(Private) Meeting a master

[member="Karraala"]

Wu looked at her as she sat there and motioned with a hand letting herself slip into a small thing when she was speaking. The Salutation to the Force, a combination exercise and meditative posture that started with a body arch upward, followed by a deep squat and leg extended stretch to the rear. The jedi master lay upon the soft grass, rolled up onto her neck and shoulders, and extended her body skyward, her hands on the ground at her sides. Hands and feet on the ground, Wu pushed upward and formed her body into a high rounded arch. The movements as she remained there and extended skyward her leg pulling her body into a handstand. Arch, laser, rock and back to arch when she remained there in the grass and shadow of a tree. "I have trained a few but I came into the jedi order as a diplomat from my people. Grandmaster Sorel welcomed me and the other Jin who had come but to learn basic I needed to learn how to read some of the intentions of the people around me or what they were going through."

Karraala watched master Wu do the exercise, tilting her head, left ear drooping. Her slitted pupils following the bodies twists and arches. She guessed they were meant to keep the body mobile and nimble. She knew similar exercises from home. After a moment of observation, the Karta'Esh attempted to imitate the movements.

At the mention of Wu Yeoh-Mei learning basic, the padawans expression lit up: "Oh yes, I practiced basic with a book that the captain gave our house as a present. It was a speaking book, and it showed me pictures that just appeared on the page. The captain also practiced with me on the flight here." The girl spoke, glad about having something she and her master seemed to have in common.

"The houses first is a learned man who owns many books. He compared the speaking book with old tomes. The language the humans on our planet spoke when they first arrived must have been connected to basic, if it wasn't the same language outright. But it has been such a long time, that the language must have changed. Did you know it can do that?"

Karraala asked with a smile, seemingly amazed by the idea. "Is your language very different from basic? Ro'u is."

She looked at her and the padawan was in a similar situation as she had been. "Yes it is very different, basic is well basic as I am learning. The jin's launguage is only half it is also in our expressions and movement. A lauguage in motion as it were compared to just where you can just speak the actions." She said it but remained there in the one pose stretching herself out but she wasn't uncomfortable in the position... just letting ehr mind ease into it and expand outwards.

Karraala attempted to mimic master Wu's pose. Her own was not perfect, but a good approximation. She was used to training her body and self control.The tail helped, too.

"Expression and movement, A'e. Though I have seen body language in others, too. And at home it is normal for Karta'esh and Human'esh alike." She wriggled her ears to emphasize. "One can tell the mood of a Karta'esh by their ears. It does not work with humans though." She winked at Wu Yeoh-Mei quite humanlike.

She laughed to that a little for a moment though as she finally came out fo the pose and sat there. Her body stretched out. "it is helpful I imagine but my people don't have much to worry about and most of these humans are just that human. Their means of communication is limited so it makes it easier... the real trick is figuring out how some of the masters are really thinking with all of their mental shields." She sat there extending her legs outwards and touching her toes. "But this is what matters most, finding a calmness and inner peace to allow yourself to hear the force."

When [member="Wu Yeoh-Mei"] sat down, Karraala did the same. "This whole place seems to encourage calmness." She pulled off her boots, setting them aside. "I could feel it the moment I entered the temple." The girl stretched her legs, arms and tail. The claws on each toe and finger slipped out for a moment as she stretched before she relaxed her muscles again and found a comfortable position to lounge in. "It's quite different to the rest of this country. I mean... of this world."
The slip up showed her once more that she still was not getting used to the whole situation. But right now, it didn't matter, she felt at ease here.

"I guess..." She said after a few moments, "leaders everywhere need to put on masks in order to lead. They don't show their true feelings to their subjects. Sometimes not even to their closest and most trusted persons. My father can be like that sometimes." Her ears flickered in amusement. "But my mother always gets him to drop the mask with just a word and a look. At least at home, he can be himself." A soft purr escaped her throat. As her thoughts started wandering, it turned into humming a tune under her breath. It was a song from home.

SHe gave a nod to that and there was something they would be able to do. "That is one way to look at it... here on Kashyyyk it is calm to a point. There are other temples though. The three daughters is a temple that travels around a river system within three islands... hard to find and get to with all of the dangerous creatures but you are able to learn survival skills from the jedi there and Karrashiuri temple is the oldest on the planet. FOunded by some of the prime jedi and built over a temple from the planet itself."

"Oh I can take care of myself in the wild." She spoke self assured. "A floating temple sounds really interesting though. I'd like to see that one day." She leaned back onto her elbows. "Just out of curiosity. What kind of dangerous creatures are out there? I mean, is it worse than a wild boar trying to slice up your belly? Or rather a fire breathing dragon?" The last part was said in a joking voice.

She nodded. "It isn't quite floating... more built into the massive trees and above an older temple. It is more like a small city that the jedi have had for centuries here with the wookiees." A nod of her head when she rose up though and rotated her body, stretching herself out with a grin. "As for the predators who are on the world.well the creatures within the layers of the shadowlands vary but most will try and eat you if you stray to far. The wookiees make and have it be a rite of passage for their children to travel into the shadowlands."
