Rapture (Extermination of Kaltes)

Stupid.

Nagging.

Message indicator.

Blinking it away, the dropship not even in atmosphere yet, Sarge gave a snarl before ordering it back to the Resolve. The dropship didn't even land, instead opting to lower its ramp enough for Sarge to step out and onto the hangar before gunning the engines to take Squad Uriel back down to the surface. If Dredge was on planet, the Sergeant would find him. Of that he was certain.

Listening to the message, Sarge felt his teeth clench in consternation. "Boost my signal, Lieutenant." The man says, speaking to the bridge crew. Sure enough, his signal would be boosted so [member="Romeo Sin"] could hear him. By the time the man had dropped out of hyperspace, the bombardment had already ceased - it had been used to create a DMZ. Quite literally, Sarge had made a line in the sand on their own world.

He almost hoped someone would try to cross it.

"This is Colonel Potteiger of the Omega Protectorate. There is no bombardment. Said population is sheltering a wanted war criminal who, just moments ago, attempted to destroy the world of Kaltes. We are here to bring him to justice. Upload inbound." A tightbeam signal would emit from the Resolve towards the King's Crown, and should the link be accepted - as it was just a simple data transfer through the comm unit - they would get the information Sarge had available.

[member="Romeo Sin"] would get the gun camera footage of Dredge and his vessels over the world, and be able to see as the sky turned to ash before Dredge fled. He would get the inload of data from the Republic distress call for help, establishing that it had not, in fact, been the Protectorate who had done anything to Kaltes. Atop that, he would get the droid report that once Dredge had shown up on this world, not a soul had left, meaning he was still on the planet.

All of this was incorporated into the exchange Sarge had just had with whatever toady Dredge had seen fit to put in charge of scaring away the Protectorate.

Romeo would make his own conclusions of course, but that was of little consequence to Sarge. "I'm completing my objective." He adds. "Will you stand in my way?"

[member="Sarge Potteiger"]

It wouldnt take long for Romeo to get the message, it was all too soon that he would end up in a situation that would start a war, or further an alliance he was had. Within another few seconds. Romeo would then be sent data on what was going on. A picture of Dredge, and his men destroying the town, ravaging it to their gain. With all this info, knowing that Dredge was still on the planet, Romeo had to make a discision. He had once been a Horde member, he did not agree with the carnage he had witnessed, and believed Dredge to be a enemy of the galaxy. Then again this could have been a ploy to make the OP seem the good guys here.
He sighed, and shook his head. He could make the whole galaxy hate him for this, but there was only one answer to this problem...side with Sarge.

"Colonel Protteiger, this is King Sin, with the information you have provided to me, I see no need to get in your way, but to only aid you. Do you need my warship's aid?" He was ready to unleash the ship's cannon on anything that moved on the planet. "If Dredge is on this planet, and my trust in you is placed well, I am able, and willing to provide any help the Shadow Empire can give." He leaned back, and waited to see what would happen next.

Booming out of hyperspace outside of the DMZ the protectorate had created a good sized fleet began to hail the protectorate fleet. Showing up on the holo message was a fair skinned woman who looked of royalty. She wore a crown of twigs and was dressed in a silky leaf green dress. "This is Summer's blight captained by Queen Erika of the free world of Oberon. We have responded to the message sent by the free people of Raalonia and ask that you lower your weapons and immediately cease the killing of innocent civilians." The woman sat back in her chair and sent the message. Once that had finished the "woman" sent a message to [member="Romeo Sin"].

"Craft of the shadow empire, you too have come in aid to help the free people of Raalonia. The monsters before you are guilty of killing innocent civilians, I have received video of their ships collapsing tunnels upon innocent women and children." This was true the fleet that was supposibly from Oberon had been beamed video of the deaths the protectorate had caused and now the ships from Oberon were sending it to Romeo Sin aboard his ship.

