Realms of Darkness, Visions of Light - Chapter 1

Serena stepped off the transport a face among the team of historians, geologists, archaeologists, and paleontologists. No one could turn down the opportunity to see the affects the killiks had, the rakata had here, and where they still remnants of them hiding beneath the dust of what was known as a hellish and dangerous world.

What was she doing here? Korriban a place even the Vong had not come to, this of all the places someone like her should show up or even agree to come to. But there was still the isolated enclaves of Kissai and Massassi on Korriban what did they offer to this place?

Serena remembered reading that the acolytes often lay traps and ambushes in tombs to get rid of challengers and threats. Serena was wide eyed with interest.

Special dispensations granted for a team to come and look upon the ancient ruins of a barren wasteland of a planet. A wasteland that many were curious of, where many had died, and where Jedi and Sith a like could look back to starting point.

Valley of the Dark Lords. How many tales had she heard of that place?

Shyrack Cave.

Creatures that could be found here Terentatek, bat-like Shyracks, sith hounds called tuk’ata, dark side dragons hssiss though rare to be seen, wraids, pelko bugs and k’lor’slugs.

As the harsh wind blew and the leader called them to gather, Serena could feel her own midichlorians vibrating warning over and over to her. She tamped them down to quiet she could not have anyone identify her as a Jedi.

Transportation was being provided, the location still undisclosed. Serena quietly waited, her blue eyes scanned the faces around her. Some she knew from other studies, some she did not. The hairs on the back of her neck stood up.

Animus was not going to give up... He knew! something within Korriban and the Valley of the Dark lords was awaiting him. He stood on top of one of the bigger Tombs close to the the main valley with all his Archeological equipment. Animus had been toiling for days in this very spot and had uncovered little more than figures of BBY Korriban and utensils of the ancient Rakata culture. It was not bad, any of these artefacts alone could fetch a nice price if sold at a collector of cultural artefacts but this was not what Animus was looking for.

Animus had dug inside caves to find nothing but Dust and Pelko Bugs, the creatures swirled around him not daring to touch him. The Dark side of the force swirled in him with all the Rage and fury as ever, the frustration of his failed dig only made it worse, however Groog was with him, his Pet Tuka'ta and about 9 months old, still a young pup but still very deadly. Animus was wearing his Archeological get up, pure work clothing, brushes and grounding equipment.

A tall Geostick protruded from the ground giving Animus a reading of how the ground beneath him would react, and sent a sonar to inform him of Any Structures under it. When the excavation began Animus noticed something strange in the reading, a Stone hole was blocked off by 50 feet of Sediment of whom only 20 had been cleared out, one could not simply dig his way into an Archeological site that would endanger any artefacts that can be salvaged in the way. Animus dug patiently and with protocol.

Animus noticed something over the small dune, what appeared to be a conglomerate of well dressed workers who were not of this area... Strange thing indeed Animus thought, People around him put him in a wary state, and he quickly calmed himself down and made his force signature very hard to distinguish as he sprang above the dune and locked eyes with the party of people. Approaching them carefully he started to notice some of them were Scientists and professionals... this was no rag tag band of Brigands this was a team of very specialized people. His curiosity got the better of him, or perhaps it was the Attractive blond lady that seemed to be the Authority. Either way, he approached them slowly in a deliberate and calm way.

The winds were turning warmer, slowly, even dare she think it softer. As she looked around her gaze fell upon a figure. She had never seen this man before but for a brief moment their eyes met, she half smiled.

It was her nature to be friendly, it was her disposition to always try and make friends. The authority that would take them to the grounds was herding them to a ground transport, Serena hung back slightly hoping to get a better look at the man in the hood.

She could see he carried all the tools of the trade, hers were currently buried in an equipment bag being loaded into the transport.
What could she say, should she say something.

She moved closer, tilting her head, as she thought of a single sentence. Hard to believe the little blonde haired girl who got fussed at for being too social was having problems forming sentences.

A quick shove from behind threw her into the side of the man. “OH MY” Serena quickly righted herself, “I’m so sorry I” She looked up he was a little taller than she was, he had yellow eyes. How odd, and yet rather than look away she found herself peering closer.

She stepped back when she realized.

“I’m sorry, I’ve never seen yellow eyes. I shouldn’t stare its rude, especially since you don’t know me, and I don’t know you” And that was when the nerdy blonde girl appeared with the endless talking she took a breath.

