Reconstruction (Jake Jace)

[member="Jake Jace"]

"There is a difference between rushing and moving, you can observe and move your feet. If my master were here he'd have beaten you for being slow. Or done far worse." She stood there looking at him now with her arms crossed over the bodysuit. "You have potential but you lack the basic concepts. You waste time standing still to take in the area around you and fall far short in that regard as an observant jedi, you lack the basic instruction in how to hold your sabers and defend with them, I have seen a lot of questions but nothing int he way of intuition. You should be able to pick up how to do things on top of asking questions. So tell me padawan, what do you bring to the order?"

[member="Cathbodua"]
"I honestly do not know how to answer that.Its a hard thing to answer when I guess I lack pretty much everything."

He looked away he was annoyed that he pretty much lacks in every way.One can think of and that bugs him to no end it was embarrassing.He felt as if he knew nothing at all and hated it.How could he not pick up the basics was he a bad student.He was so unsure of himself at the moment.

There was a look on her face that couldn't be seen under the mask while she stood there. her hands securing the saber on her hip and raising an eyebrow at the padawan. The pert of her that was practical was looking to smack him and the part that was trained by her master was saying teach him the hard way. Well all of this would be the hard way while her hand came up speaking. "Then you have a choice, what do you want to do? If you choose the life of a jedi then I will teach you but you are going to bleed, you are going to sweat. I am not doing this because I like you or because I care. You want affection or a master who will hold your hand go to another one. I am doing this because the touchy feely hippie poodoo leaves jedi vulnerable to the darkside of the force and has created a problem. I can teach you how to be a jedi and how to resist the darkside while following the code." She remained with her arms crossed. "You you can leave and try to find something for yourself. There is no shame in failing but you need to minimize the fallout."

He ran his hand through his hair he knew Jedi training wasn't going to be easy.But it was something he belevies in though.Eventhough he dosent belevie the code of the jedi should be followed to the letter.He always thought the code was more of a guideline for a Jedi if antything.

"I know the training would not be easy I knew it would be hard.But I don't want a master that would caddle me either.But the Jedi code I don't think it needs to be followed to the letter.I think it's more of a guideline to follow and use to the way you feel is fit.Yes I know the code helps you do the right things but I think doing the right thing should come from what a person believes in."

There was a look at him while he spoke and she kept her arms crossed as he went on about the jedi code and doing good. "An interesting theory. I have a better one though... actually it is more a rule." SHe started walking and motioned with her hand. "Jedi who disregard the code will be shot out an airlock." She didn't say it like a joke just continued through the halls into a room with her attention on him and the different parts of it. "Now get itn the center of the circle."

[member="Cathbodua"]
He smiles at the alittle rule and runs his chin.But still goes were he told to.

"Shooting one out of a airlock for breaking the code is the act of that breaking it also.It seems like it's something one would do out of angry and can't that lead to the dark side as well.I thought the code say no emotion there's only peace.But I can see this is something we we'll never agree on."

[member="Jake Jace"]

She looked at him now. "What anger? If I strike you in hatred, in anger then yes I will break the code. However throwing out the trash who fail to meet the standards set for a jedi is a good thing. It keep the order from being poisoned, keep it from being corrupted." She remained standing there while withdrawing the whip and saber from her belt. "Now stand and we shall begin."

[member="Cathbodua"]
"That I disagree just because one follow it as a guide and not fully dosent mean they had fallen."He stands and grabs his lightsabers."So the airlock thing shouldn't even be an idea unless the Jedi has truly fallen."

[member="Jake Jace"]

She looked right at him and spoke while taking in the saber. "If a jedi is ignorant enough to only follow what he wants to. Then he is not a jedi, he is a pretender and such a thing has no place in the order." She walked around now clasping her hands behind her back. "THis idiocy you display in front of me now shows how easily one could make you fall and become twisted. I haven't even had to try and already you grasp your sabers like a crutch. You argue about something you admitted several minutes ago you were a failure at and still insist you are right or that you viewpoint holds weight. You are a padawan your viewpoint is shaped by your experiences and you have had none."

[member="Cathbodua"]
"I said I failed in training not in knowagle though.Am I not aloud to disagree at all.Just because I think differently I shouldn't be punished for it no one should."He stands up straight and puts his lightsabers away.

[member="Jake Jace"]

"What knowledge? You have admitted you have none, you have certainly shown you have failures at the most basic levels. So what sudden burst of knowledge and wisdom do you have that can countermand thousands upon thousands of years. Enlighten me." SHe stopped moving now and waited. "At this point you are showing why padawans are trained strictly in the code, ignorant, foolish and so far gone you simple argue because you have nothing left and have to believe you're right. At this point if I told you the sky was blue you'd argue just because, no knowledge, no experience to tell you otherwise and that is why you have already failed."

[member="Cathbodua"]
He sighs "That I do agree on experience dose help shape what one dose and knows.It helps shape morals as well but a persons morals should be their own and not forced on them.I do think fallowing the code strictly for some works for them but not others.But the others should still follows parts of it just not all of it."He knew she was trying to break him but he couldn't help but disagree.Though he would admit he agreed with her on some parts of what she was saying they were true.But he didn't believe people needed to follow the Jedi code strictly but they should follow parts of it.He maybe was just being stubborn because he didn't like to follow things strictly like she wanted.But he couldn't really bring himself to do something he didn't believe in.He wish she understood his point of view like he somewhat understood hers.If they had somewhat of a understanding of one another it would make thing easier for them both.

She listened to him and remained standing there. "Except you have no standing, you have no basis to say I';; follow this, I'll follow that but not these. You think what? That you are the first one who sought to cherry pick from the code of the jedi? Do you think you are special? Do you think you are going to usher in some grand revolution?" She moved around. "You are just like every padawan who tries and change things, disregarding the ones who tried it before you and failed. Not thinking that this is something that has been brought up, no padawan you are not the first, you won't be the last.... The difference is I am not going to stand here and coddle you saying your opinion has value. BEcvause to the jedi it is poison, to the sith I am certain they will value it." She started to walk away and stood near the door. "If you choose to remain in the jedi I suggest you find a heretical master as fallen as yourself. For I will not train you and I shall not waste my time anymore, the shadows shall be aware of your heresy as well and will judge you." She walked away and brought out her pad while sending the information to [member="Connor Harrison"] on the padawan and his ideals asking for investigation into who taught him before he came to her.

[member="Cathbodua"]
He sighs he wasn't trying to being change to the Jedi.All he wanted was to follow his own values he believes in.He knew she was right he shouldn't train with her.But not because he wanted a master to coddle him or anything like that.It was more of their values and beliefs where too different.They would not get anywhere butting heads over them all the time.Even though he did think she was right on something's and he did respect that.But he to was stubborn.

"Maybe your right us training isn't a good idea.But it's not because I want to be coddle.Im sure I'm not the only padawan to question but I don't wish to bring change or anything bigger.I just believe in my morals in life but I would be willing to fall the code.If I could hold on to what I believed in.Im not against the code I do believe it dose have good init that's worth following."
