Question about arguing with Staff

Ashe the Reaper said:
If you absolutely have to satiate the need to argue - and don't get me wrong, arguing by definition isn't fighting, they're just closely associated, then you should do it either via Skype or by PMing the judge, remaining civil, and making fully clear what it is you think shouldn't be a certain way and a fair case as to why it shouldn't be.

As a matter of fact, if you feel something even might get denied or asked to be changed, it's a good idea to discuss it with them prior to submitting it. They don't bite, trust me.

Oh yeah, and sass. Sass will be the bane of your existence....
All true, but as a warning to everybody reading this thread, what you say in PM's and on skype does count for how we view your submission. Getting argumentative with us outside a submission is just as bad as doing it in the sub. Also please don't use PM's or Skype to pester us to look at your sub. We're often busy or tired and often working on something else. A gentle 'hey it's been a few days' is okay, but not every few hours.

I'm Sexy and I Know It
Just a couple of fun facts and advice:

- When in doubt, ask. We don't bite and we might be able to help you out more than you thought.
- Judges love the middle ground. We try to meet you in the middle when we can. The absolute best way I've been able to work with the factory and within it is when I or someone else approaches an FJ and asks "I want it to do this, how can I do that and balance it appropriately?" If you do that, you're already ahead of the game.
- Don't be sneaky. We know a lot about our areas on the factory forums. We also know a lot about areas in our RL expertise. We all also communicate very frequently. You have [member="Domino"] judging your ship that breaks physics with no explination? [member="Rasho the Hutt"] may be asked for his RL insight on physics. You have one of the Species Judges looking at your new space lizard with Gatorade blood or your new and improved barbed wire implants? Someone's gonna ask me how the kark that works (Spoiler! It doesn't).
- If you get an FJ to look over your submission prefactory, chances are that judge won't touch it in the Factory.

Research Log 6/14/14

Most recent [member="Asemir Lor'kora"] specimen shows capacity for humor indicative of free will. Must find root cause of continued individuality flaws in Asemir template before Tef returns from vacation. Considering keeping current subject alive and running a few more tests. Regardless, blank templated clone must be produced soon, to carry on Tyranny Protocol while this one is dissected.

Vanilla coke reserves running low. Note: beat [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] for missing me in the last supply run, and then again for good measure.

If you're arguing with a Factory Judge, all of whom know exactly that it takes to make an approvable factory submission and have the requisite RL knowledge surrounding their particular field, you're probably wrong. Most of the arguments against a Factory Judge's decision that I have read have been laughable at best, cringeworthy at worst.

If you work with Factory judges or RPJ's before the sub, stuff works.

It's seriously that easy, we want you to succeed. Although it is fun to one-shot deny a 30,000 meter long beskar made star destroyer every now and then.