“I’m Serena” She held out her hand, “you are?”

[member="Animus Malgus"]

Animus quickly noticed he had forgotten his contact lenses and he quickly needed to make up for that fact, luckily he knew just how to. He smiled and Shook her hand focusing on force Stealth, His essence became after a few minutes the one of a Light Side force User. "Quite common where i come from Miss Serena, I am Animus, the pleasure is mine" Animus was a very traditional man, well mannered with women and respectful at all times however the subject of their Location was of concern to him.

"This location is extremely dangerous, i was just excavating a dig a few yards ahead. Korriban does not suit you i'm afraid." It did not, she seemed so out of place in a place like this, a place of the Primeval. Did the you lady know where she was? This was the Territory of Zambrano the Hutt, Monsters and Creatures whose only pleasure to see flesh ripped from bone in the most excruciatingly painful way possible. He had seen this, first hand actually, grotesque displays of Brutality and carnage. None of this showed in his face. He smiled and truly meant it as a compliment, but the curiosity of their visit was not lost on him.

"May is ask the cause for your visit? a specific site you would like to explore? i am quite versed in the area of the Valley of the Dark Lords if you have need of me." Animus said as the wind blew at his long hair waving in the wind in a violent way, he handed the lady a Figurine of apparently 4333 BBY. It depicted what seemed to be a Darksaber wielding warrior, it was small however, made of Red stone slab. His eyes never parting from hers, it was custom and a show of respect and acknowledgement where he came from, but Animus always had passion and Fire in his eyes.
[member="Serena Bouie"]

Quite common he remarked, so unique she continued to think. "Pleasure Animus, so you aren't part of this group, you're here on your own." She did not ask she was now making as assumption.

"What I have been told is that everyone is interested in history, and in the spirit of cooperation and historical value we've been allowed to come to Korriban. With of course many stipulations about where we are allowed to make examinations." Serena looked around again she always tried to find beauty where she was.

The designs that were etched upon the stones, the streaks across the sky, she looked again at Animus, the brilliance of yellow in a stranger's eyes. Yes there was always something positive to focus on in places that felt odd to her.

"Korriban is harsh, and those that control it are task masters. Fortunately I am only here for a few days and then I will move on to my next assignment"

"I would have need of someone versed in the Valley of the Dark Lords." Serena moved along ensuring that her new acquaintance was with her.

"I am making an assumption about this place. I'm looking for evidence that I am right." Serena took the figurine holding it as if were the most precious of jewels her attention shifted. Her trained eyes scanned over it. Red stone slab. Oh how she wanted to use her psychometry on this to see what she had seen, to know who had touched her. "This stone, is it the same stone that the tombs were cut from?"

Serena's fingers gently caressed the figurine, "The Valley has been rebuilt three times that I can recall. By the small markings here on the stone, especially the base, see here there are small tool marks this was done by hand, so...she is quite old." Serena looked up, "have you dated her, does she go back to the days of Pesegam, or Moraband?" Two names that Korriban had also been called.

This was beautiful.

[member="Animus Malgus"]

Animus shook his Head. "I have not dated her or calculated her but i have an idea of the Age" Animus said with a smile, his tone denoting his excitement subtly. It had been so long since he had someone he could talk to about his Archeological and Historical passions with someone other than his own mind. He handed the lady who looked like a Sapphire in a sea of coal, another Smaller Figurine, this one held two objects in it's hands broken but it could be still seen it held two objects in the past. Additionally, it was far too deep to be made by a single age or rather a single people, other figurines he had collected differed from cuts as if it was made by different cultures.

Animus pulled out two more other figurines of the such, showing them one next to each other. "They were not made when Korriban was United. There are Tribal Figured, Older than the Tombs of the Dark lords, which is why i am not there and i am Here." Animus put the figurines carefully in his sack, smiled again as he was about to say, his conclusion. "Are you Familiar with the Legend of King Adas?" The Question was paired with a grin of victory and the voice giving away that he was convinced this was something related to the Ancient King. He was sure, if this was not one important major site of the Unification of the Korriban Tribes before the Invasion of the Infinite Empire it was a clue, something was here. This was unique, and all his research on the subject had lead him to believe so. The Sith'ari, Adas...
Animus' long flowing hair blew in the wing as long as his hips and he was covered in the Uniform of Archaeologists, Dirt. His Smile however was not.

