Reflections

As Allyson expected, Jyoti dove head first into the project. The Corellian kept herself busy with work and her own training. Receiving the summons to the Grandmaster’s office was quite official, but it meant that the woman had a breakthrough or needed more information. Wandering towards the office she was able to get in without a password this time. She sat down and crossed a leg over the other, hands in her lap she relaxed for the most part.

From what she could remember, she had only come to the Echani’s office a handful of times for official business – this time was interesting. Hearing that Mechu Deru wasn’t something dangerous she exhaled with relief. Allyson recalled her run in with another padawan named Kat about the matter resurfaced.

As Jyoti continued, Allyson’s head nodded along understanding what the woman was saying about the power. She had heard of Electronic manipulation, but instead of understanding the way the electronic device and how it worked, the Sith would override it with their desire to override it, forcing it to bend to their will. The thought of it made her shift in her seat, knowing that it could be used against people who had cybernetics and the like. It was in that moment; the small bomb was dropped into her lap.

She hadn’t expected the last bit and it was written on her face. “Teach people?” It was bound to happen, but what surprised Allyson more was that Jyoti wanted to learn herself. A small smile crept on the Corellian’s face as she nodded. “Sounds amazing. I know I’ve had a couple of people ask me to teach them, but I’ve turned them down. I’ve never really taught anything to anyone – so things should get interesting.” Laughing slightly, Allyson folded her arms in front of her and leaned back into the chair she was sitting in. “When did you want to start?”

Jyoti smiled and nodded. "I know that many people have pushed you to teach them Mechu-Deru, and I appreciate you for respecting my request. It's fine if you don't know how to teach right now. We'll figure it out when you train me."

This was quite the reversal, Allyson now her teacher. The Echani wondered how long it would take her to catch on, being a cyborg and all.

"We can start now...I'd like to meld with you again to feel what you do. I think that would help me understand."

Nodding, Allyson had a few people pressuring her to teach them. It was hard turning people down and Kat was the final straw which brought her to Jyoti’s door. The Echani brought up melding and Allyson’s hazel eyes stared at the other woman. She knew what melding was and her best memories with the technique were with the person sitting across from her.

But there were other times, where her mind was forcefully invaded. Allyson shook it off and continued to smile. “Yeah that would probably be for the best – would put us on the same page.” Allyson relaxed and made herself comfortable.

“Ready when you are. We haven’t done this in a bit hmm?"
