Races: Turpe are Praelior who are found to be unworthy, and sentenced to a life of slave labor. Crimes that can lead to turpe status include: refusing to become a warrior, desertion, unnecessary retreat from battle, murder, and breaking the Lex.
Estimated Population: 6 billion, found only on Castellum.
Diet: Praelior commonly eat a small rodent called the pusili. Cubed slices of their meat are eaten with grains, as well as fruit to ensure a Praelior is well nourished.

Religion
The Praelior have a pantheon of six gods and goddesses, with the Imperator of the Praelior Imperium being their vessel. They are as follows:
Terminus- The god of warfare. Praelior pray to Terminus before going into battle, requesting that many enemies fall to their blades, and to have an honorable death in glorious battle.
Hannam- The goddess of love. Praelior wishing to court a mate pray for Hannam's blessing, and to have many strong children.
Funus- The god of death. At funerals, Praelior pray to Funus for the dead to make the safe journey to Caelum, their version of an afterlife paradise, where fallen warriors engage in an eternal battle against the forces of the Void, the enemies of their gods.
Inven- The goddess of discovery. When encountering something foreign or new, Praelior ask for Inven's guidance and understanding to help them.
Lustra- The goddess of debauchery. When wishing to have a good time, Praelior toast to Lustra, requesting her assistance in avoiding hangovers or other consequences of debaucherous activities.
Gloria- The goddess of honor. When faced with a difficult decision, Praelior pray to Gloria, asking for her guidance.
The Force
While rare, it does sometimes occur that a Praelior is born with sensitivity to the Force. The Praelior Imperium officially condemns those with the Curse, and either order them killed, or crippled to ensure they are no longer a threat.
An inquisition known as the Vigilant was formed to deal with Force Sensitives several thousand years ago, and still polices the Imperium to this day.
Warriors
To be a warrior is every Praelior's dream. From birth, they are raised to believe that to fight for the Imperium is the only honorable way to live. From the moment they are capable, Praelior children are trained in the ways of a warrior. Those who are found to be incapable are sentenced to a lifetime of hard physical labor as turpe.
Lex
The Lex is the code of honor all Praelior live by. It includes fighting for the Imperium, honoring the gods, staying loyal, fulfilling debts, and never abandoning one's brothers and sisters. Those that break the Lex are either killed or sentenced to a life of slavery.
Gender Roles
Male and female Praelior are treated exactly the same. Each have the same opportunities and honors, the only exception being females allotted temporary leave from active duty to raise children.
Government
The Praelior Imperium is headed by the Imperator, who claims their bloodline was chosen to lead by the gods thousands of years ago. The Imperator has a small Council to guide him, consisting of military, political, economic, scientific, and religious advisors.
Below the Imperator and his Council, Imperium territory is divided into fiefs, ruled by warlords known as Dominus, who report directly to the Imperator. Depending on the policies of the current Imperator, the Dominus have varying levels of control over their fief.