[member="Serena Bouie"]

She began to understand that she looked more like a blonde surfer girl than an archaeologist. Certain that if she pulled out bottle of Sangria and some candles no one would be surprised.

But.

Serena while she enjoyed the water, and was very active. She loved her work and spent more and more time in old tombs, and ancient ruins than most people she came across. Except maybe Animus, he seemed to have that same look about him.

The excitement that couldn’t be hidden when you talked to someone who understood the passion behind combing through history one broken piece of pottery at a time.
Serena reluctantly handed back each figure how she so wanted to study them more, her desire, the craving for knowledge evident in her eyes as she watched the figures disappear. She bit her lip slightly trying to hide her curiosity, she just could not do it.

“Will you let me see them again later?” She asked him, the longing detected in her voice.

There wasn’t a lot in any Jedi library but her father’s library at home that was a treasure trove of information. Tid bits here and there, fables, bed time stories to scare children to stay in their beds.

“King Adas, he was thought to be a chosen ruler do to his being born different” Serena’s memory once a tool that she could use at a moment notice. Now she struggled with the recall. “Otherwise I can’t remember the other things I was told, what I was told might not even be true so, why don’t you tell me what you know”

The thoughts of the village outside of the Valley of the Dark lords slowly drifted away, her mind on the figurines and what they meant, and from when they belonged.
Serena had never seen a man with such long hair, she thought her own shoulder length blonde locks long she was mistaken.

[member="Animus Malgus"]

Animus nodded at her assessment, it was True enough. "King Adas is a Legend yes but i believe it to be as True and as real as you and me Mylady." He handed over the bad of Figurines, he would sell them to the highest bidder on sometimes private collections that would never see the light of day... Such was his way, however the saddened and emotive words of the blonde were not lost on him in the slightest. "Take them, if you so wish, but i think you will find more here, than anywhere in the Tombs or the Dark Lords." Animus smiled and bit his lower lip as he contained the excitement in his eyes that flared like two beacons of Fire that made his essence as a force user although tainted in light, evident. "This location could contain the remains, or clues, of a culture a full twenty thousand years before, the Valley was ever created" He turned the figurine of a figure who holds two, distinctively clear Axes. "Turning Legend and Myth, Into History" He took her hands into his, placed the figurine in her palm and closed her hands with his, his eyes never left her own,like the two priceless jewels they were.

Putting his hand over his heart he said to her taking a bow, "However if you would still like me to be your escort in the Valley of the Sleeping Kings, it would be my pleasure."

[member="Serena Bouie"]

OH, she gasped and smiled and oh my oh my she thought. His idea almost went along with her own, could they both have possibly been looking at the same data and drawing the same conclusions? She leaned forward, and then went back.

She leaned forward again and whispered.

“I have a theory, based on what I learned from other cultures which could tie into your theory.” She was excited now her heart began to beat faster. “I believe that there was a village at the very least outside of the Valley or near it, the topography is perfect for it, but.” She growled slightly a sign of a bit of frustration.

“everything would be covered unless they used mounds to make their temples, homes, the stonework would be minimal, but there would be an entrance. But in this environment, something should remain” She smiled, “What do you think? You know more about Korriban than I”

She looked down as his hands covered her own, oh he was a charmer on top of everything else. The figurine was stunning to her a treasure beyond treasures. She wanted to find an answer that fit the art. If there was one there would be more, perhaps.

She shrunk just a little, “I’d rather hunt the evidence that suggests the older culture, but I’m not supposed to venture into places that are sacred..”

[member="Animus Malgus"]

Animus smiled genuinely as he nodded narrowing his eyes at what the young lady said. "Nothing Sacred here lies i'm afraid... Not Anymore" Animus sighed, his voice trailing in the wind that seemed to be lost on his flowing hair and over to the wide steppes of the valley that was once a glorious thing to behold. His eyes trailed off the distance that provided a sight of the Valley itself. He knew that although what he had found here was a great sight to behold, with many figurines pottery and other artefacts that could be of the time... It was nothing Conclusive and Solid. Nothing that would undoubtedly prove the existence of the Legend.

