Question About Saber Colors

Oka Osaa said:
I suppose all that makes sense, but in a way, I think each one should mean something. I was basically wanting to train with force lightning(Oka's a rogue jedi), but not like sith. You know, they use it for pain or that's what its commonly for. But didn't know if colors mattered.
Check this out. :D

That's my point. In my opinion, it's silly and seems too much like a videogame gimmick.

Besides, it's more fun to have your character develop his own power through learning experiences than to 'buy' more power! :D

Thanks :D now I have a thread to make ;)

Just by reading that, it doesn't say much how Plo koon did it but I'll have to get Oka meditating more I suppose. They said Luke was suspected to be able to do this because of long years of meditation and his power in the force. Not saying Oka is equal to him or even close but its possible.

Feel free to join me. (Keep violence down)

I dont know if this has been said before but I believe, "The lightsaber isn't a jedi's real weapon, the force is."

What you say is the truth.

Uh, no. It is against the Jedi beliefs to use the Force as a weapon.
Sith do a lot of stuff against there beliefs and I'm also a rogue jedi so it doesn't matter.

Here: (Doesn't say to not use the force as a weapon, just do not use the force on others unless protecting/fighting the enemy of the light)

Jedi are the guardians of peace in the galaxy.
Jedi use their powers to defend and protect, never to attack others. - Sith usually engage so that's when this comes in.
Jedi respect all life, in any form.
Jedi serve others, rather than rule over them, for the good of the galaxy.
Jedi seek to improve themselves through knowledge and training.

If I remember correctly before the EU was wiped, the other reason that Windu had a purple blade was because as a Padawan, through a series of events he ended up on the world of Hurrikane. He encountered the native species which were a crystaline/rock like beings. I don't remember the exact events, though by the time he was picked up, the Hurrikane species trusted him and gave him a handful of the crystals from their bodies which happened to emit a purple colored blade.

That's how he specifically got his. However, purple blades are often used by users of both dark and light side force powers apparently. Its a representation type thing I suppose, but you got it right :p

I thought certain crystals do help you focus?
They do. There's hundreds of pieces of good canon, including movie canon, that says the Force can reside in inanimate objects with one result or another. Go do some digging on Wookieepedia and you'll start getting a clearer picture.
