her allies... which are OP.

So... Not sure where this leaves the CIS at, but i know there is quite an upheaval over in CIS about just where the faction is going and what the members want.

As of now, about five of their most active writers left, the bulk of them the clones to include the Former Grand Marshal.

I say the drama is not worth it; and just pursue the war we have currently going on now with OP and Reps.

Feena is the one to talk to, period. She and I have been quietly talking closer relations for a while now.

Again, let me emphasize that we already have formal neutrality, a non-aggression pact, and free trade with CIS. Many people feel that's enough, and I might be one of them.

While we're on the topic of allies-

What's the official stance concerning The Horde? Is Fringe allied with them or not? Cause I'm being told it is and it wasn't something I was aware.

Admittedly I don't tend to look very far back in this forum's thread history so I may have missed that announcement.

@[member="Lord Dissero"] When the Horde were minor, they were affiliated with the Fringe. Not sure on the status of this now, considering they want to burn the galaxy, Fringe worlds included.

I have it on good authority (my own) that your friendly neighbors of Moross are looking to curb-stomp them and would be much appreciative of any help the Fringe cares to offer. Some of you are already aware of this, naturally.

I have it on good authority that the feeling is mutual. Fireworks. Should be tops.

I wouldn't think that the Fringe would back one side, specifically, but I think that anyone is free to support either side as long as the Fringe isn't mentioned. That's just a safe guess, however.
