The void stone that was forged into this particular batch of voidsteel came from an accidental Clan Rekali incursion into Otherspace. A Rekali expeditionary ship stumbled into Otherspace while testing gravimetric equipment in the spacetime fluxes of the Hard Roil. When their instinctive astrogators proved unable to find reliable courses in a certain direction, they investigated and found a decent-sized lump of void stone in deep space. After they fixed their hyperdrive, the Rekalis returned to realspace and brought the void stone for processing by [member="Rel Connory"]'s associates.