The images were gruesome and horrid, people running in terror as their homes came down around them. It was proof that the protectorate had indeed killed hundreds if not thousands in the initial bombardment. "This is not the way to obtain criminals! Withdraw your fleet now!" The woman said with a sharp tongue. She was in fact not the queen of Oberon but instead a human morpher that was working to deceive the man by adding more fuel to the fire.

4 Nudcha Class Assault Cruisers
5 Redoubt class assault cruisers

The Ession fleet that arrived was a small one, built for one particular purpose.

Dredge had made an appearance on the world previous, and this had drawn the attention of the Grand Council. The Vong Warlord could not be allowed to continue his terrorist activities. The Reformation held no love for the Omega Protectorate, nor did it dislike he OP. It was indifferent.

Four Hades class heavy cruisers dropped out of hyperspace as one, all bristling with weaponry. Their shields were kept on a minimal setting to produce maximum damage with the turbolasers.

Book had been tasked with leading the small force for one particular purpose.

"I have arrived to cleanse the beast." The signal transmitted to any ship in the vicinity that happened to accept it. "Give my ships a wide berth. I would like to avoid a diplomatic incident."

None of the assault cruisers bore any particular identification tags, and linking them to the Ession Reformation was nigh impossible given the fact that this was only the second time the Reformation had fielded them. Needless to say, they were allies to the Protectorate in this.

"All personnel stand by for glassing in five."

"Seriously." Sarge mutters as more people show up. His sent a quick message back to the 'Queen' (@Dredge) leaving it open in case [member="Romeo Sin"] wished to hear, or even @Book. His tone was low, annoyed, even a bit harsh. "Does no one pay attention? There is no bombardment going on." Oh yes, they'd gotten under his skin. "As for the 'innocents' of this world, I've heard the distress call, and I have already contacted the surface. The individuals who are handling these duties are separate, and I'd like to think that if someone has the power to tell me off from their airspace they have the power to send a distress signal too. I have created a line in the sand while we apprehend the criminal we're after, the one they refuse to give up and clearly have no intention of prosecuting. One that is still on this world. They may not have asked for war but they certainly weren't doing anything to stop it, either. That's the funny thing about sheltering a war criminal; people tend to get violent."

"But I'll forgive that. This is a 'desperate' situation for them. Still, I'm curious. You answer to this distress message, but not the one at Kaltes. You have come from a world as distant from here as Naboo is to Kaltes, a trip that would not have been as short as yours seems to have been. You do so having marshalled a fleet that is a bit too large for a single planet not under the sway of a large government."

He was staring out of the atmospheric shield of the hangar, out beyond the drifting debris of the ship graveyard and towards the new ships that were arriving. "So my question to you, 'Queen', is this; What are you actually doing here? Because while you may be responding to the distress call, you aren't doing so under the auspices of any sense of selflessness."

The Queen gave colonel a dry and deadpan look devoid of almost any human emotion, he of course could not see this as the mimic was caught in her lie. "How we arrived here is none of your concern good sir, but the people of Oberon will not stand by and watch you bring war to this planet and put innocent lives on the line. Stand down or we will open fire on yo-" she was cut off by the four hades heavy cruisers that were now in orbit not too far from her own fleet.

The mimic let out a very low growl that sounded inhumane for it. The mic had been turned of when she did it and soon she regained composer to contact the protectorate fleet. "Four heavy cruisers are about to glass those civilians! Please help stop them!" The ships in the fallen horde fleet kept their guns on the protectorate in case they started shooting. Whoever the other fleet was they meant business and they were about to start shooting at the planet. This was perfect , chaos was ensuing and soon possibly millions would die.

"Unknown fleet! Please stand don't let us all leave this place and leave capture to the local government!" The woman was smiling a thick fang filled grin and awaited to see what happened next.