He thought on her words thinking back to what he knew about the Earliest Legend of Korriban. He knew that the ancient people of the Planet were nothing but Tribes, and King Adas Unified them, apart from that there was nothing more said or written. Suddenly he thought of one specific word... "The Sith'ari..." Animus looked back at the Young lady with the eyes of a genius idea. He quickly took his jacket off and laid it on the floor, laying his arms and back bare for the gleaming sun of Korriban to beat on for the first time, muscles tightened and compressed visibly as the sweat dripped from his body as he placed rocks from the ground in specific places on his shirt that served as a map. "This is the outlay of the Valley and this" He gestured at the middle of a pathway of stones that looked like a corridor. "Is the exit and entrance just north of where we are now, not more than a few hours walk." a few Hours walk in Korriban was a death sentence for many, he looked at the your lady while kneeling upon the floor and wiping his hair out of his face. "The ancient Sith Tales spoke of Adas a Sithari, a God-King" His smile was accompanied by a wink. "The Sith'ari was not only seen as a King, he was proclaimed to be the bringer of an Eternal Empire that would last a thousand years... In reality it lasted only three hundred." Aimus shook his head as he knew he was getting off track. "The Deification of Adas was Implanted in the culture, as such it would be reasonable to suggest a Temple was nearby and it is foolish to think the Ancient Tribes were primitive... although buried in sediment of twenty thousand years" He rose slowly to meet the young lady again. "The Stone Monoliths have to still remain."

Animus Smiled as he raised his eyebrow noticing the way the young lady was looking at him. He was not new to a woman's affection, he knew how to identify an approach even when no words were spoken, he knew also how to be modest and subtle enough not to give away the fact he had noticed. The young lady was an illusion from the wildest dreams of a young man.... but Animus was not a Young man anymore... in his mid twenties but enticed by the spell of a red eyed Aristocra, it would take much to win over his heart... Not impossible, but the young lady would find the Attention of Animus Malgus a hard thing to win over entirely, but oh, so worth the effort. Animus was as Passionate about love and Emotion as he was about everything he did, he gave himself over, fully, entirely... completely. In everything he did he poured his soul and Fire inside. All he wanted, was absolute, enveloping, Passion.

Through Passion, i gain strength.

[member="Serena Bouie"]

Sith’ari she wasn’t familiar with that word she wanted to ask what it meant but waited and listened to him. When he looked at her she could see it he had an idea, something triggered in his mind about this place.

She kneeled when he kneeled watching him, oh he was put together very nicely, What she was a woman it wasn’t an uncommon thing to notice that a man was pleasing, men did it enough to women. Serena cleared her mind and concentrated as he created a map from the rudimentary materials that were handy.

The crowd that she had come with were moving away leaving them there exchanging ideas. “I’d like to know more about this God King and his culture.” She didn’t know what she was really asking, seeking knowledge her whole life and here was a history she knew nothing about.

“If he was deified, then they would need a place of worship. As you say a temple. There are some cultures that begin very primitive and evolve, without evidence we are just guessing.” She knew sometimes their work was nothing more than a guess.

“A temple, the columns would have to be standing, or…laid out if they were not able to remain upright. I can read some runes, but not all, would you recognize his name in the ancient language?

She was also in her mid-twenties though at times she felt so much older. She remained as calm as she could though every fiber within her was jumping around.

Passion, yet serenity.

[member="Animus Malgus"]

Animus shook his head again at the Words of the young lady. "There is little to anything written or known about it, other than the Epics and Legends that were written much later." Animus pulled into his backpack and produced the book he carried with himself at all times as a Reminder of what his true purpose was in these excavations. *Legends and Epics of Old Korriban* "According to Legend, The Eternal Empire of Ratak came to Korriban and gave Adas the Knowledge to create a Holocron, however upon realizing that The Aliens were here to Conquer Korriban Adas United all the Tribes in the Planet and defeated them, dying in the attempt" Animus opened and locked in the Chapter that spoke about adas, his book riddled with Notes and scribbles all over as he kept track of his thoughts and denominations.

Looking into the eyes of the Young lady, almost Imploringly he said "Almost all the Knowledge of that time came from Word to Mouth, Oral Traditions, nothing would be written, but instead spoken and passed on through generations." His words were more of a sigh and hope of revelations, Animus had spent years studying this yet he could not piece it together, as if that last piece of the puzzle just did not fit. "The Sith'ari is a Legend that rings true even today in the Sith, along the Legend of Darth Bane. It states that one Day, a Sith with no Limits, A perfect Being shall come." Animus cleared his throat to Recite the Ancient Prophecy.

