Red's First Adventure (Sinya)

[member="Valiens Nantaris"]

Sinya deactivated her weapons and jumped up and down a bit, getting feeling back in her legs.

"I'm alright, thanks for the save, might not be here if you weren't with us," she said walking over to Mry giving her a pat on the shoulder. "That's some scary tech."

She looked at Nantaris and gave him a little smile, "I don't remember great droid fights in our training."

Her eyes moved back to the behemoth droid, wondering how anyone fought something like this when the droid armies where in play years ago. Then her mond wonder a bit to just what this thing could have been protecting all these years.

"Don't know if he'll fit up the ships ramp..." she smirked still looking at the droid, "You might have caught on that tech isn't my strong suit but this guy seems pretty well maintained, is that an automatic thing? Because if not maybe someone has been using this vault more recently than we expect."

Nantaris turned to Sinya, nodded slowly.
“You know, you’ve given me an idea. When I saw this thing I assumed it had to be the treasure, had to be the objective. But now I look, yes there’s a giant door but the hallway outside can’t fit it. Why is it here then? Can it be both treasure and guardian?”

Swiftly he activated a glowrod and walked past the passive droid. At the far end of the room was a console. Initially he’d assumed it had been just for controlling the droid, but perhaps not.

“Myr, take a look at it. I suspect there’s more at work here than just this guy.”

Going back to Sinya he nodded to the droid. “Think we should keep him? I bet he gives the best rides.”

"We could fit half the crew on him, charge a fare since they didn't have to face him when he was pointing all his nasty killing things at us," she joked lightly with the Jedi.

Sinya walked around the room, now using her force sight to cut through some of the darkness. The ability wasn't her strong suit but it saved a glowrod and let both of her hands be free, just in case. Up against the walls she saw some boxes and creates. They didn't seem like much, fairy standard shipping containers with no markings that stood out to her. What did stick out was how new the metal ones looked compared to the rest of the room.

Myr was still over at the console and hadn't spoken up yet, so maybe this was a find that would help link anything she found, "Hey Nantaris you might want to come take a look at this, it looks too new to be sitting here for the past few centuries."

Nantaris joined the red Twi’lek and examined the crates further. There was dust all around, but in some areas the disturbances showed that somewhat recently someone had walked there and deposited these crates.
“Well spotted. Perfect to place it here where the big lug over there can guard it. These look a few years old though. They have the old Sith Empire indicators on them…see if you can get them open, I’ll check on Myr.”

Crossing the space to the blue Twi’lek. “We found something odd; more recent crates over there. Someone’s been here in the last ten years.”
“That tallies with what I found too. This droid was shut down and then reactivated approximately six solar cycles ago, which is about 10 standard years. All surveillance has been scrubbed.”
“A mystery then! Why did they never come back for this stuff I wonder…and how did they get past the droids?”
“No clue, but there’s some interesting blueprints here, though most of them are well out of date.”
“Take all you can, I’ll see what Sinya’s found inside.”

(OOC: Depending on where you are in the world, Merry Christmas!)

Sinya started to open the creates cautiously, increase they were trapped. The first few seems bland, some blasters, armor and other assorted clothing and common weapons.

'Seems odd to have old ugly there protecting this worthless, dated gear' she thought to herself. Still she placed it aside for the others to look at since they knew more what to look for than she did.

She was beginning to think that who ever this belonged to had left and they decided to leave a giant droid in their wake to halt all those following them. She walked over to the last few creates and bent down to open them but the lids wouldn't budge. Their was a key pad and what appeared to be a hand or retina scanner on them both.

She glanced over her shoulder as Nanataris approached her, "Not much of value in those creates but look at these two, both have more security on them." She thought against just ramming her lightsaber though the lid, never know what someone could surprise you with!

Kneeling down, Nantaris looked over them carefully.
“These are certainly newer. Myr thinks they’re from about 10 standard years ago.”
He touched the first one, running a practiced hand over them for any sort of hidden catches or signs of traps.

Glancing at Sinya, he produced his lightsabre and carefully inserted the activated blade into the locking mechanism. It popped open and he gave his apprentice a slightly amused look.
“Always look for the best solution, lass. If that means burning it out, do it.”

Inside the two crates were a couple of interesting relics. Most seemed merely historically or artistically significant, but there was one which grabbed Nantaris’ attention.
As soon as he opened the lid a small rod had caught his eye, and mainly because the Dark Side clung strongly around it.
“Sith Alchemy,” he said to Sinya, pointing to the rod. “Be careful not to touch it.”

