Code Of Silence
Ivory gave a lopsided grin at Daiya's little hand-puppet, glancing toward the Latero was he walked away - then turning her attention back toward the pink-haired young woman as she put her hands up in surrender. Daiya's quickfire wit was always a treat, especially when it wasn't directed toward Ivory herself. At the best of times, Ivory had even learned to egg it on.
She stood a little straighter, clearly taking some pleasure in the recognition that she was heavily-armed & dangerous. Amused, the raven-haired Rebel put on her best dead-eyed stare - which wouldn't last long. "All I need's a reason." She quipped, winking one eye. Toward the departing Latero's back, Ivory mimed her own action - making the sign of a finger-gun pulled from a quick-draw & dropping her thumb, mimicking the falling of a hammer. She accompanied the motion with the sound of a gunshot, muttered under her breath: "Pow"
It was a good thing the squat, bearded Hanger Master didn't turn around at that very moment, or else it might have escalated then & there.
The sudden appearance of Hex and the unmistakeable, short, orange-furred Under Foot drew her attention, and Ivory stood by as Hex & Daiya shared an affectionate greeting. She couldn't help but chuckle at the obvious embarassment written on Daiya's face - knowing full-well that she & the ginger-haired young man got up to much more than what they let on. Cartri Keswoll 's voice rang out from a distance away, and Ivory couldn't help but chuckle.
Sometimes, yeah. They were that bad.
Ivory tilted her chin upward and gave the signal of a "V" with two fingers in a universal greeting toward the Squib before turning her attention toward the large shipping container. The damn thing looked dented, covered in rust, and entirely unfit for storing anything - much less water.
"You're gonna turn that thin-"
Suddenly, her incredulous question was interrupted by a loud crash. The ground under their feet shook. She turned, seeing that Cartri had rotated the crane too far & struck another with enough force to topple it - then continued to watch from afar as Cartri exchanged "words" with one of the workers. Ivory reached up, pinching the bridge of her nose between two fingers and shaking her head in mock-disappointment before turning to catch the pleading look on Daiya's face. A tiny grunt of laughter escaped from her belly as Cartri asked if they'd seen anything - but Ivory didn't respond right away. Instead, she just watched the young man climb back into his crane with a look of awe on her face.
"Oh, you're not intruding. You know what you're doing. All Cartri is good for is breaking things." Ivory joked, glancing down sideways toward Underfoot.
She turned, glancing behind her toward Ruby Jaxx & Johnny Diamonds - wondering what they thought of the amusing chain of events. She flashed them both a grin and a half-shrug, as-if to say: What can you do?
"Why? Gonna shoot your problems today?" Daiya tipped her chin to point at the weapons strapped loudly to Ivory's person, facing her palms out in surrender as she took a few steps back. "I didn't start it!"

Spinning on her boot heel, Daiya let her shoulder bounce against Hex, pretending as if pocketed hands had hidden her balance away as well. She pointed to the cargo container in front of them with her chin. "We're making it into a pool, where scantily clad's gonna be a rule!"

"I would, but I don't want to, uh... intrude," the Squib answered honestly, even as he glanced over at Cartri Keswoll.
"Do you need help with the cargo loader?"