"The Sith'ari will be Free of Limits, The Sith'ari will lead the Sith and Destroy them, The Sith'ari will Raise the Sith from Death and make them Stronger than Before."

[member="Serena Bouie"]

Serena began to think. She did not have all the information and hours of study that Animus had, she remembered his map the single path in, the single path out.
Everything that was spoken gave Serena the chills, an ancient king.

“All stories handed down by generation should be considered the oral record. Each generation may have added a word, or changed a word to suit the times.” The Rakata everyone knew about the Rakata.

Serena looked at Animus, “What are the locations of the Tombs of the Sleeping Kings? Is there a pattern?

In her mind she was working the puzzle - if Adas was the first, could they have built around him, as if protecting him, and his legacy? She was drawing upon her experience with other monuments, other tombs, and how the dead were treated.

She was trying to help to figure out the puzzle, she was good at puzzles, and she just needed to keep trying to fit the pieces together till the picture made sense.

[member="Animus Malgus"]

Animus nodded, he thought maybe she was getting somewhere so he was very quick to add his finger in the map again kneeling down quickly and sporadically to this time arrange the stones only representing the Tombs... This time the Stones made up a strange symbol when Animus placed them to represent the Most prominent tombs. "It would be so, however Adas is spoken of even in other Worlds. North of here is the Mongrel Altar, where a depiction of him is presented, but this Altar was erected far after his death"

"Here is the Tomb of Marka Ragnos, and here is the Supposed tombs of Ancient Darklords." Animus was understanding what she was getting at, perhaps the answer laid in the locations and positioning of the tombs placements. There was a clue here... When placed in order, there seemed to be one large landmass that seemed to contain... Nothing, a valley, just sand in the very middle of the Korriban Valley, a plateau as large as 15 miles by 15 miles. Animus suddenly had an idea, "Do you think it is possible to have a Geo Sonar in this area to beam us up a detailed layout of the Underground of the plateau? Anything beneath the sediment i mean."

[member="Serena Bouie"]

“The vessel that brought us here, it is the archeologists dream it has everything.” Serena had not thought about the layout of the vessel before, was it possible that the Professor running this program was in league with the Sith somehow.

Serena pulled out her communications device, “Let’s ask them that’s why they are here to aide with documenting of history”

Serena looked at the map, “We might have to go up to the ship, the coordinates would have to be pretty exact for them to sweep over it and then we can get dropped a little closer than having to take the walk

Serena looked at Animus, they were just scientists right now sharing information and searching for a historical find.

“I’ll call for a pick up and we can go and have the tech run the scan, are you ok with that?”

Was she making the right call?

[member="Animus Malgus"]

Animus smiled and Nodded. "Of course but i will go with you." Animus looked at her with eyes of concern. "If you have soldiers and Guns you will need them, there is almost guarantee we will run into something down there" Animus stood before her and Smiled. He truly did not know what they would find down there, But if they did find something that belonged to King Adas, Animus would be ecstatic.

As an Archeologist he was more than enthusiastic about their Project. As a Sith, he was Honored. Adas was the founder of the Ancient order he Now Served and fought for, Animus was a Loyal servant of the Sith, it brought him Pride to Serve the greater Good of the Sith. The thoughts of what he could discover and knowledge he could uncover to bring back to the Academy was more than an Incentive to get Animus Game.

"If we get a sonar of the area and we detect anything unusual we will have to begin the dig around it which means we will have to set a perimeter of security around " Animus shrugged as if he was not really that concerned, to be honest we wasn't. "More than one Tuka'ta will come at us i am Certain..." He looked at the Woman's eyes with a sly smile and a scent of Confidence. " i have fought them before"

[member="Serena Bouie"]

[member="Animus Malgus"]

Serena nodded and made the call within a few moments a shuttle appeared to take them up to the ExplorerCorp ship known as The Cave Jumper was a made of YT1000 freighter, light, but with the room needed to haul equipment, and personnel.

Serena understood the need for soldiers, something down there sounded a bit ominous. Something unknown, something with long teeth, and sharp claws it sounded scary. Something that made children stay in their beds at night only this was not a tale this was reality.

She looked at Animus again his hair blowing about, the intensity of his gaze, when his spoke it was not a voice that commanded to be listened to, it was a voice that invited you in. Serena could see him ready to stand up and slay dragons, there was a bit of nobility in that and a touch of sadness. Serena always felt bad for the dragon, even if the hero was made to sound too good to be true.

