Ra stood up and stretched, rubbing her head slightly. She wasn't used to working on such small detail that it actually almost gave her a headache.

Following Stardust outside, she practiced maneuvering her little saber hilts in her hands. They were slightly different than her knives, but felt she would adjust to that quickly. She would also need to find different arm scabbards to keep these in as they won't fit her current ones. Just a project to work on in her own time and didn't mention anything to her friend.

"Test them how?"

Activate them of course, we must see if they function properly before we even start training

She said putting her arms to.her sides and showing off her saber as she pressed the activation button the white and black blades springing to life a a she gave them a spine then shut them off

"Eh good point and I should have thought of it first."

Ra gave Stardust a real smile and activated both the lightsabers she had. Both were purple and glowed in the sunlight of the garden.

"Wow, these are really beautiful. Shorter than a regular saber though."

Tipping her head in the direction of Stardust's lightsabers.

She gave A smile watching that people glow, soemthing about watching a apprentice 0ut one tigether and activate it made her proud. Maybe it was the fact she had taught the person and now they had completed it

moaned meant for direct combat against someone while yours is smaller lighter more maneuverable then me...shall we train now ra? In sure your eager to learn how to use them properly

Ra raised an eyebrow at Stardust, but returned the smile with a small one of her own.

"How can I combat a lightsaber with these? The reach is much greater for you."

Though she gripped these new blades like she had her old knives, the hum sounding like music in her ears. Twirling around a few times and spinning them in her hands to get the feel for them. They were much lighter than her knives, but felt comfortable.

"I think perhaps I should look into getting some sort of lightsaber resistant arm guards. Fighting with these like I'm used to, I'm likely to cut my own arms off."

She chuckled she had a ways to go for

you get in close with speed that's how, rather then brute force like me you fight rely on dodging getting close then bam

She said as she spun her around and had a droid come out that was used for practicing it had one saber within its hand as she smiled

now then we'll use this latwr, for now I want you to copy my positions don't be afraid of getting them wrong it happens

She said a a She assumed a passion feet placed apart from pacing her left arm out other saber pointed to the ground in a ready position

Ra shrugged slightly at what Stardust said. Not like she didn't care, but more as if that was what she figured.

"So like when I fight already."

Stardust told her to get into position like she did much like when Dune had started showing her the different lightsaber forms. She held the saber differently though. Inspecting the woman's stance, Ra attempted to mimic it exactly.

Her left hand and arm out, her left foot forward and right foot at an angle from her left, pointing her short saber downward.

not to bad! You can shift your position either way right can point forward and vice versa. Reason I point left is my arm has a trick up its sleeves, in factual your saber and hit my left arm

She said and held her left arm out, right now it had the synthetic skin on it so it looked like a normal arm...though underneath laid a full cortosis arm capable of shutting a saber down

Ra changed position to have her right hand and foot out, but it felt odd and went back to the other quickly. She shook her head.

"The first way is more comfortable."

Stardust then requested Ra strike her left arm with her saber as it had tricks with it. When they had met, the woman had told her some of what happened to her in her life and Ra knew it was made of cortosis. So she did not hesitate at all in raising one of the sabers to make a slice at her arm. When her saber went to connect, it was suddenly deactivated and Ra just look at the hilt.

"Nice trick", she said with a small smirk. "I should look into getting something like that to protect my arms. What is lightsaber resistant that could be used?"

She watched without flinching as the skin broke and Brun leaving a portion showing that golden glow of the metal, she rolled it and chuckles as she nodded

cortosis is the best protection against them and I know...just can't remember there's other resistant ones

She looked at the droid a she adjusted a few things and set it to the

Alright next one is simple fighting after thatvill get the ball droid and we will practice blocking sound Good

Ra nodded, she would look into what other materials were resistant and see about having arm guards made for her. Her fighting style didn't lend well to not having them.

"What will I be fighting?"

Instead of being a mirror or in the same position as earlier, Ra got into her own fighting stance and waited for Stardust to answer.

Her sabers were held so the blades were facing up her arms instead of out of her hands.

She spoke to the droid

initiate basic saber training difficulty apprentice

The droid powered up and got in a form one position as she stepped back the droid activating the training saber

this thing right here since you have real saber wouldn't want to cut me down right?....begin!

The droid would start circling her before it moved forward to strike at her left side with its single blade

Ra did not allow the training droid to get behind her as it circled. She kept her sabers between it and her. Bringing up her left arm, she blocked it's attack and made one of her own with her right hand to try and land a blow on it's left flank near its middle.

It moved back and blocked her strike on its left before it moved forward quick to strike at her arms, then would moved a bit back saber ready to you tp counter a forward attack on itself...but not the sides..

Ra had taught herself to fight with her whole body so when the training droid blocked her slash and make one its own, she moved backwards out of the way. She then took a leap up into the air, bringing her left saber down in a slash aiming for the right side of the droids head and a stab from behind with her right one. If either connected it would be a fatal blow for a humanoid.

The droid watched her bit was too late, the saber slash to its head took it out but the stab from behind shut it down and it crumpled with its eyes fading as stardust smiled

not bad not bad, must say you impress me ata every turn, I can say I'm proud...but we aren't done

She held a ball droid up that floated around her

blocking a lightsaber is easy it's up close however me and you both know blasters are ever present...we will practice with this little guy here on blocking and redirecting

Ra watched in satisfaction as her double attack not only connected but practically destroyed the training droid.

Stardust said she was impressed and proud at what Ra could do. Ra shrugged her shoulders slightly and gave her friend a smile.

"It's almost natural though."

She watched as the training ball came out and floated around Stardust. Ra had a few of her own and remembered quite well the sting they brought. Eyeing it warily, she looked at Stardust again.

"Oh yeah those things don't like me."

well so gave you've blades before you just need to translate the movement and make a few adjustments then boom there ya go

She sent the droid to circle ra, she looked at the droid and picked up the controller as it started it's movements, in the distant star heard her child crying and gave a

I'll be a minute little ones awake, just contiune as normal

She said the droid dud a full circle then stopped moving around before it fired for her stomach

In the past, Ra had been practicing with a staff to try and block these little stunning balls. She had never tried it with her knives. She had an idea though.

An infant was heard crying back in the house and Stardust excused herself to go take care of it. Ra nodded and watched she walked away.

That little ball though remained active and circled Ra. She allowed it to this time since she didn't want to be rude to her friend and turn away from her. Hearing the door close, Ra turned to the little ball.

"You're going to shock the pants off me, I just know it."

Replacing one of the sabers in her arm, she changed how she held the other and prepared to deflect and block any shots fired her way. The first came at her stomach and she lowered the short blade to deflect it downward into the ground. It worked.

The next few shots were random, but the way Ra now held the blade, her training with the Force (lacking from before) and her skill with knives, kept her from getting shocked more than once.

After a few minutes star came back out as she smiled the droidbwas still moving around her in its patterns, however star waved her hand and it shut off

well your not lying on the ground convulsing so you didn't get hit much that's good...now sit and let's mediate on what you learned today
