Strengths:
- For it's size, it can move quite well. However it's not going to out maneuver any fighters, or most other freighters.
- Multiple anti-fighting modules such as flares, mines, maneuvering jets, and even landing claws.
- Landing claws allow for landing on non-liner planes that are flat on a y-axis.
- Has a state of the art training room.
- Does not require more than one person to fly and maintain the ship, even in battle.
- Semi-large cargo hold.
- Having the Pulse ion engines allow it to be more efficient in its fuel use, as well as provide better movement in sublight speeds.
- While it may be quite fast, and having a higher than normal ability to move, it cannot move faster than Fighters, bombers, and some light freighters.
- Not meant for battle. Sure, it has firepower, but only to protect itself. This will not see any full blown fight.... maybe.
- Wings in the back means that the person flying has to take into account that the wings extend many meters more than the cockpit. making it hard to fit in some smaller space ports, and is not likely going to be seen sliding narrowly through gaps.
- Prototype. I am sure there will be failures and maybe some break downs along the way. However, the kinks are being worked out of it. This could mean just about anything that could go wrong, might go wrong.
As Carrison Tech and Fashion has always been about, well, Fashion, Xander wanted to get into the ship field. Making ships on a very rare basis for those who need it. Likely going to be along the lines of only unique or Semi-unique to possible Limited ships. This is to open the field for the Carrison Tech and Fashion. And give way to more developments in technology that could be applied for ships, or for people as they have done in the past.
The reason from a personal prospective to make the ship was for Xander to replace an old Templar-Class ship he has had, and is wearing off. Having it since he was a Knight, it's kind of old, and will likely now only be used for stealth missions, or to use as a getaway ship because The Dawn Treader would be used as his cover. It would also provide a Ship which he can train apprentices, His kids when they are old enough, and himself, or Maya if she would like. It's large enough to fit about two families of five, including a crew of Pilot, Co-pilot, Navigator, and four gunners. However, this ship can be piloted by a single person.
Made out of rather light materials, as well as having other additions such as jets to help with movement, flares, mines, and in last case scenario the ship has landing claws in which can be used to land on cliff faces, or even the side of a large ship. The Dawn Treader is not built, and will likely not be used as a ship in battle. As you can see, the weapons that are installed, can be autonomous. Meaning they will shoot at whatever is labeled as a bad guy. And is more so used for distracting them, and allowing the pilot to focus on getting away instead of fighting back. meaning the use of flares, mines and other such.