Romeo hailed the newest of fleets to come into this, he was in a bad place here, it was just his lonely star destroyer among fleets of war bound people. "New fleet, this is Romeo Sin, Shadow King of Eclipstica, who are you? What are your intentions here?" Romeo then heard the Colonel give his long speech. This was looking bad. Now there was a Queen here, and an unknown. He opened the channel to all.
"This is King's Crown, flag ship of Shadow Empire's Hikage Armada element. I do not wish to see this turn into a blood bath, as I am here with a lonely ship, may I suggest we all meet on this ship, and discuss this personally, and try to stop this form becoming a slaughter. Someone here isn't telling the truth. Colonel Potteiger, you know I am a small ally to the Queen of Naboo. You know I mean you no harm." He stood by. It was true though, he was the only person here with a SINGLE ship.
This did not mean there wasnt a fleet waiting far behind to come to his beckoning call if needed though.

Fancy stuff.

Book wasn't here for the welfare of the people below. Truthfully, they didn't matter. None other than his those who accepted the new galactic order did. The Dreadguard had a desire to test the capabilities of the Hades cruisers, and this place presented the perfect firing range.

Whether his presence irked the others or not was not his concern.

Oddly enough, he waited.

[member="Sarge Potteiger"] [member="Romeo Sin"] [member="Book"]

Oh this was not going good, not going good at all. The Ession fleet was not attacking as was predicted and they were silent. They were waiting to see what was going to be done. Then the bleeding hearts club shadow king chimed in with an idea for a meeting. The "queen" of Oberon sat back in her chair and shifted form. The Yuuzhan Vong spat a curse in it's native language and sighed. He wasn't being broadcast in any way so he was safe to change. "Stay still, buy as much time as we can." He said to his men before changing shape once more to become the beautiful queen.

The queen cleared her throat and spoke. "Gentlemen, let us work to find a compromise. No one wants to die here today." Looking over to her crew she signaled a few gestures and wanted to have support in case things went wrong

Back on the planet Dredge was being moved through the tunnels with his daughter. He was well on his way to an undisclosed area and he intended to get away from the people pursuing him. He had promised his daughter he would not leave her and this was a promise he intended to keep. Dredge was evil, wholesomely so. But he still loved his daughter and would do anything for her. The people and medical teams kept moving Dredge to where he was needed. They had to get off world soon or very bad things were going to happen to the people above.

@Book @Dredge @Sarge Potteiger

Romeo sighed in relief, and signalled the captain to allow the Colonel on board when he was ready to arrive on the King's Crown. Then he sent another private hail to the four ships that had came in, but stayed silent. "Again I call to the unknown fleet, will you agree to a meeting?" He then returned his attention to the 'Queen'. With what the Colonel had said, he agreed, something was fishy about this queen.
"Will you agree with this meet, your highness?"

[member="Sarge Potteiger"] [member="Romeo Sin"] [member="Book"]

The queen paused for a bit and nodded. "As you wish, I will be on my way now to your ship Shadow King." The Yuuzhan Vong morpher cursed in his native language once the mic went out and decided it was for the best. They were buying time for hopefully whoever this unknown fleet was would mess up and start shooting. They were patient however and that was not a good thing. The Yuuzhan Vong kept up it's appearance and placed over her slender beautiful shoulders a very large and furry coat that would conceal her body and give the look of royalty.

The Vong made it's way to a shuttle and left the assault cruiser. "Shadow king we are on our way." The woman said in her soft voice. The ship took off and sailed through the vastness of space to come into the hanger of the shadow kings star destroyer. Parking there and remaining the queen had a two man escort of knights with her and she stepped out to see what was going on.

Down bellow teams were moving dredge closer to their destination. The crews of shapers loaded up Dredge into what looked to be a massive cargo bay. Entering from the tunnels into a metal floor where they were still busy moving the large injured man and his daughter

A solemn nod was executed by the lithe blonde.

“The Force is as affected by death, as it is by life. If you can reach out see if you can feel the pain from the planet below.” She closed her eyes. This was a dangerous lesson indeed, if he chose not to, she wouldn’t blame him. If something went awry, she was there for him.

Literally right there.

