Question for the Enclave experts

I'm assuming the Enclave is the Republic's Jedi Order and if so, is this still valid?

1. Only PCs are able to hold government positions. Force Users are now allowed to participate in government, but they must disavow the Jedi Order or any other FU organizations before doing so. No PC from another major faction may serve in any position.

Does this mean Cath is not allowed to participate in the Enclave, in training and training her own Apprentices eventually? In a structured organization... she could self-train or train others in a Rogue aspect I would think.

[member="Cath Lorr"] Good question. You're not barred from using the facilities of the Enclave or Academy, but you cannot hold any positions within the Jedi Order or other FU organizations while serving as Home Secretary.

At the moment the enclave is a force training school, from it when you approach graduation you have a chance to continue on into the jedi order or you can remain there and learn as a neutral. For holding position it is more leadership. The jedi have taken control of the senate before by being able to so me and this is my opinion. senators can be trained but senators can't be on the council making decisions or vice versa. Jedi/enclave members aren't going to be running planets and making senate decisions

Got it and thanks for the helpful info. And I'm glad that I can have Cath use the enclave for training.

So question then: what if my senator (Max Rumor of Yutan) wrote a bill to change this and presented it to the Senate.

Could we take it to a vote IC? I've never tried to create a law so first of all that sounds fun and challenging, and then we can let the PC Senators make the decision, whether its a yes or a no?

I'm also willing to write this up right away and generate some Senate RP!

[member="Sheila"] The Enclave is supposed to serve as a home base for the Republic Jedi to train and commune among themselves. The Academy is a separate organization meant to train FUs in a neutral setting, to be later reintegrated into society upon their graduation or separation. FUs can choose to go directly to the Enclave to become a Jedi, or indirectly by way of the Academy at any time.

[member="Cath Lorr"] On second thought, hold off on that bill until I revise the original rewrite up for the Enclave and Academy as it was original proposed in previous discussions. I will work on that today.
