'In war there is no victory, only death.'

Their - This indicates that something belongs to you. 'Their cat. Their house. Their keys. Their traditions.'

They're - Actually is a contraction of the words, 'They and are'. It is not a modifier, but is used as a subject and verb. 'They're my best friends.' or 'They're waiting for me.' Because in actuality you are saying 'They are my best friends.' or 'They are waiting for me.'

'In war they are no victory, only death.' - Makes no sense. Not to me, at least.

There - The word there is similar to the word here in that it represents a place. It has two main uses: (1) it is a specified place and (2) it is an unspecified place.

The Germans are over there. (specified place)

There are two apples. (unspecified place. There are two apples in existence.)