“This is the worst feeling to ever face,” Kiskla murmured after allowing [member="Haytham Kaze"] enough time to focus, despite the incoming transmissions being spoken in the confined space. “This is why I’m a Jedi. To use my abilities to do what I can to prevent things like this. Nobody deserves to have their choice to life taken from them.”

The broadcast opened with a more sinister message, a message about a hunt from @HK-36. She frowned — of course there would be those interested in the bait, but she preferred to assist rather than persist. Nevertheless, she forwarded the message to those who could potentially be interested with a slightly more…vanguard nature — [member="Ryan Korr"].

“Captain, if you still need it — we can link up with you and assist with the survivors you’ve got on board.” [member="Sammo Hache-Khe of Rae"]

Uriel

I Shall Know No Fear
Needless to say, the space marine was not pleased. However, he was eternally at the side of [member="Sarge Potteiger"], bolter still strapped to his mag-plate.

"My Lord. Your orders?" he asked, for this had taken a clear diplomatic turn. Not once but twice had he been denied combat today. Would he be denied thrice? Would this be a cursed mission? It was clear he was uncomfortable with this, for he had removed his helmet and placed it on his other thigh-plate. It was clear that Uriel wasn't going to stand for anything like this for much longer.

Something, someone, had to die.

Nyos wandered the broken landscape with the hopes of locating a Jedi, but he wasn't having any such luck. He called over his comm, "Return to the ship and get as many loaded inside. We are moving out."

Nyos turned back to the Pheobus, it would be a bit before he reached the ship. Nyos looked about, all the destruction, what had this power? He couldn't think of a thing that had this power, besides [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"]. He was sure if she was ever mad enough, she could break the ground. The walk was quiet on his return path. He was happy he was in the field again, it had been so long, yet recently, so many had asked for his aid. Even some combat missions were offered, Nyos was surprised so many had come forth in the last few months.

Nyos turned a corner, he could see his ship in the distance. The Milenici crew was busy getting survivors and patients into the ship.

[member="Sammo Hache-Khe of Rae"]

The ACA task force remained on the edge of the Kaltes system. The variety of ships from Omega Protectorate and other sources still in atmosphere and occasionally landing. The planet surface of the planet still smouldered from the barrage it had been subject to. The ACA's sensor could pick up debris, but still they had no means to understand the events that had transpired before their arrival.

They continued to broadcast a clear hail, demanding an explanation.

OOC/ If events are going to be misinterpreted then we're finishing this. [member="HK-36"] [member="Nyos Val"] [member="Kiskla Grayson"]

[member="HK-36"] [member="Sarge Potteiger"]

Nyos returned to his ship and crew. The last of the survivors were boarding and the pilots were priming the engines. He aided a woman who couldn't walk, and sat her in a cot in the holding area. The doors were raised and Nyos moved to the bridge. He sent out a comm to all allies in the area.

"To all Protectorate Forces. I have retrieved the last of the survivors. We are disembarking now and will rondesvou with the fleet and take on any wounded we can. After which we will meet at home base when you are finished."

Nyos activated the thrusters and pushed the ship into the air. Kevin and Stewart sat beside him, bickering about lunch. There was never a full moment with Milenici around. Nyos picked up ASA IFF tags and a broadband call requesting an explanation. Nyos took it upon himself to answer. The Navy had other concerns to worry about.

[member="Irys Arist'lar"]

"This is Lt. Nyos Val of the Omega Protectorate Medical Fleet. We have been tasked with retrieving survivors of an attack on the planet. Command had tracked a war criminal to the planet and have witnessed said criminal attack the people. In response, the fleet fired upon the possible locations of the criminal cells."

"Any 'misinterpretation' of our actions can be subject to questioning once the arrest has been made. Any further questions should be written and sent to the office of the Protectorate Command upon completion of a comment questionnaire. Thank you and have a nice day."

And with that, Nyos punched the ship to hyperspace, course set for Fondor.
