Kay sat at her desk in her new office. Just last night she was sworn in as Madam President of Commenor. Running for that role wasn't exactly on the top of her mind when she returned to the planet after exiling herself for a little while. It was others that had pushed her onto this path and told her that it was where she belonged. Maybe so, but it still felt awkward. She felt awkward.
But now was not a time to dwell on herself. She had more important things to do. Her entire election platform was based on their security and continued prosperity. Some members of other governments had reached out to her since her campaign began. And now it was her turn to reach out to more.
Kay stared at her datapad for a moment, a slight hesitation before she recorded a message for [member="Gael bar Ammon"] :
~Greetings. I hope this message finds you well. Recently there had been hostilities on the other side of the sector of which Commenor shares. As their newly elected President, I am reaching out to other governments to see if I can assure that the Commenori are safe from such attacks. I request a meeting with you, either here in Chasin City or elsewhere to your liking, so that we may discuss a peace accord between our governments. Thank you kindly.~
She turned off the recording and then sent it off. Now for the waiting game. It was just one thing on her list of things to do, but one of great importance.