Serena motioned for Animus to follow as she headed towards the shuttle, inside she found a seat. “Andren will be waiting for us, he has an idea of what he thinks we want, and he’ll have an initial topography scan for us when we arrive”

She smiled again, just being herself smiling.

“How long have you been studying archaeology? Have you been on any other sites that I would know?” Small talk. Serena always tried her hand at it, she needed practice.

Andren was working on what Serena had mentioned the Valley of the Dark Lords, or as others referred to it the Sleeping Kings. There were researchers that would have given their eye teeth to be able to see Korriban.

He brought up the first scan

ximg_16861.jpg
So what was Serena and Animus looking for in this scan - he was running the GeoScan when Serena and Animus walked in.

Animus was more than impressed with their Technology, he was dumbfounded. The Archeologists dream, she was not exaggerating in one bit, at all. After looking at all throughout the ship Animus was beginning to wonder who exactly was this woman... He thought that was a question for another time as Work began to pile up and the Mission they had in their hands was just now beginning to unfold.

"My Father was a collector of Relics, I visited many sites with him when i was a child." His voice trailing off and giving no significance for the first time. He had no passion for his own past contrary to what love and emotion he showed for the past of Ancients. His father was not the greatest image in his life, if Anything the Sith had been more of a Family to him than his real family had ever been. "I have been to the Tomb of Marka Ragnos, it's not far and it's infested with Tuk'ata" Animus brought up an Image of the Foresight in his personal room where predictably, his daughter Kida and his Tuk'ata Groom were playing around. "You see that Pup?... that is just 9 months old. Tuka'tas never die of old age nor do they ever stop growing." His eyes beaming confidence as he removed his shirt to show her Three distinctive slashes across his Abdomen "A tuk'ata a i faced in the tomb of Marka Ragnos was by all accounts centuries Old, it would not fit through that door we walked in through mylady" His playful smile showing he was not at all daunted about facing one of those again. "They are Force Sensitive and hunt in packs, just one gave me this scar" His face not stopping to smile for a second.

Upon seeing the First image scan he noticed that the Geoscan did not penetrate deep into the core under the sediments... Just as he feared. "This area" He pointed at the lower site entrance barred by two cliffs. "We need to do a Geo Sonar Check under that entire area" He looked at her with fire in his eyes, he was sure he knew exactly what to do. "If there is, which i am sure there is" He accentuated. "A monolith of the Time it has to be buried beneath twenty thousand years worth of Sediment, which would roughly equate to 120 feet below the earth..." He raised his eyebrow and shot her a white smile. "We are going to need to big shovels" He finished with a wink.

[member="Serena Bouie"]

Serena suddenly felt more in common with him than before, “My father took me on digs, my whole family followed my parents around from site to site until we couldn’t be home schooled anymore, I am happiest in my old clothes, sand and dirt up to my elbows, brushing off my latest find”

The mention of the Tuk’ata again goosebumps ran down her arm, “every time you mention the tuk’ata I feel a bit of cold fear washing over me. I’ve never seen one” Serena turned and looked “they never die of old age, how marvelous, who is the little girl?” Serena inched closer, “She’s so cute, is she yours?”

Curious about her new comrade in history honored that he trusted her enough to bring out a picture. Her mouth dropped when he showed her the three scratch marks across his stomach, she reached over not thinking and touched the scars, “the pain must have been terrible”

Serena shook her head, “I have a lot to learn about them, and that’s just from one, and they’re force sensitive” she paused. They’re force sensitive. Didn’t mean anything, the tuk’ata was he didn’t say he was.

They both looked at the scan he was right it didn’t show anything beneath the surface, “Andren can you do geological scan?”

He nodded, “been working on it there’s something down there that is making the scanners react oddly, the best I can do is this”

192kvy76kzmwrgif.jpg

And image came up, it wasn’t much better than the last but this one shows a frame work, “I think we are going to need more than a couple of shovels Animus”

Serena looked over, “This is exciting” Serena not thinking reached over and touched Animus’ arm just as she would any colleague, “that could be so many things, its right there on the pathways anyone going in or out would have to see it.”

Serena couldn’t believe it, something beneath the sand, the Column that he was looking for, something that would give a clue to the reality or of King Adas. She needed to make notes.
