Potential Allies.

I have been approached with a possible alliance with the Covenant of the Black Rose following their split from the now fracturing One Sith.

This raises my question.

Do we want to align with people?
Who are our enemies?
What do we as a faction want to do in this situation?

I've been mulling over this question myself. I've come to the following conclusion, based upon who we would be best allies with, and likewise who would be willing to ally with us:

Super Best Friends Tier (strong potential)
The Galactic Empire

Maybe Tier (moderate potential)
Covenant of the Black Rose?
Mandalorians?
Primeval?

Untermensch Tier (questionable/uncertain potential - probably a waste of time)
Techno Union
One Sith?

Profligate Tier (fire at will)
The Republic
Silver Sanctum
Galactic Alliance

In my opinion our first order of business should be establishing a relationship with the Galactic Empire. Yeah, I know - they're the "other" Imperial faction, who we're kind of competing with, but really. They should be our friends from an IC perspective. We're after the same goals, after all.

That brings us to the other Dark Side factions. Covenant is an interesting proposition, but that friendship would come at a price, possibly putting us on the One Sith's radar. Depends if we want to draw that kind of heat this early. Then again, a few of us are One Sith dropouts, which they don't exactly like very much, so the possibility of an alliance with them might be off the table anyway. And then there's the Primeval. I don't really know what they're about, so all I can say about them is... I don't know.

Okay, I'm just not sure about the Galactic Empire. In the opinion of the First Order I can't see us supporting a faction we consider to be false version of what we are?

When it comes to the One Sith...We just saw them declare a good portion of their writer base as traitors and most of us are ex-One Sith. I myself was one of the sector commanders of the Sith Fleet, they won't want to be friends. That alone gives us credence with the Black Rose. Even if just for the initial protection while we aid them.

Mando's are a viable option to reach out to as are the Primeval considering they have started to clash with the Galactic Alliance who are seeming to be our main rival due to their closeness.

I also want to reach out to the Hutt Cartel, don't know why but could be fun.

Primeval (they would be interested, although they are allies with OS)
Techno Union (they are going through a leadership change so it might be good to align with them now)

Maybe Tier (moderate potential)
Covenant of the Black Rose? (We would definitely be on the negative OS radar if we aligned with them)
Mandalorians? (problem is that Mandos hate the Prime)
Galactic Empire (not against aligning with them although we'd probably break off at some point)

Untermensch Tier (questionable/uncertain potential - probably a waste of time)

The more I think on it, the more I open the idea of supporting the Galactic Empire...for now.
Their activity is pretty minimal and I am afraid of any competition for members...but yeah, they have the potential for allies.

The One Sith are falling further and further from grace, they are fragmenting and as long as we don't overly annoy them they should keep to their own little battles with the Republic and soon to major Alliance.

Yeah, OS is an utter shit show right now, so hopefully we can use that to our advantage.

Based upon your points, I see no big deal in accepting the Covenant's offer for an alliance. Meanwhile, we can figure out what we want to do about the Galactic Empire.

The reason why I classified Techno Union as untermensch (lol) is because their faction description is basically that of an uber-capitalist libertarian technocracy or something. They mentioned somewhere how they don't like dictatorships, which made me think they wouldn't jive well with us.

Techno Union doesn't like dictatorships, but I think that distaste is outweighed by their love of money. Natasi has a close friendship with a leader there (Ardik) so if you need some negotiating or feeling-out done, do let me know and I'll set something up.

Anyway, allying with the OS is not in our best interest. I don't know much about this Black Rose group. Who are they? What are they?

Techno Union would be a good ally from an IC standpoint as we can use their IC technological know how to our advantage, and we can slowly worm our way into taking over their banking, and thus subsequently take them over as part of our continued efforts at constructing order in the galaxy.

I think the three most have listed as our enemies are pretty obvious.