The Sith, in her limited knowledge anyone her master could have said would have been a better group to contend with. Still if this item was here for ten years maybe the owner had died or simply forgotten about it.

"Rods of doom are why I let you open locked things master, then I can take none of the blame when they activate." She smiled and breathed a small sigh that nothing did happen.

She Could feel the Dark Side now that the chest was open. It seemed to pulse in her mind, giving her thoughts of the power she cold wield, even memories buried deep from her childhood and how this power could "correct" past wrongs done to her. Her bright golden eyes dimmed for a moment, lost to the thoughts...

She snapped out of if, looking slightly frighten, her training in the force had been going well but her inexperience with the persuasive powers of the Dark Side showed.

"I...yes let's keep that away..." Sinya said, as though coming out of a trance.

Trying to shake off what happened she turned to Myr and asked, "Any clues on who might have left this here? Maybe a why?"

Nantaris gently removed the box from Sinya, closed it and put it aside.
“I think that’s a wise idea,” he said tactfully.

Myr came over, shook her head. Her lekku curled together in frustration. “No. Whoever was here erased all trace of themselves in the records. All we have is shoe size and a possible date.”

Nantaris frowned, pondering. He looked at the dark box. More information was needed about it, but he wasn’t so self-confident that he would try and probe the item’s mysteries himself. No, he had in mind someone who might help. Dark Side experts in Sith lore were rare outside of the ones he tried to destroy. However, he did have one name which came up.
“I do know someone who might help…maybe. She’s a spy, an Atrisian named [member="Sumiko Tanaka"]. When we get back to the ship I can contact her. As for now…gather up everything you can, we’ll try and get out.”

He glanced up at the giant droid. “There was to be a way out for that. Ahh…there. Look, its standing on a concealed platform. That must rise up and the roof must open. Let’s hope it still done, it’s our ticket out of here.”

[member="Valiens Nantaris"]

Sinya walked over to the platform with her master and Myr once everything was loaded up. Her head was still swimming a bit from whatever the rod did to her but she tried to push it out of her mind for now.

The platform started to ascend from the depths of the factory. The shaft was well lit, considering the age of the facility.

"Looks like we get to take it home after all," she said, patting the mammoth droid on one of its legs. It was a little creepy to her, even shut down, but it would no doubt serve a purpose if it could be reprogrammed.

She glanced over at Nantaris, "So Sumiko Tanaka ...anything I should know? Can't say the name is familiar, though no one used their real name when they came visiting me in my old line of work."

Nantaris frowned slightly. “She’s a Dark Jedi, and I know she’s got some shady connections. However, she works with a friend of mine, and they assure me she’s not a Sith. She’s pretty much the closest I can get without getting Darths everywhere. Failing that I know a Jedi who might be able to help, but let’s see if she wants to talk first.”

The roof above them opened.
“Scindia, we’re coming out with a friend, hold your fire!”
Taking Myr and Sinya, he mounted the droid like it was a giant steed.
“Right, let’s get this fired up. Myr?”

The Twi’lek plugged a cable into a jack and tapped away on her datapad. Beneath them, the droid awoke and rose to its feet just as they came into view.
“Right…now…let’s go!” Myr said. “Cover me!”
With Nantaris on one side, Sinya on the other, Myr sat between them and typed commands as battle droids opened fire. The two Jedi deflected bolts until the droid came online and started laying waste to all before it.

“We need to get ourselves one of these!” Nantaris exclaimed happily as the heavy cannons blasted a Droideka to pieces.

Sinya knocked a few battle droids away with a force push and continued to deflect incoming fire. The massive battle droid they rode on took care of most the droids remaining.

"I could get use to riding into battle on this thing," the lethan yelled over the cannon fire.

It didn't take long for the trio to meet up with the main host from outside. with a heavy stomp their newly acquired ride crushed a droid under its feet and stopped.

Scindia's group seemed most intact, a few wounded is all the Twi'lek saw, though she didn't know the whole crew or the number that came out.

"You like our new friend? I'm thinking 'Badass-Gaint-Pony' as a name," she said to Scindia as she hopped down from her station on the steed.

[member="Sinya'olan"]
“I think if we updated this thing it might be a useful war machine even now,” Nantaris commented. He looked at the red Twi’lek quizzically. “’Badass Giant Pony’? Really?”

Having inflicted sufficient damage on ancient droids and retrieved useful data they departed swiftly.
